I really appreciate your reviews on these hush units. I have a couple questions if I may: I'm looking to start playing guitar and will use it for mainly making samples that'll go into hip hop beats and playing the occasional neo soul/RnB record. Would I be better suited getting the X or the I-Pro? If the I-Pro, could I DI it into my audio interface, drop an amp on the channel and get Electric guitar like tone or am I bugging out?
Wow that's am impressive result from a cheap brand guitar. 👍 I have a little Donner strat copy, I modified it a lot and it's a superb guitar now. Donner give you a lot of guitar for the money. But might need some fret and action finishing (mine did anyway)
Can you please tell, how low are the strings, can you put them very close to the frets, to put them as low as possible? To play easy complicated solos.
Nice video, very informative. I'm considering one as I travel a lot and I'm torn, I love both acoustic and electric sounds depending on my mood. Kinda wish this one had a little more electric sound capability though that overdrive sounds decent! Perhaps they'll release the X-pro at some point which will satisfy that want, i dont need that many acoustic types.
This comes with 11s... (The Hush 1, comes with 10s)... I think you could use 12s but probable need to file down the nut to get the 6th string to fit perfectly.
@@SumaFotosPeru O wait - it really is 11s? I'm planning to change strings for a Hush-i and my Hush-i Pro and bought two sets of 10s. I left the guitars plus strings with a guitar tech friend of mine. Is there documentation to say which gauge to fit each guitar? I can't seem to find it in the manual
@@calvinchong8740 I saw in some Donner documentation (on one of their international pages) that the Pro has 11ss, then I confirmed via email, because I wrote to Donner and they confirmed it to me. The Pro has 11 gauge strings I tested the Pro with 10s (for electric) and the bending was much easier, but I felt a lot of detuning when I pressed the frets (Especially on the upper frets) I think that for the 10s to work well, a luthier should prepare the nut and the bridge... But this is my case, maybe it will work well for you. Good luck
Thanks to Donner they made electro-acoustic guitar affordable, what's more with a mahogany body.

@@wizrom3046 totally agree! Most “beginner” guitars need some sort of set up and mods! Cheers 🍻

Gonna be traveling out of the country next year and have been considering buying one of these and now I think I’m completely sold on it
@@Turtlpwr glad I could help! 🙌👌
thank you for this great demo I just received my Hush-i Pro!
do you think it could fit in cabin baggage on a plane? thank you for your response
Yes, it fits in the cabin! Just make sure nobody puts anything on your guitar
I think this uses 10s. Can we restring with 11s or 12s? I can’t find any info anywhere

Can you load your own IRS?
@@CoreyMcConnell that I’m not sure about but I don’t think so. You can mix match all of the ones they give you though.
Yes you can, I do that, with my hush I Pro z because it has 20 IR slots
Could you comment on action please. Could my 8 year old play it
@@Ukejuggler yea
i have set up a few donner, yes u can lower the saddle and straighten the neck for better action
Its hard to take your "Honest review" seriously when you make money on selling it. Did you also get paid to do this video?
@@dpie4859 I’ve made $0 from commissions. The discount is for you guys. And no they didn’t pay me. I did get it for free. That’s how it is
