This would have been worth the investment if only it had 22 or 24 frets. Maybe adding a couple of inches to the neck could make it look like it is a bit longer, but would make a great compact sized guitar

Why? Can't we just place the Allen key to the check-in bag?
It's not necessary to place the Allen key inside the guitar!

We prefer the Tanglewood. Better quality pickup for sure. Entry level yamaha pickups are very low in gain when compared.
