    I have been a fan for years and followed his career. Many don't realise that when his dad died, Charles was scheduled to race that weekend. He was 17, got on a plane and showed up at the track. His team were shocked to see him but he said that his dad would have wanted him to be there. Gets in the car and started in last place and moved up to win the race. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd when he stood up there holding his trophy and pointed to the sky.

So much empathy towards his family, friends, people that surround him, and the fans. The man is full of discipline, fully commited, but still so humble ! A true role model for kids getting in motorsport but also in general. Amazing work in the inteview.

    As someone who goes to about five F1 races a year in the Paddock Club and has seen Charles interact with fans on numerous occasions, it astonishes me that anyone could ever accuse him of being arrogant. Anyone who does has never actually seen Charles in person.
    He is extraordinary humble, kind and generous with this him. Many drivers really don’t stop for fans. Especially the top ones. Charles does. He signs autographs, take selfies and give of his time even though he has little of it. He is unusual like that and a very fine and well-mannered person. He is the polar opposite of arrogant.
    Time will tell if he becomes an F1 world champion. I hope he does and he has the driving talent to do so. But as a human being, Charles LeClerc is a champion.

      Which top drivers exactly I'm curious because I have seen the top lets say to 3 at least stop for many fans, again just curious lol. But yeah Charles is top 3 drivers for me he's a great guy who drives a race car on the limit sometimes at his own detriment but I love it!

    • @lalalittle3900
      @lalalittle3900 5 месяцев назад +2

      Lewis stops for fans all the time. Even after the races are over he will greet many fans as they are still waiting around for him. I have also seen many more of the other drivers stop to take pictures and sign autographs. So, I'm not sure who you're speaking about specifically.

    • @teamredgutz399
      @teamredgutz399 5 месяцев назад +5

      @@lalalittle3900 Lewis will stop for fans for sure. Because he has a busy schedule and for security reasons often Merc will drop him off directly at the paddock swipe gate rather than put him in a position where he has to walk through a crowd to get there. But yes, when he has an opportunity to sign for fans, he definitely does so.
      I was not referring to Lewis. Because we often do take pictures of some of these drivers, we don’t like to make negative comments about drivers and alienate them or their handlers, PR people or physios.
      But of all the top drivers, we have found Charles to be the most accessible. He does rarely avoid crowds and almost always stops in addition. Many drivers jog to avoid them or use scooters. Others get dropped off at the swipe gates by cars. Charles usually doesn’t do that except in Monza because the Tifosi would literally trample him.

    • @ThmsDouglas

      @@teamredgutz399 That's very true and to be honest I can't blame them for it all the time because it has to be so insane dealing with so many people. You want me to be completely honest, I immediately thought you were trying to point at Max which at the time I thought, okay this person obviously is a hater because there's plenty of videos showing the opposite one in particular I thought was hella cute with this little blonde girl standing there with a picture she had drawn Max and when she saw him she starts hopping up and down the biggest smile on her face. Max is walking with one of the RB employees in conversation but he happens to look up and sees her and the biggest smile is on his face. 36:53 just to give a spot of context.
    2019, when Antoine- a close childhood friend passed in a formula 2 race at Spa, Charles talks about the difficulty of driving through the corners of that very track
    The car he had at the time was a Ferrari that wasn’t the quickest car across the year.
    Charles went on to win at Spa and fought Hamilton Valliantly to win in Monza - the very next race.
    To everyone that watched him race through those weekends, it was clear that he was someone extremely special.

      With ferrari cheated engine that year, the ferrari was definitely the fastest car on those 2 low downforce tracks. At monza, hamilton was less than 1 second behind almost every single lap during the whole race, yet still couldnt pass him on the straights with the tow + drs. That takes nothing away from charles performance, but acting like that cheated ferrari wasnt faster on those 2 tracks is a joke

    Charles talking about how much scarier it is to watch his brother drive vs driving F1 himself is one of the most relatable things as an older sibling. One thing I really love about his interviews is how it shows how much he values his family and the people around him and I hope they can always keep him grounded and secure about himself.

    Charles, you're a Gem! All class and substance. The best part of Monaco was the love and tears that Prince Albert gave you. I usually watch everything after the race, but allI wanted to remember of this race was the podium and everything that happened there. And I am a Verstappen fan.... But, tongue in cheek, I have more than one F1 driver I support. Hope you give 'em hell next year.
