    • @NarasimhaDiyasena
      @NarasimhaDiyasena 28 дней назад +78

      Leaked documents show it cost $12k to build an F150. So it costs more or less the same to produce the Bronco, and other vehicles. Anything beyond a 2x profit margin is Ford and other manufacturers getting away with price gouging the ‘new normal’ set a decade ago that keeps increasing.

      There is a lot more that goes into the Bronco Raptor, ultimately it's a way more capable and durable vehicle - but for a very similar experience 99% of the time, I think that makes the Ranger Raptor pretty good value.

      Honestly dont see the point of a trd pro or trailhunter. People personalize their trucks with aftermarket anyways so its probably more cost effective to get a lower trim without all that extra packaging and build it the way you like it. A trd sport or offroad is a better choice at a lower pricepoint and you can get the hybrid power in those too

    The keypad on the fords is an underrated feature. My old escape had it back in the day and I used it all the time when I was going to the field/ courts with my buddies for some pickup games. If you’re in a lowkey place you can just lock your keys inside the car and not worry about it. Or if you’re just running out to grab something from the car you don’t need your key to get in. It’s an underrated feature that as far as I’m aware is unique to ford. If I ever own another ford there is no question it will have it optioned. This ranger raptor is a cool truck but I’m not so hot on all the piano black and laggy touch screen. For the price it’s pretty hard to beat in the segment.

    Blind Spot mirrors are a saving grace, even if they look dumb or out of place, I'll always have them on my vehicles. I personally don't use the small circles though, I got a roughly 3" x 2" rectangle one that's angled. Fits well on the Maverick mirrors and it doesn't cover up the BS indicator symbol.

      @@zerounderscore Yeah, that works very well. I ran that way for a while but eventually decided to stick with the blind spot mirrors. Now I have my mirrors adjusted so that I see the rear door handle in the bottom right corner of the mirror and the blind spot mirror attached in the bottom left. Allows me to see pretty much everything all at once. Especially helps when backing into a spot - since I can see where my rear tires are now.

      The best thing you can do in this situation is to not over dress the little one and limit the layers of blankets. Lastly push the vents to blow to the side and upwards a little since heat travels up. I had a tacoma and it was nice and cool in the back when we had one baby. She would sit back there with him and she was often cold that I had to dial up the temp.

    Skip MFG reccomendations for oil changes just go with 5k intervals, or if you dont put a lot of miles, every spring and fall. I have seen a lot of stained and sludge engines with 10k intervals as these run hot due to emissions regulations and cook the oil. Oil in the US is not so expensive so 5k intervals will not break the bank. Also short trips to the office for example if you are barely warming up and then shutting the engine off, thats a good sign for OCI of 5k or under. I have a 3.6L Town and Country with 185k miles and the engine inside is still spotless. I have seen that same engine stained and sludged with 10k intervals.

    Ford lane keep tip: put a 1 or 2 lb ankle weight wrapped tightly around the steering wheel at the 5 o’clock position and you won’t need to keep touching the wheel. Instant bluecruise 2.0 lol Have fun!

    You can also disable the auto/start stop with a trailer light test plug in, it just has to have a light so there is current flow.

    I wish I could drive that ranger. It looks so fun!. I just got a Chevy Colorado 2008, although it is an old pickup truck, It is just so much fun to drive having off-road tires on it and rear wheel drive, it's a blast 👌🏼 😂

    I really wish Ford put some small amber running lights on the front grill or hood to give it that aggressive raptor feel. I know its a regulation to be on the F150 Raptor because it's so wide but I think having them on the Ranger raptor as well would heighten its appearance. There's even 3 small spots in the top of the grill that look like its made for ambers so maybe it would be a fun aftermarket mod! Such a good looking truck! Congrats on the new addition! (both mechanical and human 😄)

    In a few years when these land on the used market with a decent chunk of that $ hit gone, I will likely pick one of these up. I daily a 1996 Mazda B2300 and considered getting an F150 raptor a couple years ago, but it just didnt make a ton of sense for me to have a huge truck just for dailying, as comfortable and cool as the F150 raptor is. This one makes a lot more sense for me.

    You can change all your settings including auto engine turn off and whatever your sound and driving preferences, including turning off that adaptive cruise, are and save them with the R on the wheel. Then you can just push the R next time you start and all your options will turn back on.

    20:45 Love my 2017 LX570, the three kids love it too, they get upset if we ever have a service loaner. The better half is like: "these seats don't support my butt like the LX does." They love having their mid row climate controls and I put in all the 'charging infrastructure' they could ever need.
