What are your thoughts on the metcon 6 vs metcon react turbo? Are either of them an all around training shoe...running, rowing, cycling, aerobics, walking, and etc.?
Either are terrific for training. I'd say the Metcon React is better for running over the 6. But I wouldn't wear these for any long walks or runs. I'd leave them for workouts that involve weights.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. For the purposes of improving the information, what is it that you feel was publicity? The purpose of the video was to provide insight into the designers thought process, as well as the intellectual property behind it. Personally, I love their design, and knowing the structure of the shoe, I can understand it's utility. It also helps me breakdown the differences of other shoes on the market. All feedback is appreciated.
@@joaotrigueiros5511 and what is your opinion when using Nike Metcon for Strength Training? I'm looking for some new shoes to perform Deadlifts, Squats, Bench, OHPs, Farmer Walks and other similar stuff, would you recommend? Would love to hear you out buddy.

I used to own a pair of metcon 1 and I gotta say that they were amazing during my workouts, never had a complaint or anything like that, it felt great when I did squats or deadlifts
this seems very very scripted. the way your eyes move looks like youre just remembering or reading a text rathen than talking about your experiences with the shoe.
Hey, thanks for watching and the feedback! That's generally my flow of videos. The first video on a product will generally be objective and touch on features, intellectual property, clinical studies, etc. I want to present to the viewer what the market differentiator is so you have more information to make your own decision. In future follow-up videos, it'll be my own personal review of the shoe. I did this on the Reebok Nanos, already. Working on the best formula for the channel so I appreciate your feedback.
So basically if you don’t squat, deadlift and do rope climbs buying these don’t make any sense. Even then, 99.99% of people don’t do rope climbs and something like converse works fine for squats and deadlifts for 1/3 the price. Don’t get these unless you’re loaded w cash or one of those 0.01% of people who’ll get use of them.
Most brand new shoes are uncomfortable at the first few wears except with the UB's and Reacts but, still most of my new shoes needs some breaking in. Plus the Metcons are not use for it's comfortability.
I don't even go to the gym but I love my Metcons 5, they're perfect, look bomb, and they're amazing for a workout 😁 even though I don't use them for exercise anymore because I don't want to ruin them 😂 highly recommend
@@adoboFosho why does it matter, I can't wear Metcons because they're made for lifting? And not that it concerns you but I've been trying to for a while, in Metcons, but I have a back problem, and I don't have anyone to fix my form so I'm afraid to hurt my back and my hamstrings get crazy stiff. And as I've said, I love those shoes, I don't care for what they are, so keep your nose out of my shoe closet and don't be a dick
how is the space in the toe box in the met con 6? nike is notorious for being the shoe for people with narrow feet which is why I have always gravitated to the reebok nano . I had the first nike metcons but they were just to tight on my foot towards the toe box.. it looks like the new material on the 6 will allow for the toe box to stretch out .
The team that designed this were on a different level. The idea behind the four quadrants and then the execution is perfect. Thank you for bringing this information to me. I had no idea that much went into it
This has to be the best review I have seen for these shoes. The breakdown of the design was informative, and going as far as investigating the patent is awesome. So much fluff and hype around so many products looking into the patent can really reveal how much actual new tech is in a shoe. I have a pair of Metcon 6's, they were my first weight training specific shoe, always wore running shoes or Vans, but they do make a big difference. I also have problems with one of my feet/ankles due to an ankle fusion and arthritis, and these shoes really offer great stability and I feel like I've actually gained some mobility from the past year of working out in them. I always had a problem being able to keep my left heel down when squatting or doing leg presses due to the ankle fusion. Now I can go to 90 degrees without any heel lift, which I was not able to due before. I personally am not a huge Nike fan due to all the China slave labor stuff, but in this case I just can't find a better shoe to replace it with. The Reebok's seem to have mixed reviews, and I don't care for the Nobull styling. I think I am going to replace my 6's with some 7's here pretty soon.
Are you paid by Nike ??? This shoe isn't incredible , it's not much more than good at best . Cut it open and I'm sure you'll see why . Blindly repeating the marketing blurb is hardly a good review . 😭👎
I bought the metcon 5s just because they looked cool, once I put them on I was like damn these feel great, had to look up what whas it about, feel like I struck gold lol
still running my Metcon 2, They still holding strong. Design wise I feel like the Metcon 3 and 4 was the pinnacle, I love the star like design of the midsole. I find the 4 and 5 bland.
I've read "Shoe Dog" and it was a very good read. I'm trying to get back into shape after a major procedure and so I purchased a pair if Metcon's. An incredible shoe, light but strong and flexible. So I purchased another pair and this iteration is even better than my initial pair, your video was on point.
Finally a shoe review that doesn't tell you the stuff that's already on the website! Great job! Would love to see one on the Romaleos/Savaleos as well!
I feel like the metcons peaked at the 4... Under armour Tribase reign is definitely a better straight up shoe unless you have super narrow feet then definitely go with the metcons or if you need a wider toe box then the nano. But even after 3 iterations the Tribase reign has been amazing, with the Tribase outsole which is also on the project rock 3 and other UA training shoes. With full length micro G the Tribase reign is easier to run in, even with a 2mm drop. Definitely worth a try if you haven't checked it out.

Shoes don't need to be that tight, godamn! So disappointed. The most frustrating thing also, is that you're lucky if you even found metcons at a store... now they got the shelves stocked but I can't wear them.

From a physics perspective, this is 100% true. Perhaps too much of an engineering perspective.
i’m very flat footed/fallen arch and hoping these will help w squatting as i lean forward and knees cave in. thanks for the info!
Should I buy these if I’m doing body weight stuff and for leg day or just stay with my basketball sneaker? I’m flat foot if that helps.
