@@blessembreaks That's what I fear is actually worse than a 50% chance of happening. We are just going to have to do the best with what we have to work with and resign ourselves to a slow process of clawing our way back. In CPC' time it only took a few years. But now under NIL and multiple portal periods it's gonna take 3-4 years at least.
Marc as a life long USC fan this weekend would be a massive success if Juju decided to shut it down and cancel the rest of his OVs. It would be over the top if he did so while wearing full USC gear with the Coliseum field as the back drop.
That said I dont blame the youngman for enjoying the OV recruiting experience . As I have stated before my ⏰ alarm clock is set for two days and they are the mornings of 12/7/2024 and 2/6/2025. I dont have the energy to ride the recruiting roller-coaster with these youngmen so I am all in the morning after LOIs are signed. FIGHT ON ✌✌✌✌✌

I think LR should sell to Juju the idea that if he were to cancel the remaining OV’s on his schedule that then SC could focus on building a roster around him to put us in a better position to win nattys. We could get more top skill players now that the building blocks of that has been set up by the new coaches.

Here is how I see the recruiting this year !
First in order for USC to hold its commitments at a high level they need to go at least and 9 and 3 . Translating to keep 80% of the identified recruits.
To break this down ; the offense has to be in the top ten . The defense has to be in the top 40. Anything less I think their recruiting will be affected like last year . We will get some verbal and even some written commitments but many will see how the team performs this year . I truly hope you are right in predicting they will go at least 9 and 3.

Okay, I have long thought ACDC Thunderstruck is the perfect entry song for the Trojans. It has a great buildup (guitar riff at the beginning) just before the explosion when the team runs onto the field! It also has a tie in with the "Thundering Herd" a huge part of Trojan history and lore. I can imagine a video of historic game film from the Howard Jones Thundering Herd to the modern Trojans being flashed on the scoreboards... This could be the next great tradition from the Riley era. Marc made mention of this song as if a team might already use it??? I know the Bengals use Welcome to the Jungle but I'm not aware of Thunderstruck being used. Even if it is lets co-opt it!!

JuJu was planning to shut it down in June, now it’s by the end of summer. I agree the earlier he is known as fully onboard, the better he can ensure getting the best talent to surround him.

The bigger problem with the team entrance music is the fact that not everyone is in the stadium yet. Our late arriving fans have an impact on the energy & build-up.

Both local D1 schools said no- none of their players were good enough for SC. SC only wants the best guys likely to go the the NFL."

I personally don't think he should cancel his visits...I don't believe he's actually doing visits for the experience...I think he's on the recruiting trail to bring guys with him what better place to do it then on the schools campuses...He already said Coach Riley produces heisman trophy's and first round picks JuJu has always known where he wants to play at
