Jason-- I really can't thank you enough for putting these Ashtanga videos together. I have been using them in my practice daily, for years now. Many blessings and thanks to you.
You’re welcome. Not exactly sure what you mean about your hands/arms not fitting on the mat- but there are some longer/wider yoga mats out there that you might be able to get hold of. Good luck 🙏
fantastic, thanks for making this video ❤ and your mat is wide and simple, after years practicing somehow my hand/arms doesn’t fit the normal mats anymore, can u give us a tips how to access such a mat? 🙏
The perfect Xmas companion. Felt like being guided today and you're video did the trick. Thanks so much for this. BTW, your execution of the second series is excellent.
Thank you- the main difference between the two series is that the intermediate series has more challenging postures than the primary series. Both series have essentially the same sun salutations, standing and finishing posture, but the middle part of the practice- mostly seated postures- vary from series to series. Hope that helps :-)
Thanks for sharing your practice! One question, have you edited guru ji counting of Surya namaskar into 5?? Whatever video I've seen from him was only 3 Surya namaskar in practices. I was wondering why nowadays it's 5??
Marjan Samooty You’re welcome 🙏 Yes, I edited the audio from the 1993 version to make it 5 A Sun Sals, also I tweeted it to include Parsvakonasana B (revolved twist which wasn’t in the standing postures back then!) and slowed down the pace a little during the seated postures as it was fairly speedy in places..... quite a few subtle changes to bring it up-to-date: I essentially based it on Sharath’s led second I did last year in London. Thanks for your comment 🙏
Thank YOU! I'm so glad I found your channel and the resources in your website, especially the PDF charts. Gonna use them daily! thanks again for sharing your knowledge !🙏
I don't have a teacher yet. Does your teacher let you know when you're ready to advance to 2nd, 3rd and so forth along with attending KPJAYI? When if you surpass your teacher? Thanks for this! :D
Yes, your teacher will traditionally let you know, and give you extra postures. I guess if you surpass your teacher, you could also become a teacher! But I know only a few people who practice 3rd and 4th series.
Just to let you all know I recently released an exciting new video of the Primary Series but laid out in a unique never-before-seen format: all the information about Sanskrit count, asana name, drishti, breath, modifications is also displayed on the screen for each posture and movement. Check out the Sun Salutations and Standing Postures recently added here on my RUclips Channel ruclips.net/video/7s_GZfRa9fA/видео.html or for the full Primary Series click here: www.onyouryogamat.com/primary
@@on_your_yoga_mat I see. Been practicing half primary and third series recently, thought second would be less intense, but boy, oh boy. I had to came to a halt in the middle of it. But great practice, I’ll follow and keep practice. Thank you for your efforts🙏
So nice with the 'Car adjustment' in Supta Vajrasana...🙂

Wonderful unique idea to have Guruji's voiceover with correct count, breath and hold times. Many thanks to you

This is intermediate?
Yes- though the term “intermediate” here refers specifically to the 2nd sequence of the various Ashtanga Yoga series 🙏
@@on_your_yoga_mat I see. Been practicing half primary and third series recently, thought second would be less intense, but boy, oh boy. I had to came to a halt in the middle of it. But great practice, I’ll follow and keep practice. Thank you for your efforts🙏
Car was Strange... 😃
