I really have no idea how could express my gratitude to you for creating this wonderful video!.. This is my daily staple! Thanks a lot, much love.. God bless..
This is probably my favorite Ashtanga video on youtube so far. I wouldn't have been able to do this one without the others that give more guidance, but this one is perfect for those who already have the practice down for the most part. Thank you.
Thanks Jason, I am using this constantly to help me go through the primary series. To be lead by Sri Pattahbi Jois’ voice really helps set the state of mind for the practice of the series and it is a double bonus to be able to follow your wonderful form. Many thanks. This has been so useful.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I am using it daily now instead of the original. Really appreciate you taking the time to film, edit, and add the audio to share with all of us.
Of all the videos probably this one is the best guide with Guruji himself.Very useful to practice on your own .It gives both the short (A) and long (B)forms of the Surya namaskar.
Just to let you all know I recently released an exciting new video of the Primary Series but laid out in a unique never-before-seen format: all the information about Sanskrit count, asana name, drishti, breath, modifications is also displayed on the screen for each posture and movement. Check out the Sun Salutations and Standing Postures here on RUclips ruclips.net/video/7s_GZfRa9fA/видео.html or for the entire sequence go to onyouryogamat.com/primary
Thanks! The counts are perfectly paced with respect to my breathing. Other videos that I refer to, especially the one by Sharath Jois, I find the counts to much faster. It will be kind, if you also do the one hour variation that has middle sequence ending at Navasana, the opening and closing sequence will remain same. I do refer the one hour video that is posted by you, but I find the sequence to continue beyond Navasana. Thanks again, appreciate the work you did on this video to make it accessible to all of us!
Hi Anupam, I agree. Also in RUclips settings you’re able to alter the speed of the video. I set it to different speeds depending on the type of practice I’m doing.
tiquetonne44 .... PDFs for this series available at onyouryogamat.com/pdfs/ if you want- scroll down to- Advanced tradition Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series- there are 3.
You’re welcome. I just have PayPal on my website for donations (it can convert currencies) or instead please donate to a worthwhile charity in Goa- www.wagoa.com/ 🙏🙏
Razan Smairat I edited the audio on my computer (copy, paste cut etc)- he actually doesn’t specifically say the name of this posture, just “B” (it’s the same as the trikonasana B count!). And then I practiced to it- email me if you’d like the MP3 😀🙏
on your yoga mat ohhhh! Its seems so seamless and smooth... I have always wondered why he skipped it! Or maybe it was just a filming mistake! Is there any other asana also skipped in the original i should know about? Yes I would love to have the mp3 one!
Apparently it was omitted back then; and just a few minor differences in the seated postures. (Plus I corrected the count in a few places too!) Try this Dropbox link for MP3 cheers: www.dropbox.com/s/52h5a5a0or5gn4k/GurujiPrimaryVid%20%281%29.mp3?dl=0

Kindly, what are the words at the beginning, and what their meaning?
Hi, if you send me an email to jason@onyouryogamat.com I can send you a PDF with the words and the translation
Oṁ, vande gurūṇāṁ caraṇāravinde
sandarśita-svātma sukhāvabodhe
niḥśreyase jāṅgalikāyamāne
saṁsāra-hālāhala-moha-śāntyai
I bow to the lotus feet of the Gurus,
(through whom) one's own Self is revealed for easy understanding,
(who is) the best doctor/herbalist,
relieving delusion, the poison of Samsara
ābāhu puruṣākāraṁ
śaṅkha-cakrāsi-dhāriṇam
sahasra-śirasaṁ śvetaṁ
praṇamāmi patañjalim
I prostrate to the thousand-headed radiant Sage Patañjali,
who is in human form up to his arms and holds a conch, discus, and sword[
How do You get this good to begin with?
Thanks- just practising regularly and not becoming too attached to the physical postures; they simply unfold with time
You only do yoga or also lift weights I want to know 🙏
Dr. Dipak Hatwate just yoga 🙏
@@on_your_yoga_mat wow that's great I want to build physique like u lean strong athletic
Can only doing asthnga yoga give me that result?
Dr. Dipak Hatwate I’m sure there are other ways, though it’s not the reason I practice yoga 🙏🙏
@@on_your_yoga_mat Namastey 🙏🙏
