Well, Henson, you got me. I am heavily resistant to advertising. I rarely bother to buy anything advertised online. I saw your ads a few times and went to see as many real reviews as I could. Almost all of them praised how good this razor is for beginners. So, after months of pondering, I finally decided to get one. I should get mine in about a week or two. Fingers crossed, my experience will be as good as everyone else.

Use good wet lather, the factory blades are junk...RK blades really suck...try others you will be happy...
Also don't use too much pressure, best damn razor ever made, the best.

@@umbertosmith7014 Agreed, the razor is great. Zero learning curve. Initially got the mild version to play it safe. Then got the medium. Wish I had got the medium first, cuts way more efficiently and feels just as safe as the mild.
Also, agree on the RK blades. I thought I was doing something wrong with the RK blades. Kept nicking myself against the grain. Then recently I got a variety pack and settled on Bic chrome platinums, it is almost feather blade sharp and at a much cheaper price.

I just bought 2 for my sons and gave them to them yesterday. They are 19 and 17 years old. I couldn’t wait til Christmas. It was so special for a dad to give his son’s something so special. They will have this for years to come and we will always have the memory of all going into the bathroom and trying them out together. Seriously needs to be part of your marketing. It’s a milestone in a man’s life. Why would you give your son some Harry’s Bullshit. Ha. This razor is insane!!! Sooooo good. Now I need one for me!

I know this may sound ridiculous, but the Henson AL13 (Mild) changed my life. For the average person, or person with sensitive skin, I am convinced this is the best razor ever made. This razor is a truly unique tool, and provides a shave experience no other razor on the market can offer. This is not your average DE razor, it is a premium razor. This is the only razor you will ever need for life.
I have very course hair and sensitive skin, so I had to deal with razor burn, ingrown hairs, tugging, and razor clogging my entire life. When I switched to DE razors it helped alleviate the clogging, tugging, and ingrown hairs. However, I still had problems with razor burn or irritation after shaving in the morning. When I used the Henson for the first time I was absolutely amazed. This razor is smooth, and it is nearly impossible to cut yourself. If you get the shave angle wrong it won't cut you, it simply won't cut at all, which eliminates mistakes. I now own a ridiculous amount of razors and the Henson razors are my favorite. This is the most well machined precise razor in my entire collection, exceeding the tolerances of the most expensive artisan razors on the market. Trust me, if you are considering using a safety razor, the Henson AL 13 is the only razor you will ever need.
Thank you for making this razor Henson! P.S. I beg you, please make a stainless steel version of this razor.

@@DrDoke Use very, very light pressure and don't make long strokes. Let the razor do the work. When going from a cartridge razor to a DE razor, you basically need to learn how to shave all over again.

Not enough water in your lather...and you are pushing too hard, also the factory supplied RK blades are not with a very good coating on the blade so they tug like heck...
Try a slicker lather and different blade. Nacet or Feather will be amazeballs
