Elden Ring just received a patch and it fixed the missing scaling on many of the arcane weapons! This build is even better now!
hey man at what SL do you get the most players playing the game generally? plan to buy this game and hit pvp and dont want to grind further than i have to.

Since release I've been watching nothing but Elden Ring content and of all channels this is by far my most favourite one. Chase is such a wholesome and respectful guy there's so much positive vibe going on around here

If you want check out some of his ds3 content, his invasions are just as good to watch as elden ring, and so are his builds.
Yeah, Chase has grown a lot over these years. He got his toxicity out a few years back. He wasn't bad, but he had some salt. After all this time, though, he's proven his skill to himself, and he's calmed down.
Really great guy.

One of the claymore invasions made it in, massive dub. Don’t be afraid to try bleed on weapons you wouldn’t normally! You’d be surprised how effective it can be. Dual wielding curved swords with bleed is insane as well. If it can have seppuku, it can be cracked.
yah I've been using double occult scavenger curved swords with seppuku and they have 70 base bleed at 47 arcane and +14 with good ar too which is nice! :)
@@smarthipan From an admittedly small amount of testing on my arcane character it looks like weapons with no innate bleed will be just as strong as weapons that do. My maxed out Falcion and Mantis Blade had the same amount of bleed with a bleed infusion as the Scavenger's Curved Sword did with one. I don't really like that since weapons with bleed tend to have lower base damage to compensate.
(Edit because I forgot to add my main point) I suppose Occult or no infusion at all is the better choice for weapons like that. But it just seems a little off since it just made a cool sword I liked irrelevant for my build. One that should have been the better choice.
@@themrrental2509 yeah blood buildup looked the same to me despite innate status when I tested too which is why I went occult on the innate bleed scavenger swords for the extra damage :)
Flamberge is really good. Don’t like the move set as much as the Claymore
@@themrrental2509 with an innate bleed weapon you can put on a damage infusion though, and keep the buildup if you want
I like arcane builds because of the discovery boost. Makes item farming much easier. 253 discovery with the charm and bullet helmet. Im finding full armor sets and weapons much faster.
this is my first souls game, and i have been watching you for a few days and i must say the amount of knowledge you have is incredible and they way you explain things is second to none. you are my go to and you deserve every sub you get. i just wanted to say thank you because without you i wouldn't have a clue. Whips are so underrated. I discovered that Frost/Bleed paired on them was such a wonderful invasion setup early on and have been giving hosts and their buddies the lash of the spanking ever since. Fire Giant's Whip's unusual moveset involves a HUGE amount of hyperarmor, it's worth trying!

Only some of the legendary ones are bugged, the ones who require somber

@@NappaTheInvincible Nah, its only the ones with split/elemental damage. For instance, rivers of blood deals physical and fire damage, and is bugged. Marias greatsword deals physical and magic, and is bugged. Weapons like Reduvia are not bugged.
The albinauric staff (I think is the name?) doesn't scale

Oh man I can’t wait for scaling to get fixed on all the special arcane weapons. I’ve been having a ton of fun invading with my incantation focused faith/int build using the elden stars incantation for pressure and the lightning incantations.

How have you build you character then? I am also looking for a build like that, but i am quite unsure about how i put my level Points. Because leveling dex, faith and arcane is quite a wide spectrum
I’ve been waiting for someone I trust to make a video on arcane, there’s tons of misleading info out about the stat at the moment. It’s nice to see you doing cool things with the build.
Started playing as quality but quickly fell in love with using two lordsworns straight swords infused with blood. I was using a blood godskin peeler too but this idea of switching between a frost build up and bleed is great will definitely be trying it out, love the vids 🙌🏼
Got a co-op guy who was also using the same build while I was helping someone in Farum Azula. We melted a dragon with those status procs. Arcane builds are really fun.
I would love to see a crafting quality build! That's what I'm running at the moment and it's really fun to have so many options in your bottom slot.

This build looks super interesting. The better loot from arcane sounds nice bcuz I chose a wretch at the start. I'm new to this series so it made sense to keep options open. I love enchanting in games and arcane seems to revolve around enchantment type stuff.

Mohg's Spells are a lot of fun to use in pvp, they make a great addition to an arcane build.

just mix it that is what I am doing. Currently have a mix between warrior + mage
I went arcane last night to try out the Bloody Helice's and I've been having quite a bit of success with them in powerstance. The jumping L1 does a downward double stab that hits pretty well, and it's weapon art feels like it was specifically designed to counter Moonveil and people who over-commit to attacks because of the i-frame dodge and follow up poke poke slash combo when you go L2 + R2 + R2. Not sure what the PC inputs would be sorry. But I also had success getting people to chase me because it's running L1 is a really fast double stab that I believe can score a headshot if you're lucky enough so I bait people into chasing me then hit L1 and immediately afterwords turn around so the attack goes off in their face. I also went up to 15 faith for the dragon rot breath since I had a talisman that increases my damage when things are afflicted with rot/poison.
I love love love that weapon art. It's the main thing I miss after respeccing to faith

@@GamesDiddley i think he just means the crit you get when they’re on the ground
Players don't fall to the ground with sleep, they just have a very short animation that only R1s or uncharged R2s or AI enemies can take advantage of.
@@mkv2718 that doesn’t work on players either I’m afraid. They’re just stunned for a couple of seconds while standing up
I used dual whip a lot in DS2 and even more so in Elden Ring.
Orumi as main hand whip will do you wonders. Special heavy attack that starts as normal whip heavy but charging it makes it add a very long straight stab.
The best roll catch is rolling attack and crouch attack. Staggered 2 forward only whip strikes.
The back step attack is also very useful for distance punishing. Does similar to the last attack chain hit, which is similar to the jumping attack.

now *apparently* if any weapon has innate stat effects, if you make it occult, so a weapon that scales with arcane, the stat will now scale. I'm going to try it shortly, will edit this comment if true/false
EDIT: it is with a heavy heart that I inform you all, it is not any stat, only bleed seemed to be affected. The only other weapon with an innate stat you can ash of war is some of the rot weapons, which do not change with an occult infusion
from my tests, if I chose to make the weapon occult instead of blood infused, it would gain some more physical damage from arcane scaling but lose out on a decent amount of bleed build up. Personally I prefer the higher bleed rate.
The axe "Ripple blade" gets an S scaling in arcane, I would love to see the physical output of that with this build
I’ve found that it’s actually mediocre compared to other arcane weapons.

-Doesn’t scale with any other stats
-Weapon skill is locked & not very useful.

@@bigimportantman1544 Yeah, I looked at that weapon and im kinda confused as to why it exists. Why the super high scaling in arcane without any status proc. Can you buff it? Maybe thats its purpose. Use whatever status you like weapon. It is really easy to stock up on buffs in ER

I just haven’t messed with the weapon oils to see how effective it is.
@@SomeUnkindledAsh Yep, it can be greased or upgraded with spells, just no ashes. It was useful on my build a few times when bleed didn't do anything. but otherwise its kind of meh.

You should try the vkye spear, the maxed out finger print great shield, the greatshield talisman, and the shield charge. Youll be able to block without using stamina. If they get close you can chain stun with the shield charge by hitting them with the passive madness it builds up, and the spear can be used while blocking. It's what I use and it's broken ^~^
I'm running a faith dex but I use vykes offhand. Fire scales with faith so it's nice. I throw in some madness incantations where I can and also bloodflame blade, my other weapons are Keen but with innate bleed. Then throw on Holy damage incant where I can. I'm the holy mad blood ninja I guess? So fun
I also love the vyke weapon art damage

I started playing at release with a bandit + bleed and it's so satisfying to get bleed procs. My favorite build by far.
Agree I started with uchigatana, and bleed in it is not that good but it is there still, then I rushed the capital and main bosses and left basically all dungeons undone, but my uchigatana was useless and I needed more bleed (since u know, damage in percentage ignores big health and armor) so I used un upgraded claws with blood buff and It was op.

Literally created a build for Bleed yesterday and boy i already have multiple weapons in mind from different classes that all fit the build both effectively AND visually (which is way more important hahahah Elden Bling ftw)
might just be that I'm bad, but I find the whips are really hard to fight against, especially is you're not used to their moveset, they also have a surprisingly large range
They’re homing attacks, so dodging too early or too late will definitely hit you. It’s only downside is the slow attack speed. They’re effective in pvp, because people attack in small bursts unless of course if you’re a mage who just spams.
Whips get pretty countered by an aggressive playstyle
Whips arent that great honestly they lack dmg attackspeed and poise dmg so you can just trade with them on almost any build with almost any weapon
The only reason they are good is because they do multi hits and the garbage connection makes it almost impossible to dodge. Another easy to use weapon as long as your connection is better than the other player. Yawn.
Ok, I watched this video just earlier after commenting and subbing and Holy crap, you've convinced me on a whole new build!! Gonna run dual antspur rapier with frenzied flame and frozen needle as secondary. I'm going to focus on doing as much and as many build up as possible. Calling the build "Miasma of Death" and will role play character as a descendant of Nitto from Dark Souls. You're awesome!
I also use Hoslow's Petal Whips and I love them. Powerstancing then is such a joy. Glad to see you using them as well.
Eleonora's Polearm is also has bleed build up, it has a really cool WA as well :]
EDIT: I just learned it has a scaling bug, which is a shame because this weapon is so cool, I hope they fix it soon....

Made up my mind arcane is the ng+ build
I used the godskin stitcher with the bloody helice because I haven't found anyone to get a second godskin from but it absolutely dominated everyone. It's great pressure against the evil wizards in the game. Very fun build overall keep up the great content chase!

What about the bloody flies / rot dragon breath too with a +10 dragon communion seal? Might be worth adding
2x scavenger curved swords with bloodhounds step / seppuku looks good also
i play that build, it slaps.
A tip, when you seppuku yourself to coat your weapon in blood, it removes whichever affinity you chose through your ash of war and basically applies blood grease(on top of damaging you and costing mana). But if you have it set to standard, heavy, keen, or quality it keeps the affinity of those and applies the blood grease/seppuku on top. I noticed this on my arcane build with my occult weapon that had seppuku, the AR on my weapon decreased when I used seppuku.

Because these people are not good. Compare the way they fight vs how the uploader fights.
They’re very stale by comparison, whereas the uploader uses multiple different tools and techniques. He also keeps in mind what his opponent is doing.
Also simply because his builds are OP and may possibly get nerfed in the future
He also min-maxes his stats, poise, and weapon upgrades to ensure he invades low-leveled, inexperienced, casual players.
Not to take away from his skill level. He’s a great player! Just makes his chipper disposition come off as psychopathy when you consider what he’s doing.
@@NineEyedRaven He varies his levels a lot in his DS3 videos, I imagine that he'll do the same once most people beat this game. End game invasions are going to be a thing, but only after the majority of the player base gets that far.

Can you do an evasion video without using Hoarfrost Stomp? I just want to see some good old quality skill based battles. I know people may cheese you with it, but I think you're good enough to not use it and do well. The move is just absurdly broken and takes away from the quality of your fights imo.
I'd say on higher levels mixing in 25 faith is quite useful since you at that level you unlock golden vow along with almost all incantations, except the most overkill ones that are usually not worth running, and you can use the dragon communion seal which gains S incant scaling off arcane and even B scaling off faith, it also boosts dragon breaths.
Arcane builds are my favourite so far, I really enjoy the bleed powerstancing!

Him dodging the night and flame attack precisely without even seeing it is such overwhelming game sense, it's like he has eyes on back of his head.

I'm so horrible at pvp in this game, well in general I'm not great, but I do enjoy watching these videos on what people do and how they play. The swapping of weapons via the inventory screen is definitely something I didn't think about. No clue how the people in these vids do it so quickly.
