Not sure I would ever use peel and stick but you may have changed my mind for backsplash. Cost does seem higher but I guess if I do not need mastic/grout etc may even out
I let it dry. Either way it really doesn’t make a big difference. The idea would be the peel and stick adhere to the dry caulk better more than likely. Hope that helps!
I think that would depend on how textured it was. The thin, sticky backing is going to be able to account for some surface deviation, but not a whole bunch. 🤷
The wall is simply smooth finished drywall that is painted. If you have an aggressive texture, it may cause issues. If it’s relatively flat, you should be fine if the paint is clean. I hope that helps!
You are churning out the vids. Are most of your projects the first time you've done it? Or is this like your 2nd or 3rd house and you're just now sharing your knowledge?
Great question! I’ve been in construction for over 20 years, so a lot of what I show comes from that experience. That said, sometimes it is my first time tackling certain projects, but I lean on what I’ve learned to figure it out as I go. My goal is to share the process, whether it’s something I’ve done before or I’m learning along the way. Appreciate you watching!

Nice video, man. Just curious, why do you use Ridgid?
Did you let the caulk dry before putting the backsplash on or was it still tacky?

Is that area textured? curious if it would affect it at all
