    i use the mr624 for 2 years now. Why i stick to hem is that they have 0 listening fatigue. I mix on them and i also game/watch movies/listen music on them.

    I own the MR624s and I had the JBLs before that. I took the JBLs back to the store. Great mids/highs but the low end was not enough. The Mackies (in my room) had a little more extension in the low end while the highs still sounded good. It’s all subjective to your ear which is why speaker reviews are tough. I love the build quality on the Mackies.

    I know one can't judge a speaker's audio in an untreated room, recorded via a microphone. Too many variables. But to me, the JBL sounded slightly more dynamic.

      Yeah, they are, just so ever slightly, good to see you around too 🙂 Hope you're well !!

    Just upgraded to the JBL 306p mk2 from the edifier 1700bts. The JBL bass had got me. It sounds fairly detailed but not fatiguing in the highs.

    Is Mackie suitable for listening to music and movies? Was looking for a bookshelf but MR524 caught my attention

    • @CrossbeatsMusicProduction
      @CrossbeatsMusicProduction  26 дней назад

      Yes, but depending on how much room spqce you have and cables, etc, that are required to reach the speakers, rather than bluetooth, for example. But they could be a good choice for that if you have the budget.

    I own a pair of Edifier s2000mkiii's which I absolutely love -- like, seriously love -- but the thing that keeps intriguing me about the Mackie's is their apparent facility for low volumes. I like a low volume listening session, with "hotel bar jazz" (like Oscar Pederson, Cyrus Chestnut, Beegie Adair) and at least some listening off-axis.
    Thoughts?

      I've listened to your edifiers before, what i feel is the difference is the low end, at low volumes, the mackies have a way of making it sound like they have the same amount of lows at any volume. Where I feel you loose is in the low mids, but not many speakers can do everything. Unless you're looking at 10k range like ATC SCM25A Mk2 6.5-inch 3-way

    I believe the Mackie Speakers sound a bit better. I plan to get the Mackie Speakers. Thanks for sharing this video! :)

    I do prefer the Mackies, more natural less boxy sound, better bass control.
    Thx for the video, no many available for the mr624

    Hello. I have 2 questions for JBLs. 1. People who have them complain that they have very annoying background noise, is that true, or are they silent? 2. Does glossy piano black scratch easily? Thank you.

    • @CrossbeatsMusicProduction
      @CrossbeatsMusicProduction  8 месяцев назад

      As far as the noise, every monitor is going to have some noise in this price bracket, even if its just barely audible, is it annoying.. No, not unless you have your ear against the monitor. "For scratching" once you place them down I cant imagine them being scratched, if you have to move them around lots, yeah I guess its possible.

      If you get the type of noise you're talking about, its a setup issue. Any speaker/amp combo can be subject to this type of noise regardless of price or quality. The cause isn't exactly the same in each situation, so in order to deal with these issues, you need to have a better understanding of how the equipment works. Once you know how it all works, you'll be able to deal with anything.
      To start with, you need to know the difference between gain and volume. They are very different, and you have to know what to expect when you make changes to either. One issue that stands out is people are always referring to knob positions time. For example, "Set the volume to 12:00.". Volume and gain controls are not clocks. Set them where they need to be, not to some reference time reference that is meaningless.
      The other major thing you need to know is the difference between balanced and single ended connections. How they work is important to understand, especially when you are mixing components that are one of the other. The 2 modes of operation are not compatible, so when you mix them, steps have to be taken to make them work together. With this issue everyone always talks about the cables. "Should I get balanced or unbalanced cables?". The type of cables you need are based on the 2 components you are trying to connect. Using a balanced cable won't make a balanced connection. Both components need to be able to handle a balanced signal, as well as the cable. If all the requirements are not met, the connection defaults to single ended, and your balanced cable is transmitting unbalanced information.
      If you take the time to learn the above, you should be able to deal with almost 100% of whatever you come across. The only warning I would give you is to use really good references. If you just ask people that think they know, you will get a different answer from every one of them.

      Im sure you'd be happy with either option. I haven’t heard the lp6s in real life, but I have only heard good things about them.

      @emanuelwhitehead6039 not so much the drivers, just sometimes where the interface disconnects. Not sure its not due to usb connection, though.

      I still own them. I just left them back in Australia. I would never sell them as they are great monitors. If you own them or are looking at buying them, just understand the purpose they serve 🙂
