Hats-Off to you Bobby for doing such an impromptu video of comparing both, the ALL NEW and Old HONDA CR-V. Besides, the weather looks roasting out there!
Bobby good review as always.. Sweating like hell though.. Hope you can do full review... Not to forget to test the new sportage 2.0crdi and tucson 1.6 turbo ya
Great job Bobby, so far the most detailed video of the all new CRV. So you have driven both CRV, may I know is the both variants dashboard meter are the same?
Cannot really understand Honda Malaysia... the interior design and layout is available across the RUclips from the USA model... why would they want to block it.... silly 😁
Tiguan cannot compare to CRV in terms of space. Not that the Tiguan isn't practical, the CRV is just too big, maybe because it was designed for 7-seater at the first place, you take two seats out - HUGE. In terms of handling, it may be very unfair to assume now as I only had a very short drive of the CRV, but still, the way the Tiguan handles is even better than the Civic, so its fair to assume the CRV wont come close in terms of handling. At the end, it's like comparing a Passat and an Accord - the Passat can never challenge the Accord on space. And given that Honda is known for their interior packaging magic, they always somehow seems to be able to find way more space in their cars than anybody else. The Passat on the other hand, handles so well, rides so comfortably - just like the Tiguan. So if you enjoy spirited driving, you frequently drive fast, then the Tiguan is unbeatable here. But the CRV has more power, it's rather quick too.
imagine when u use the adaptive cruise control and our infamous mat rempit swerve in and out in front of the car. will it apply emergency brake? vomit food...
The glory days of Japanese rice boxes are long gone now.. Make a red carpets to new gen Korean thunders with N models to release world wide around 4th quarter this year. Once you test drive the Hyundai i30 N model, then you will know what I mean by Japanese pocket rockets are a joke...
Honda sensing is nice feature, but Honda Indonesia is too greedy to bring that feature here, it has been cut to gain their profit, even for the crv prestige.
Petrol version will have gear lever and what you seen from Thai's CRV the buttonized gear is meant for the turbodiesel and they are bloody ZF-sourced !
I noticed the video has greyish tint randomly changing the video color from nice to bad couple of times. Take note on the example at minute 17:00 & 17:01.
The Honda Sensing, or Subaru's Eyesight, or Volvo's etc .... they all do this: At city areas, their main function is to detect other vehicles and pedestrians and apply braking when needed. Volvo went one step further in the XC60 to calculate the trajectory and veer the steering to avoid a collision. As most poorly maintained roads are those of the city's, it doesn't affect much. Road markers on the other hand, is only important for lane departure and steering assist. This main serves to help drivers relax on the highway for long distance drives. Most highway roads are clearly marked, thus it should work as designed.
+Feng Huai Tay Honda did considered this. At the end, their surveys show that most never used the third row. In the end they rather have the more spacious 5 seater version and pivk those super convenience features such as the semi autonomous system
well they should have make the 7 seater as an option rather than omitting it completely. Keep consumers happy with such option and HM able to control the features.
Right.. I kinda think that it's cooler if car manufacturers start putting on blinking DRLs on premium cars tho. Some supercars and superbikes have them.
Well forget it. U r just Honda not Tesla or Bentley. Hate how they marketing i the shell only on 4 wheels. Loss my business. Good luck to those who wait.
Good job Bobby, your review is 1of the most detail so far👏👏👏👏
Thanks :)
Hats-Off to you Bobby for doing such an impromptu video of comparing both, the ALL NEW and Old HONDA CR-V. Besides, the weather looks roasting out there!

I can't wait to see how will the new CR-V compares with the new Mazda CX-5 (when it finally be made available...).
Cannot really understand Honda Malaysia... the interior design and layout is available across the RUclips from the USA model... why would they want to block it.... silly 😁

Really need your valuable input on this Bobby please, torn between these two
Justin Ngai go for this crv
Justin Ngai Hi bro.. which one did you eventually decided to get? Same scenario here. can't decide between tiguan and cr-v.
Thanks for this mate, more informative compared to Paultan.
Will it detects Kancil as a proper car and stop on time on that adaptive cruise control? Or even motorbike suddenly coming in-between the car?
If CRV compare to Tiguan, which one you choose?
hi bobby, what you think between tiguan and new crv?which one is better

awd?4wd? or 2wd... does this affect the grip and safety?
Honda sensing is nice feature, but Honda Indonesia is too greedy to bring that feature here, it has been cut to gain their profit, even for the crv prestige.
i see the interior in some othervideo is awesome
is that Mr @Kenneth chiew the professional test driver besides you, Bobby?
Now waiting patiently for Toyota to bring in Safety Sense P into Malaysia.
I would like to know if our Malaysia's version has the gear lever or without?
Petrol version will have gear lever and what you seen from Thai's CRV the buttonized gear is meant for the turbodiesel and they are bloody ZF-sourced !
Francis Ho. We don't have the diesel version here.

I noticed the video has greyish tint randomly changing the video color from nice to bad couple of times. Take note on the example at minute 17:00 & 17:01.
to some of driver, CVT is a killer for their infamous whinning character by nature. How does this new CRV perform? or it still your spirit away?

will they have a 7 seater version?
Feng Huai Tay only 5 seater for malaysia
Ehsan Sulong how unfortunate... we were really hoping they will bring in the 7seater.
+Feng Huai Tay Honda did considered this. At the end, their surveys show that most never used the third row. In the end they rather have the more spacious 5 seater version and pivk those super convenience features such as the semi autonomous system

+amirul zamir it happens when we are videoing due to frane rates
Right.. I kinda think that it's cooler if car manufacturers start putting on blinking DRLs on premium cars tho. Some supercars and superbikes have them.
