That's a great idea, blow nitrogen through afterwards......I have new condensing unit that I install that has a restriction at the indoor piston and I'm almost sure that it was from the spinning swage....thanks for all of the videos....hvac on...
Could the txv outdoor cause the unit to pump right down both in heating AND cooling? Having problems with a trane unit for one of my calls and I’m at a loss
My brother. On a split system heat pump my cool side is on point but on heat cycle with in 15 sec my head pressure rises over 575 psi on high and low side. Does this mean it’s the outside txv?
I’m a maintenance supervisor at a complex with all new rheem heat pumps. And I am ALWAYS having TXV issues. Had one today worked fine in cool. Pumped down and started pulling in a vacuum in heat.

No not typically. I would check the reversing valve or a major restriction in the line set. Also, make sure your service valves are open
