@@notimportant3033 I plan to upload a variety of covers, remakes of songs I like, etc in the future. This is just something that I made months ago and didn't really need any work to be uploaded to youtube. Another street fighter track I'll probably remake at some point would be brave or grave from SFA3, as I have fond memories of it.
@@LofiAlienMusic I started with a MIDI I found of Guile's Theme and edited it by ear to match the original. Every other bit of the production was my work.
@@Vancityplayboy if I get back into it, maybe. It's been a long time since I made this, and most of my time has been spent working for the last year and a half.
@@randomsupergodzillalizardd9981 I apologize if the title is confusing, this is specifically a cover of the CPS-2 version of Guile's Theme. When I made it, I compared the different versions, and this is the one I felt sounded the best.
My focus was initially on the bass part of the song, and the one I used was only in the CPS2 version of Guile's Theme. The SNES, Genesis, and CPS1 all have different bass parts, none of which I felt were as nice as the CPS2 version.
I believe the pitch of my version is slightly off from the CPS2 version, which was likely a stylistic choice. It has been a while since I worked on it.
@@randomsupergodzillalizardd9981 Well I do agree that the CPS2 version is the best version of the theme. The CPS1 composition is lacking, and the CPS2 had better sound capabilities. The SNES and Genesis versions just aren't the same.

Guile's theme goes with everything
It was Kens theme first.
Real
This is literally the best version of this song I've ever heard great work
@@claytonwallen2195 appreciate it
I agree! Great job bro!
This is the most faithful remake I've heard.
there is technically one incorrect note in the bassline because I didn't like the way it sounded
@@screaminego Still, I like the way you arranged it. I'd love to see you make more tracks like this.

I'm a big fan of Balrog's theme 😅 would love to hear your version one day too.
What program did you use for the bouncing eq?
@@one7decimal2eight pretty sure I used fabfilter plugins for most of the effects
Way better than the original
@@Vancityplayboy Would not exist without the original
@@screaminego of course, I just naturally like it better than the original
SSF2 already has a CPS-2 version, and it’s much better than the CPS-1 version. (The CPS-1 tracks are mid IMO)
