  • With the development of the new AI tools in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, it has changed the direction of my workflow and also it has changed the way that I think about how I take my photographs. In this video, I look at how these new tools can be used to improve my outputs and help with the more difficult elements of editing. I will demonstrate the Denoise function and more advanced usage of the Remove Tool and Generative Fill tools, and then convert the image into one of my classic Day-To-Night.
    If you wish to follow along, you can find the RAW image here:- drive.google.c...
    If you enjoy this video I would love a 'like' and if you like what I am doing here on RUclips, it would be great for you to subscribe and join this adventure :-) but more importantly, I love to receive your comments and questions !

      Personally, I prefer to use my MacBook touchpad for my editing, I did do this video with a mouse and generally, I am happy to use a mouse, but the MacBook touchpads are very impressive, particularly once you understand how they work, little things like small movements can be achieved by rolling your finger on the spot 🙂

    Well who knew that LRc does.nt auto save? That's three hours I am never going to get back. Still, I need the practice being a noob with LR and PS. Cant get sky replacement to work in Ps Beta, either drops new sky across most of the image or on the sky but in a small square about 10 times too small. Works OK in the main version of PS so have a workaround. Nice video Jamie thank you.

    • @jamiermathlin
      @jamiermathlin  Год назад

      thank you for the comment, just wanted to check what computer and operating system you are using ? as LRc autosave on my Mac ? If you are running on windows XP or earlier this will be a problem, plus windows does have a tendency to freeze or fall over, so it can be useful to switch between another image to the one you are working on often in the film strip, that way it will save it, hope this helps.

      @@jamiermathlin Thanks for the reply. I am using a M1 Macbook Pro. No idea what I did, or what happened, the photo just disappeared, searched everywhere hoping it had been saved but cant find it. I have since checked a box within Catalogue Settings 'Automatically write changes into XMP' which may have solved the problem. Walked my town taking photos with my phone and could not find any what I would call 'scenic' locations which also had wall/street lamps, at least not ones that look the part. Are they essential in your opinion to really make an interesting day to night photo? Thanks.
