I had the honor of meeting Ariel at a show last Friday in Providence, RI at the Fete Music Hall after seeing MXMS perform live. Their music is incredible and their live show was captivating and haunting. Ariel was SO nice and so gracious! I'm So glad I was there that night to discover these guys. I'm a HUGE fan and wish them nothing but success!!
Beautiful music accompanied by excellent monochrome videography. A masterpiece in my opinion. Wish there was more beautiful video stories such as this.
I saw this band at Mill City Nights last Thursday. Wow. This song is awesome, and their other songs were very good too. Can't wait to see how much this band blows up.
Just recently remembered seeing MXMS on tour with Combichrist/Birthday Massacre in Pomona. I loved how they came on to the stage and the audience barely noticed then was immediately captivated once the music began.
This is gonna sound strange but I really like how she says "oh my God". It sounds so authentic and strained with disbelief and something mixed with extremely somber disappointment and incredulity. It kinda reminds me of how my mother said it when she saw 9/11 happen on the TV and I was just waking up for school and though I didn't understand what happened, I understood from her expression and intonation it was something abhorrent.
I just recently saw them in Arizona with William Control. They have some real talent I was no expecting that. I'd rather hear this than all the radio songs lately. This is what's called real talent.
