This is a true story, the first time I went to Tasmania (my favourite place in Oz) we stayed at a B&B for $3 a night including breakfast which was just bubble and squeak but delicious.
This story obviously shows my age.
The last time I went (from Sydney) was via the Spirit of Tasmania, just a fantastic experience, sadly no longer available,
Don’t underestimate a good bubble and squeak! I’d be more than happy with that for breakfast! Yep, it’s been a while since they tried doing a ferry from Sydney!

It’s certainly a great holiday destination & from what I’ve seen on various travel channels, there are more and more tourist oriented businesses all over the state
I can remember 5 for 1 cent lollies and free milk at the Tuckshop. And Free Sauce

Love Bubble n Squeak, any time of the day. I think you are right Cheeky, they don't look like they are short of a quid. At my age , anything cooked by someone else looks yummy. Maybe not fresh oysters, a well killed kilpatrick I can handle, just. Love honey prawns.
Yeah, I can’t stand fresh oysters, but kilpatrick is nice! Prawns or scallops done any way is a winner for me - definitely one thing I miss about Tassie is the curry scallop pies!
