Orange slice is nice but Tim Tams get in the way
😂Maybe they need to make orange slice Tim Tams!!
I think the movable backrests are Sydney specific. They don't have them on Qld Rail. When I went overseas I took a small portable torch to use at night. You could attach it to a keyring. Most showerheads are adjustable. They only thing I have to watch is that the water doesn't spray the taps because the seals are not water tight. You're more likely to bring spiders in on washing hung out to dry. Most people just shake the clothes. Flyscreens are great. In Thailand I would examine the room for mosquito nets or screened windows and doors. If they lacked these basic protections there were always other hotels to stay. With carpets if you have pets they tend to get fleas within the carpet, so tiles or lino are better. Be thankful you didn't live in Busan in South Korea and have to catch the beetle to Hakata in Japan. I frequently visited Japan on visa runs or travel and was always confused about which country I was in, so I had to be extra careful. The only birds I saw in Portugal were storks, pigeons and seagulls. Yep, the crows are annoying. They don't call them a murder of crows for nothing. Never saw any ibis in Egypt, even though they use to be common there.
I rented a place many many years ago & there were fleas in the carpet when we moved in!! So not good!
judging by the spaller marks on her face im wondering if she's been throwing rocks into a full long drop dunny lol, pesonally i like to have a brief convo with who ever in interacting with, i usually try to make them laugh, i get nothing more from the interaction except for the pleasure i get from making people smile or even laugh eg "do you have "fly buys" ? " , "No" i say, " i dont need to buy any flies, they seem to be naturally attracted to me" sometimes i wonder about these Europeans, i cant understand how they managed to live in their tiny crowded countries, cant turn on a light, cant have a shower,
I didn’t want to comment on those marks on her face in my video, but yeah…. I’m the same, I like to have a proper interaction with people who serve me!!
I like this Portuguese chick and see her like the Canadian chick on the Gold Coast; both in their 20's at time of their video. The reversable train sets are cool but city specific, only in Sydney in our case. Not in Melbourne unfortunately. Funny how the Portuguese turn on/off their light switches with their elbows 😆😆 maybe just her. She has a great point about the showerheads, but yeah it is an old shower. Lisbon similar latitude to Melbourne, so yeah Spain & Portugal have similar climate to Melbourne and Sydney. I can well understand international visitors really noticing our birds, constantly hearing them when they are not used to it, then after seeing them becoming fascinated with them - I would too if in that position.
Thanks for clarifying about Melbourne trains, I thought I was just being super unobservant! I thought that the climates would have been fairly similar, thanks for confirming that! I’m too short to use my elbows to turn the light switches on or off in my house!
@@CheekyKoala Actually Portugal has a Mediterranean climate and is more like Perth and Adelaide. It was plus 40c when I was there in August 2013, Very hot and very dry. But their winters are cold and wet like Melbourne.
@ thanks for clarifying that! I originally thought Mediterranean, but then questioned if I was right 🤷♀️
One of the local servos here has a young Muslim woman who is a uni student who works shifts. She wears the head coverings and traditional clothing with only her face showing. I remember the first time she served me I was looking around for hidden cameras trying to prank. As I approached the counter she gave an ear to ear grin and in a Middle Eastern accent trying to sound Aussie she greeted "Aye ouw ya goin mate! Ouws yar day bin!" When I answered "the good yourself?" Her reply was "Agh bludy shitter of a day, bludy car shit itself so I bludy had to walk here.Agh well shit happen aye". She's still there today and sounding even more Aussie. With the light switches, I've never thought about it but it is a valid point, to me anyway. Plenty of times I've had both hands full carrying something trying to get my finger to the switch and I've bodgied a few switches so I can turn it on or off with my elbow.
It’s classic when you see these young Muslim women that you expect to be super conservative & then they speak & you realise that they’re not 😂 I can see the benefits of big light switches, but I’ve never been bothered by the size of the ones here, that said, I have the old fashioned ones here in my house that stick out & they’re certainly more convenient…
@CheekyKoala The last farm house I lived in was a large stone homestead built in late 1800's from limestone collected from newly cleared paddocks back in the day. Would have been a grand old homestead back then with a bullnose veranda right around. Typical 100foot high decorated ceilings and the two main bedrooms off the hallway still had the string from the ceiling as on off for the lights. Because it was basically the start of the desert summer temperature rarely got below 30 day or night. Had 16 days straight of 40° or over, hottest I recorded at the front gate was 53° but that was the limit, not meant to get that hot. Drifting off a bit, but that bloody old stone house was hotter than an oven during summer. And it had string for the lights if I didn't already mention that.
@ my back room still has a string for the light!! Ugh!! I was exhausted from our heatwave last week, when temperatures were above 35 for 3 days in a row, I’d hate to have to cope with even hotter temperatures!
The train seats are mainly Sydney, not sure about Qld. That shower would have been a cheap Airbnb or rental. The Portuguese are big into tiles, very dry and dusty place.
Thanks! I’m pretty certain that Melbourne train seats don’t move like that 🤷♀️ I thought that Portugal must have been more dry & dusty than Australia
ya this too.... kenneth branagh is a good friend of chris hemsworth, he is like hemsworth's mentor and advisor with his career.... kenneth was the one who cast him as thor, as he was the director of the first "thor" movie.....

One of these days somebody, somewhere, is going to take legal action against RUclips for a complete lack of duty of care. This hypothetical vlogger will get three (UNFAIR) strikes and take RUclips to court. Then they will be forced to take action against this Latinautorperf parasite. And pay court costs.
I’m actually about ready to start contacting class action lawyers! There’s obviously no money in it for me, because my channel is too small, but if RUclips won’t stop this guy, I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that he is stopped! If I don’t count the video that I had to remove, I currently have 6(!!!) copyright disputes on the go with this guy!
truth is best , good on ya Cheeky Koala

Play by the rules, but play by the rules they set. Sounds like he knows how far he can push to stay within the boundaries if he's been doing it this long and regular to still be doing it. Really only put that in to help out to make more comments. Good luck.
Thank you (& wow, your comment is actually visible this time!!)🤷♀️
Yeah this sounds like Wire Fraud, FBI may be able help and get YT to take some positive action.
Fingers crossed 🤞
@@CheekyKoala The reply from YT could have been written by the team at Workingdog, it was so laughable.
@@continental_drift Or A.I.
Where is the justice that legitimate vloggers get 3 strikes & theyre out, but the bogus claimers can make false claims 300 times or more with total impunity and zero repercussions. Yet...
Precisely!! I’m so utterly annoyed, right now, with this whole situation!
"I Still Call Australia Home" is a song written by Peter Allen in 1980. An Australian who released on A & M records in 1980. So how can this idjit claim copyright? But be careful. Other people have disputed copyright claims by this 🤡 and had been successful, but he is vindictive and sent them nuisance spam and emails as payback. And made further bogus claims.
What I have heard of RUclipss copy right procedures is they are crap, they do little to no due diligence relying solely on the the person making the claim to be telling the truth.
Yep!! That pretty much sums it up!
I was the same with the time differences of different countries, and not just trying to get my head-around it, but more of it doing my head-in, trying to comprehend with talking to different international chat with different people from different sides of the world, at different times..... until I saw years ago the live streaming coverage of new years 12 o'clock am fireworks, for 24 hrs with friends and people I knew living from asia. europe and america using skype, viber or whatsapp.... I was first with sydney, and then a friend was last from wyoming which was day behind 6am..... anyhows did it for just that year, like new year came and went 17 hrs ago for me, and my first day of the year is nearly over, and yet a friend was still waiting for theirs..... the idea came from a person I know (who was working for national geographics and also with greenpeace, who also did the mt everest but did not climb, but hangout in base camps) who stayed up 24 hrs celebrating new years with his different friends across the globe online, as his friends did the same.... so hence why australia is the country in the future literally....
Yep!! Although New Zealand is even further ahead….😂
@@CheekyKoala but NZ is stuck in a time loop, hence why most of them have to portal into aus to get better time future....
We all fell in love with Tia so hard.
She’s just wonderful!! (They both are!)
@CheekyKoala But Cheveyo doesn't like Big Things 🤣
Jimbo dingo. That's my little mate dingoes name. When he was found by the blackfellas in the middle of nowhere after his parents were shot they named him Jim Jim. And cows, I'm the same. I remember as a kid my mate's laughing at me because I wouldn't get down from a tree because there were a few cows in the paddock. I've seen plenty of wallaroos, because they are blackish they are often mistaken at first as a black panther. No idea why if you see one.
Jimbo Dingo!! I love that name!! I’ve never seen a wallaroo, but now that’s on my bucket list!!
Lots of stirring and porky pies here. Just sending Jimmy down the wrong path as Americans will believe anything they’re told. Of course, they see the boxing kangaroo clips and think they’re all aggressive. The truth is in most cases it’s self preservation. The most notable is when the farmer punches the roo after so called attacking his dog. The real situation was the opposite. The dogs were hunting feral animals and they started harassing the poor roo who just tried to hold the dog down. Then of course the farmer protected the dog and the fight begun. The usual sensationalist stuff floating around about those dangerous animals just scares the living the daylights of prospective tourists especially those in the US who are blissfully unaware of the rest of the world. Blame their education system for that. Let’s face it. It was Live Aid in the mid 80’s in England (for famine relief) but We are the World in the US. Says something…
Yes! These you are so spot on!!
Years ago I went back to the UK after living in Australia. This young guy in an office in London wanted me to call him sir. I said not unless you’ve been to the palace and been knighted. He said you have been in Australia to long (8 years) I said to right mate. True story.
The class system is still strongly entrenched in the UK. Australians are more egalitarian and downright irreverent at times! Welcome to the non exclusive club!
😂😂
Yep 😂😂
what's chicken salt
It’s a salt that is used here in Australia. It was originally created by a butcher (I think) for putting on chickens for roasting. It’s kind of like onion salt, but with extra spices added (possibly garlic also…)
❤😊❤
💜💜
Love a children's choir, i was in one, thats a hard song too ❤
There’s more to come! Yes Mrs Filby saw no limits in what songs we would do, and somehow we always rose to the challenge! She did work the choir very hard. This was a huge part of my life for 10 years as a child & teen. I missed out on a lot of regular kid stuff because of the amount of time that we spent rehearsing, recording, performing & touring! (That said, when I was in the choir, it was so highly regarded that if you were a chorister, you were automatically considered a minor celebrity, so it was always a good excuse, when I was in high school, for late assignments 😂😂)
I don't think tram drivers are being offhanded, there is a sign on their door that says "the driver will help you when the tram has stopped" They can't take their eyes off the road when the tram is in motion. I've seen plenty of passengers asking for information from the driver and they are always helpful. Drivers do appreciate it whe passengers disembark and say "thank you'" Their is one driver who is a non stop talker, Bruce Whalley. He used to on Think Tank on the ABC. He also has his own Instagram account. Love your videos, following TrudyandEddtravel, so unusual to have someone with positive views on Melbourne.
Just a quick comment, have to watch in two parts because data is about to become extinct until I get to the servo. In my ute. Love my utes, first one was a 1966 HR Holden which I wrote off, (p plater) then a few early Kingseoods and the last of the proper utes, WB Holden. Later had a wannabe ute, an XE Falcon but just didn't cut it. Then a few commodore utes, the last one 2004 VZ was stolen two years ago. Now I'm driving a 2001 Holden Rodeo V6 tray top duel cab for the dogs in the back. The old girl wants to jump out at every dog we pass so she can't be in the back back or she'd strangle herself. Had over 300,000 when I got it and I've clocked almost an extra 12,000 in two years and she still starts runs and idles like they day she was driven out of the factory in Thailand or wherever they were thrown together. Mine must have been the one in a million that was actually inspected before loading onto the truck to the ship. But yeh, short story long, love my utes. P.S. I always use cash, I know what I have, what I can and can't spend and don't run the risk of going into debit and costing me $18. And never once had a credit card, never need one and don't like to idea of paying for something after it's gone or I decided was goid at the time while I was drunk. What I saved in interest can buy more beer and something else that I think is good at the time.
Seems that Holdens far outstripped fords 😂😂 I had a falcon wagon for a few years. First engine shat itself, second engine had a moving crankshaft so that I always had to carry a spare fanbelt & had to replace the thing every 6-8 weeks because of how quickly it would wear out. I was told that eventually the crankshaft would probably end up going through the firewall! Didn’t end up keeping that clunker 😂😂
@CheekyKoala I drove an XE Falcon wagon that had been sunk at a boat ramp Nd had so much rust I had to tape the roof down above the windscreen because it flapped and blew out the roof lining and landed over my face driving back from the wreckers I bought it from for $70. I had a 120Y but was going over to SA for work and the Dato wouldn't tow the trailer with my two motorbikes so needed a chugger to get me there. I had to silicone the radiator every petrol stop, had no wipers so of course it rained and I drove with one arm out the window manually using the one wiper by hand. It had no brakes so every braking for the next 1200k's was by pulling the handbrake and dropping from Drive to lowest. But the worst thing was the massive hole in the floor under my feet that had a bit of ply over it or both feet would go through. I could handle that, but having a hole in the floor under you at night is bloody freezing.
@CheekyKoala By the way, the Falcon made it all the way and didn't miss a beat. Cops defected it in Adelaide but. So I bought another Kingswood ute after that.
In NSW back in the late 70s as garages were transitioning to full self serve a few tried the pay for air thing, it failed, people just refused to use those garages. I notice that BigW at least are doubling down on self serve check outs which I will not use.
It’s so frustrating that Big W, Target & KMart have so few old style check outs these days!!
On melbourne Trams if the tram stop is not on the left youll get an announcement over the PA so say its on the right side of the tram.
Cool! Good to know! I’ve not been on many trams since moving to Victoria & each time have been with my sister, who’s lived in Victoria for over 20 years, so I just followed her & pretended that I knew what I was doing 😂😂
Oh and shocked about paying for air in tyres!
Yes! That was a major shock!!
@CheekyKoala so the shocking title is valid ha ha

@@CheekyKoalawe love our dog and vinegar 😂
😂😂 it’s been years since I’ve had vinegar on chips, but now I want to see if I can find any malt vinegar at the supermarket for the next time I do chips in the air fryer!! I wonder if it would still taste good with chicken salt instead of regular salt…..
Sounds like you were shocked about the bus culture!
I was! I realise that having originally lived in what is considered the friendliest state in Australia (Tassie), that there are probably a lot of things that I take for granted that are the norm (I still raise my hand to acknowledge the people on stop signs at roadworks here in Victoria & if they even notice it, for the most part they tend to look at me quizzically), but I guess it’s just so ingrained in me that you greet the driver as you get on & off the bus & that you know they will greet you back, I just can’t imagine hopping onto a bus & not having that happen!
@@CheekyKoala If British bus drivers are less friendly than our bus drivers I wouldn't take that as a negative on them. They usually serve denser cities, far higher patronage, higher patronage turnover, customer travelling shorter distances, wetter and narrower roads, driving double decker buses and everyone rushing around. For contrast, even if Australian bus drivers are friendlier, usually our bus network isn't that good, far less patronage esp. if trains available, it would take me half an hour bus to the nearest station I could drive there in ten minutes, lower patronage turnover and customers travelling longer distances in a less dense and spread out city.
they sure sing better than me, lol, i can curdle milk at 20 metres
😂😂 Mrs Filby worked so hard, she was a major perfectionist 😂😂
i used to be in a chior for the deaf in Melbourne, id get out and sing and the deaf people all sat patiently watching those who could hear me, and the look of sheer terror and utter discomfort caused by my efforts at singing made then actually greatfull that they couldnt hear men and so i cheered them up no end
😂😂
Loved it this Kids Choir have fanstatic voices. 😄🦘
Yes, Mrs Filby was able to work magic with this choir! (She also worked our butts off and accepted nothing less than perfection 😂😂)

The problem with gun culture is it’s just embedded in the education system like the rest of the Constitution. Americans are brainwashed from a young age that they have civil rights and anything that takes that away is sacrilegious. The 2nd amendment had real meaning when it was legislated in 1787 in the days of the Wild West. In the mid 19th century Civil war too but in modern times? Firearms are just carried because most others have them. A really sad inditement on the US unfortunately. So many ridiculous cases of civil rights which bewilders Australians but unless someone doesnt grow up in the US they just don’t understand and that’s very hard matter for locals to get their head around.
Spot on! You’ve explained the issue so perfectly!
It seems that the humanities is very different to engineering and the sciences, there are no useless studies in the latter.
I majored in Japanese as part of my undergraduate degree, I wouldn’t consider that as being useless studies 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Never heard the term major in Australia, you simply have subjects associated with the degree you are studying.
Perhaps it depends on which university you attended and which course you chose. At UTas where I completed both my degrees, it was definitely referred to in that way. I am aware of other universities, attended by other members of my family where such terminology is used. Can I ask which state you’re in? Did you attend university? 💜
Oh and the snake looked like a carpet python. Non venomous but their mouth is full of bacteria much like goannas. A bite can turn septic if not properly cleaned & treated with antiseptic.
I think I’ll just stick with my usual policy of giving them plenty of space if I ever encounter one then 😂
For the most part this American vlogger has nailed it. To be honest I don't recall trying American bread. Apparently it's loaded with sugar. To avoid constantly paying 10-15% tips at proper sit down and waiter attended restaurants I mostly stuck with fast food restaurants like Maccas or road side restaurants where the Greyhound bus stopped for 40 minutes or so. I do remember Taco Bell in Colorado was awful. I tried Subway in Bratislava in Slovakia and it was okay. But they dont load the bread with sugar and chemicals. Have never tried emu, croc, 'roo or witchetty grubs. Venison in NZ was okay. Should have tried the moose and elk in Bergen, Norway. They also had whale meat, but as they're endangered I had fish and prawns instead. Coalfax Avenue in Denver Colorado was a rough part of town. I often crossed the street to avoid gangs of zombies high on ice standing around outside MacDonald's. For the first time ever I needed a voucher code to use the rest room. Apparently Maccas wanted to avoid any drug deals in the toilets from non paying customers. That's starting to creep in here in Australia as well. People with mental health problems, drug addictions, and guns are never a good mix. I always felt unsafe in any big city in America and was always looking over my shoulders and was acutely aware of my surroundings at all times.
I thought that their bread must be loaded with sugar if he thought that a finger bun tasted like a hot dog bun, because finger buns are so very sweet!! Yes it’s a little concerning seeing the issues in Australia which are arising as a result of drug use! From looking at the traffic charges against Patrick Stephenson, (Samantha Murphy case), I wouldn’t be surprised if we discover during trial that he was on Molly at the time!! I’ve had venison, it didn’t excite me. I’ve heard that moose is pretty good 🤷♀️
It seems that the Murray River does produce some salt, it is naturally pink salt, the only pink salt in Australia! There is a salt lake at Merbein, near Mildura.
That’s super cool! I only learned that last night after I made this video!
On gun culture in Australia I can still remember the way it was and how at the time it was just accepted without reason. I was raised on a property and my dad was a contract feral pig shooter so it was perfectly normal to walk in the front door and be greeted by 5 or 6 rifles on the gun rack right at the front door. I was taught how to shoot a gun and what to and not to shoot before I was old enough to start school. When we moved to the Gong me and my mates would ride around the street on our minibike with a slug gun slung over our shoulder in case we saw any mynar birds or sparrows. I remember an old couple sitting on their front porch pointing out where they put dog food out for the mynars to make it easier for us to shoot. We got 10 cent for each mynar. Up until 2000 when I was staying in SA on the property I was buying boxes of .22 bullets from Whyalla Chemist. Can't do that now. Haha I picked up my ug boot in the loungeroom on the property but put ut down to change the chanel. A baby brown snake slithered out. One of many everyday snake encounters there, mainly western, king browns and dugites as well as the death adder that nipped me and put me in hospital for a few days.
Also Americans take offence to us joking about school shootings the same as we take offence to them saying a dingo ate my baby.
In my experience, most country kids learn from a young age how to safely use a rifle, you are so right, they are a part of life for many people in the country! That said, we have laws which protect us & mean that you can’t just go out & buy a handgun & keep it in your house or have it in your handbag when you go to the supermarket. I think that the way we view gun ownership here in Australia is very different! Ugh, I wouldn’t be impressed if a baby brown came out of my ugg! I had a friend, many years ago, whose husband was a reptile handler & for a while there he had several baby tiger snakes in a tank in their house, I never felt comfortable being there with them in the same room, even though he assured me that they couldn’t get out!
It is kind of sick joking about school shootings!
@@CheekyKoala Poor tiger snakes have got an undeserved reputation actually. One of my favourite and are really one of the most placid non aggressive species of all our snake species, beside every kids favourite diamond pythons. You really have to force them to actually bite, always will give two or three dummy strikes to say you're a bit too close thanks. Then if you do make one have to reluctantly bite it's usually always a dry bite first without venom again to say last chance. Only a fool gets bit again. Definitely doesn't mean go out and play catch with them, they will bite if you try to hand catch them the wrong way. But all in all a lamb in wolf's clothing.
Lost me after 3min of blah blah blah, just get on with the video already
Thanks for sharing your opinion
I watched another reaction to these two jerkys, I believe they said, by law it has to be 605 beef, so what are you tasting anyway
Ah! Well beef would drown out both flavours wouldn’t it? No wonder they didn’t enjoy it!
I have seen a couple of his vids yeah he OK, I think US citizens are travelling more than they used to, which is a good thing. The last thing you can accuse an American of is having a broad knowledge of the rest of the world.
Yes, I think that he’s more aware than many, you are right about many Americans not having a broad knowledge of the rest of the world!
Arnotts Orange slice biscuites yummy
Definitely!!
Yeah if a finger bun is hotdog consistency then it'd be stale in my opinion. In regards to murray river salted caramel timtams its a mineral rich river where ancient pink salt flakes are createdin the murray river basin. Also can get murray river salted caramel ice cream from connoisseur.
Good point about the finger bun! Wow, well I’ve just learned something new, I had no idea that the Murray was mineral rich, now it all makes sense! Thank you 🩵
@@CheekyKoala Yeah i had no idea either about the Murray being mineral rich. I looked it up because I was curious. No worries
So we’ve both learned something today!!
Another great video
Thank you 💜
