The multiple model variations of this watch make the choice all the more difficult. Hamilton could pay a little bit of attention to "less is more" and do a cull on their catalogue and they would still be just as sought after. I own a Jazzmaster myself, it makes for a great dress watch
I found this the perfect watch for business casual at work. Sports jacket, OBC white shirt, khaki pants - I'm an American style fan, Brooks Brothers, Allen Edmond shoes and a historically American design watch with Swiss engineering - who could ask for more. Thank you Teddy, really enjoy your videos and knowledge.
I've always liked the Hamilton Jazzmaster line. One like this could really prove to be versatile, working with either dress or casual clothing. Like the dial color, love the bracelet.
I pulled the trigger and finally purchased this warch due to a great deal. I have 3 other hamiltons and love them all. I wore this watch with a suit and got 3 compliments from people at a formal event. This included somebody wearing a rollex.
My first Swiss watch is one of these in Black. Couldn't get a Sarb 033, when I opened the box, I didn't think I missed out! Wearing it as I watch this. Love that dial!
Not a big dress watch fan but maybe that’s why I like this one. Something about this color really says ‘classic and sophisticated’ to me. Great price, especially with the 80 hour power reserve.
I like the "combination" of classic/casual style. I'm in need of a dress watch and love automatics. I'm just a bit hesitant about dropping a ton of money I won't be wearing more than a few times a year. With this watch, the 'wearability' is enhanced.
I own 3 Hamiltons currently and gave away a 4th to a friend. Love them and have always been tempted to get a Hamilton dress watch, but settled for something a bit more high end. All that being said... without sounding cliche (probably not even the right term), I think the Mido Baroncelli is pretty hard to beat as a dress watch at this price point. Don’t own a Mido, probably never will, but if I were to start all over, that would probably make my list.
The design of this watch has clearly had some thought put into it. The case with the brushed lugs along the side gives way to the polished sides of the case with a look that the lugs have been attached to the case rather than cast as one. The dial design with the second markers sitting on the chapter ring in a totally different finish to the main dial but with the hour markers crossing both. That champagne sunburst is the icing on the cake for this version. The wrist view also shows that the lugs drop around the wrist so I'd guess the measured lug to lug may feel smaller on the wrist than the figures suggest I really like it.
They do. They have a 34mm (42mm lug to lug) classified as a "women's" watch. There is nothing femine about it, just a smaller version, not identical of course. I have a medium sized wrist and that size is perfect, IMHO.
Wow, that's an interesting take.. Have you ever owned an 80 hr power reserve? I was surprised how appealing the extra reserve has made my Tissot Seastar long term, especially with a number of others I wear... I'll look in the watch box and be like, Awesome! That thing is on time and day and still going! Unexpected! But an interesting take to hear, anyway.. I dig your post!
@@yoinkhaha Excluding quartz movements (kidding!!!) I have not owned anything beyond 40 hours. I do know me and with the variety of watches I do have (w/o being too specific let's say well beyond 8 watches), however, 40 or 80 or 120 hours of power reserve wouldn't matter because of watch rotation and length I typically wear them (2-5 days). Yeah, I'm the type who loves Grand Seiko spring drive and Bulova Precisionist.
Good lookin' watch! I dig the chapter ring with the busy thirds of seconds. However, the bracelet is meh.. especially the transition to the case on those endlinks, looks "afterthought-ish." I'm glad you mentioned the Sinn finelink, which I have handled and it is indeed awesome. Also I feel like the bracelet might be bumping up the price, which seems just a tad high. I'd prefer to see this on leather I think.. or if bracelet then maybe oyster..
Nice piece, good episode. I like that You mentioned the bracelet as it takes more real estate on the wrist than the watch itself but is often disregarded. Good looking but lightweight steel bracelet = success recipe.
Another good looking watch is the Hamilton Broadway 42mm with Blue/Red dial. The sort of watch that can be used in both dressy and casual situations. The 80 hour power reserve makes these watches even more appealing.
what would be the best first luxury wistwatch- breitling superocean 2, breitling superocean heritage, or the omega seamaster 300 automatic (older model) 😎👍
You know even Teddy is tired of Hamilton’s constant/stupid lug to lug dimensions when he introduces the size as “reasonable”. I just wish more of their line up was 44-48mm L2L.
I used to own a Jazzmaster Viewmatic which, stylistically, is one of my favorite designs ever. However, it was nearly 50mm lug to lug so it never looked correctly proportioned on my 6.7 in wrist. I guess they can't satisfy every wrist size
The Hamilton Jazzmaster line seems to have something classy for just about anyone. On Will's wrist, can't tell if he's about to sign a contract, or step on-stage with a jazz quartet... we may never know...
I own this watch for a while now and even if its very comfortable to wear, i have to say the dial and the hands have ZERO contrast...reading the time is horrible...
Tried buying my first Jazzmaster form your site, but just to ship out unit was 5-7 business days. Sadly, had to reach out to customer service to cancel as it would not arrive in time for important date I bought it for.
Another great video with nice macro shots! If I had only one complaint, it would be this: As of recently, your videos include wrist shots of an arm / wrist which I find rather unattractive (too big, too undefined, too red). Perhaps somebody else could lend you his wrist for your videos? In any case keep up your great work!
The dial Appears almost champagne on this one. In need of a dress watch and then considering this one for a while. Thanks for the video Teddy!

They still cannot outdo Omega in quantity of styles....
@@RolexTimexHamilton is owned by Swatch, who owns Omega. They are all really swatch watches bottom line.
@@tyarnold4088 there's really no reason to buy any Swatch group automatic watch that costs more than a Tissot

I have owned a Hamilton jazzmaster slim 43 for ten years,is still working brilliantly (without a service)... classical looks never go out of style ...
This model gives me the Longines Conquest new version vibes. Very similar looking with the sunburst dial.

I really like this watch. My khaki field Auto is a fantastic and reasonably priced watch. I think a jazz master will be following me home soon 😁
Finaly the first review of new hamilton jazzmaster auto😍😍 this watch also has a nivachron balance spring please review mido baroncelli

Reduce the power reserve to 40hrs and give me the smoother second hand sweep of 4Hz. Other than that it looks great 👍🏽

Amen !
40 hr reserve lose a lot of buyers, that need weekend proof (put it on the table friday and pick up monday)
That's a beautiful dial
Beauty in simplicity.

Gorgeous watch & dial.
Such a beautiful piece!
I have the GMT/World time version. Amazing quality for the price. The Jazzmaster line is incredibly underrated.
what would be the best first luxury wistwatch- breitling superocean 2, breitling superocean heritage, or the omega seamaster 300 automatic (older model) 😎👍
Even if it’s not the best choice of the 3, I’d go with the sea master cuz I’m an Omega fanboy.
Phenomenal Watch!!
This just moved to the top of my list.
I'm thinking about purchasing this watch. I understand it is a dress watch but is it appropriate to where it with casual clothing?
How is the legibility of the dial
If it was 38mm it would be my choice for daily watch. It’s incredibly elegant and yet sporty.
I have the intra-matic 38mm and I actually think I like it more than this one. It's thinner with a nicer movement and the bracelet is prettier too.
Please review more watch from Raymond Weil. Id like your opinion on the Freelancer Divers
Please review the new 2022 jazzmaster open heart with gradient dials! 🙏
Is there any magnetic resistance in H-10 and also H-40 calibers? Can’t find it anywhere
I have that watch with a black dial, the bracelet is definitely substantial. I hardly ever wear it but it is very nice.
Sweet piece
Like the brand. I wish they’d lose the chapter ring/minute track and take the dial to edge.
this jazzmaster reminds me of hamilton ricoh electric watch. Very tough to find them
Is the movement better than powermatic 80?
If they upped the water resistance to 10 bar it would be a good poor man's Aqua Terra.
Agreed. All watches should have a minimum of 100 meters of water resistence. Just make it a standard.
A simple elegant dress watch.
Does this movement have the silicon balance spring?
Nice!

Bud, Hamilton was very well known for their dress watches during the midcentury…. This is harkening back to their heritage.
It's beautiful!
wassup teddy!!! 😎✌️
What's up man! Thanks for watching as always!

Watch is good looking, nice review, thanks Teddy.
nice commercial Teddy
Could you please add the reference number in the description when you review a watch?
TBH I'm somewhat surprised that this watch wasn't designed with jazz hands.
. . . Okay, I'll see myself out.
this watch has the same movement in my £500 Hamilton khaki king

Like it.. for $600
Could you please talk a little faster. I think I may have actually deciphered a word or two in there.
I dunno. That’s the most ‘grandpa’ watch I’ve seen in a while. 😣 nice build, but…
You should get an invicta instead
Nice!
