Great tip Glenn! That is exactly how I set the hook on a T-rig and rarely have them come off on the way to the boat. Sometimes there's nothing there when I set the hook, but that's probably a different issue...:)
Wow. Great tip Glenn! I can't recall how many times I've lost a fish due to incorrect hook sets. This makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info and keep the great vids coming!
Thanks for always challenging me to review my technique. "Am I doing that correctly?" All that makes me a better fisherman when I hit the water. Thanks Glenn!
Thanks Glen for another awesome tip, I am going to put on a plastic worm this weekend and try those tips. I love your videos, keep them coming they really help.
I have had that happen so many times. I thought it was in my technique and now I know. This is what makes RUclips a great site contributors like you willing to share. Thanks Glenn
Awesome! I'll share this on Facebook since I know my fishing buddy would love to understand these dynamics. Glenn, as I've said before, your videos are chock-a-block full of great, useful knowledge! Thanks for the continuing education.
That’s a great tip! Just a subtle adjustment to the mechanics of setting the hook that makes the difference of catching a fish or not. Thanks for the tip.
Great information I have been wondering why a few fish get of close to the boat. Makes a lot of sense many thanks for your time insight. Always BassResource for the best information.
Thanks Glenn and Bass Resource for the great tip! Learned this on the "How to Fish Plastic Worms" video. Helped me identify what I was doing wrong and greatly increase my hookup ratio.
Great tip Glen, I have so much confidence in a Jig, that I don't give this technique a chance. I think I'll start pairing my presentation down as we head towards the dog days of summer.
I fish mostly at Duesen Park in Harris county which holds some very large bass. The methoddescribed in this video will have a great effect on my fishing. I can set the hook, sometimes lose the fish because I am not setting it as described. Next time at the lake I will defantly use this method & I believe my fishing ( with a little practice ) will be much better. A very good video that ever fisherman ( novice or pro ) should look at & use it as a guide to better our fishing experience. To thanks for the very good advice.
Thanks Glenn. I lost a nice bass yesterday and now I know why. It happened just like you said. I didn't like worm fishing because of missing so many fish and now I know how to do it right. Your videos are so informative, thanks and keep it up you're awesome.
Great tips-setting the hook comes with experience. Kinda like when use to fishing for catfish on the bottom with no cork. Setting hook comes with experience. You just know when but this video helps with reminders on how it’s done.
Great lesson on the hook set! Im gonna do more of cracking the whip to see my percentage improve! Thanks so much and i sure would love to use these strike king plastics!
Thanx Glenn, I'm guilty of the take slack out on occasion, in fact I did it the other day. I know better, I was just not thinkin clearly. Tight lines!!
I'll take any extra tips I can get on hooksets and texas rigging. Pitching and flipping are on my "practice" list this season and there's plenty of areas on South Lake Champlain where I know a texas rig will get big bites. Hopefully, this will help me land a few! Thanks for the tip, Glenn!
It's theses little tips that make you a better all around angler.
