Is there any doubt our world would be better if we remember and give thanks for those who lovingly sustain us? And what a gift, Joel, to combine nourishment with cinematic artistry! Grateful.
Hi Chef, as a very prem baby (2lb2.5oz) I was brought up on goats milk, it saved my life and 68 yrs later I still drink it, eat the cheese yoghurt etc. I really ❤ love your channel, have made a lot of your recipes, love the Tuscan chicken, try goats cheese, zucchini strips and lemon rind in tagliatelle,!
Ailisha! what a wonderful testimony, recent news report in the US reported a shortage of baby formula, I thought, "good' maybe moms unable to breastfeed will be led to 'goat milk' through the grace of God!" cheers!
How amazing it is to watch your documentary. Those goats are so gorgeous, looking healthy and happy, wow. The way these goats are raised responsibly, taking into consideration the environment and the overall health of the goats is remarkable. I wonder if the same way is used in raising goats here in the USA. I buy goat cheese produced here in either Wisconsin or California. (I think I have to visit a goat farm here to find out) I really would love to try the goat cheese marinated in a jar with spices. I love the goat cheese recipes. Who wouldn’t love avocado/ goat cheese breakfast, and the mango with goat cheese! I buy mango even if I it’s out of season if I can find some. I did away with cheddar cheese to prefer goat cheese, or even pecorino and use them on salads, pasta, and all kinds of bread. We could be creative with goat cheese, like Mac and goat cheese, maybe? , Well, Chef Joel, thank you so much for this documentary! You’re an awesome chef!
Thanks Necy, there's really no limit to goat cheese, you can get quite creative. I've made omelettes, pizzas with goat cheese and my guests were amazed. If you're in US you can buy this one from wholefoods I believe. Either way it's good to do your research where produce comes from. Enjoy! 👍
The goats still need to be impregnated and have their children taken away and murdered so you can drink their mothers milk or eat the cheese - so its not as "wonderful" and "happy" as you think it is.
Good Morning Joel☀️Thank you for this beautiful, informative, Video🙏🏻How lucky we are to have visited the goat farm with you. The lady owner is charming and generous educating us on how a goat farm is operated. I lived in Texas for several year’s and our property backed up to a goat farm that had the same breed of goats as these beauties. I will make more goat cheese recipes now. I go to a restaurant in our area that has a delicious beet and goat cheese dish they smoke the beet’s and drizzle bacon jam, balsamic glaze, over the beets with whipped goat cheese and arugula salad on the side. Thank you Joel for this beautiful video. Excellent as usual!🙏🏻🇺🇸🇦🇺
Thanks Marjorie, yes the lady (Julie) is amazing, love her commitment to protecting the environment, a great role model to other farmers. That smoked beet dish sounds awesome! Cheers! 👍
Thank you Joel for this great opportunity to visit a goat cheese farm in your community! I personally eat much less dairy and prefer goat yoghurt and cheese, they are delicious, nutritious and easier to digest. They are better for our health. I am lucky to find great goat products from a local farm as well. Thank you for the ideas! Especially the beet and goat cheese salad! Love your scarf!
Great videos chef, and very informative. Yes I have a serious lactose problem and recently tried goats cheese, to test my body's reaction, and I must admit you're right. Next is to try the goat's milk. Thanks for making these. They helped me quite a bit. Merci chef
Julie, you have a warm lovely personality. Do ever strike up a conversation when you see someone with one of your products in the trolley or basket. Buying a product you is good is one thing but buying a product to support someone you have met is local and you have met is patriotic
I loved this video and I enjoy cooking your recipes. I think the simplest ones are my favorites like the goat cheese and avocado toast and the beet salad. Thank you for all the quality you put into your videos. Melissa 🌼
Well done Chef. 🏆 That was really cool and it was easy to watch til the end. 🏆 I may be a tad biased though because I absolutely love sheep and goats. We always had Saanen goats on our family properties and my Great Grandmother , Grandmother and Mother would milk the goats to provide milk for our family as well as the other people who lived on our properties. Goats are very productive creatures and if treated well they are very friendly. The goats featured in your mini doco were beautiful and obviously well cared for because they had silky coats, were in good order and they were very friendly. 🤩😍 I'm looking forward to the next doco. 🏆🤩
Thanks Claire, great you were brought up with goat milk, must have healthy gut bacteria. Those goats were so gorgeous and inquisitive. Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
what about the male baby goats which be killed cold bloody because they cannot give milk and born the baby goats?? Did you ever think about the animals' male babies all kind of??? what a shame!!
@@fsh57 A: If you watched the video and B: if you know enough about animals that you can tell the difference between ewe and ram lambs or doe and buck kids ... then you would have seen that there was a pretty even number of each in the video. Also you should be aware that it's not a bovine dairy, it's an ovine dairy so husbandry practices are vastly different.
So GREAT seeing you Chef Joel, what a fantastic documentary, I loved it. I’ve had either sheep’s milk or goats milk cheese before once or twice and I really liked it, thanks for sharing this important information. The lady in the documentary was just lovely, I hope there’s more content like this ahead. (John from California)
oh j adore vos reportages comme ça,on apprend,et quel travail pour avoir de la qualité! mais c est immense vos champs chez vous,ha ha.merci pour ce partage , a vite en france!!!
I loved watching and learning ng all that goes into making delicious goat cheese. I will be more aware of my consumption and I will be making the beet and goat cheese salad. Thank you.
Meredith Dairy is definitely the most well-known Australia goat's cheese brand outside of Australia. But I have to say that my favourite Australian goat's cheese maker is Holy Goat in Victoria. They've mastered the use of he Geotrichum candidum mould better than anyone else Down Under.
Immensely loved this video, a little bit of coming out of the regular/routine video frames and going deeper down to the roots of Foods. Expecting more videos like this in future. Being in the Agriculture job, I understand very well that the farm is practicing Regenerative Farming for sustainability. The video reminds me of my University classes,we have a short course of Animal Husbandry & Dairy Technology. Thank you chef 👍
We are a beginner homesteading family and interested in getting dairy goats in the future. So, it is nice to learn more about them, and your work is always beautiful and impressive! Keep up the good work! Always enjoying watching your videos 😊
You’re amazing bringing us on an incredible sustainable Aussie journey. Beautiful cinematography Joel. My family and I always buy Meredith goat cheese. Smooth lush quality. Thank you 🙏 🐐😊
there's nothing more satisfying than just clicking at your video...knowing it's going to bring the best of what you see into the screen, to make it the best of what we can see. This was truly an experience to feel the fresh rich cheese through the screen. No one does it better than you. Love from Carlos!
WONDERFUL! Please do more of these. I can't say enough about how great this is Chef. Inspiration and as always splendid tastes. Whiskey must be proud too.
Nice one, I like the tone and clarity of your voice, I suggest you should add another channel about the origin of every food, meantime see you in the kitchen.
Move over coconut mct oil.. goat milk is also one of the highest...30-35% medium-chain fatty acids (C6-C14) MCT, these fatty acids help put you into ketosis more quickly and to start burn fats for fuel over glucose..
Hello chef what Amazing 🤩 documentary vedio . The lady is so beautiful she raised her beautiful goats with big love and care thank you chef for Amazing information and effort . and to the cutest goats for the benifits from their milk . 👍🏻😍😘🐐
Wow, so professionally made epic doco that keeps stopping me skip playing the video. I love the happy goats and will surely buy the goat cheese and yogurt. Love to see more of this type video. 👍❤

Chef, thank you for this video! Beautiful and educational. BTW, regarding pepper mill comment from another viewer, I ordered one from your website along with olive oil carafe. It is Peugeot brand sold many places and I love it. So fun knowing your pepper mill is a French antique! 😮. Never received the olive oil carafe but was refunded. Will keep searching for something elegant. ❤

Thank you so much for this documentary, I am one of the lactose intolerant people out there, has become more of an issue as I have grown older but I still use heavy (cow) creams in sauces. I will have to try more of the goat cheese recipes. I DO love the flavor of goats cheese and to see this working farm was amazing. The brief shot of the beet salad made me hungry in less than 5 seconds. Thank you Chef. (PS) I’m going to try your mushroom lasagna recipe from your latest email too, looks amazing !
Good morning sir, thank you for making such amazing dishes for us fans to enjoy, and for giving us the knowledge to recreate them. I have recreated the Sicilian style spaghetti and everyone in my family loved it, even my mom that Sicilian.
Thank you Chef Joel! This was such an interesting and beautifully done documentary! I saved the video and finally have had a chance to watch it. I will watch it again! All the success to you!!! Love from Canada!
hello it was a very nice video I like that you make videos that show us that beautiful places and I like that you do in your videos congratulations in Mexico you have many fans
Excellent video Joel. I love goat cheese in many dishes, haven't tried the yoghurt or marinated versions yet. Hope to track down a good one here in Minnesota. Thanks again for all your posts, they are a favorite
Great content!!! As always.... This is the combination of relaxing, beautiful, delicious (I don't know how to say this in English, but hope you get me) and informative. And you know what.... this brand's products are sold in Vietnam too! I'm so excited to know about such a well cared product like this!! She's such a warm hearted woman
Thank you so much for this trip to the goat farm. Honestly, I find the goats beautiful. I love their eyes and definitely would like to spend a couple hours at that farm. However, I never could stand the sent of the goat cheese. It clogs up my nostrils so I stick to my moo moo. But, hey, what happened to our Lazzie friend? You made like three dishes and I didn't see him once. You couldn't sneak him in one- at least? Come on; but, good seeing you in a documentary type of setting. You're real good at it.
Thanks Carmelita, as for my dog Whiskey, see my latest video. Those goats were indeed gorgeous, I wanted to bring a couple home! Glad you enjoyed it! Joel
MERCI Joël pour ce petit reportage. Magnifiques chèvres bien élevées, c'est très inspirant mais ce n'est pas partout qu'il y a des bons produits laitiers. J'ai beaucoup aimé la vidéo. Bon week-end
This is awesome, well done! Very well shot docco. Big fan of sheep cheese but haven't eaten a lot of goat cheese. Hoping to see some future recipes using it!
Wonderful! Goats are also excellent for getting rid of evasive plants like blackberry. I hope the salt added to the cheese is Himalayan to avoid micro plastics.
That was very interesting, thank you.Where I am..Germany.,we buy lots of these products from Greece, mainly.I enjoy them all . I would love to visit that nice ladie´s farm shop. I also like Goat meat...if I can say that :)
I enjoyed watching this video Chef! I was in the market the other day, in the gourmet cheese section. Goat cheese was everywhere….I was purchasing Feta, so I bypassed the goat cheese. I look forward to my next market trip though, because of this video; I think I’d like to try goat cheese. Her farm is amazing btw! TFS✌🏾
Sheep and goat cheese are the best. And indeed, any milk from those animals are much better for health than cow milk. And the cheeses are the best if you ask me (I’m French, I know about cheese 😅) I eat goat cheese daily and I prefer sheep yogurt than those with cow milk (or a mix of two milks)
l must be say I'm so happy Chef Joel 😊, When you said [The Cheese Factory] my heart was pounding as if it was going to come out of my ribs, wow, I wanted to be there, wearing like them and stand amongst these incredible cheese makers. and that wonderful lady is very humble, I felt that when she says,(oh my god someone 's bought a jar of our cheese...wow that person is actually going to eat our cheese, really?!!) I think she has a big heart and good soul, thanks a lot for her🌷about these goats are happy which make great milk to make the most delicious cheese and the most delicious and creamy yogurt, And Thank you so much Chef Joel for all of that wonderful things in that GREAT video😃, for that way to making cheese and that another to making yogurt, for that's wonderful walking between golden fields which are sparkling under the sun's rays and beautiful landscapes..It's paradise 💚 And your amazing recipes I really liked the mango with yogurt and this magical combination of beets, cheese and walnuts. I wish you make another video like that about another products, and please make the video be longer so we can talk to you for a longer time in that live chat.🌷
Thanks Sama for your kind comment. You're right, the lady was very caring for the animals and nature, a great example for other farmers. I will be making more of these short docs, I have a few more lined up soon. I could have made this one much longer but I don't want to bore people if too long. Take care my friend! 👍
@@recipe30 you are the most kind Chef Joel. And I'm sure no one gets bored while watching your videos, but maybe if you make a vote about that, you know what your people say, and I'm sure that the higher percentage will choose a longer time.
Hello..im Scilian..and i go crazy for sheep ricotta witch is a must in Sicily..when i was younger i had tasted goot milk at first it was funny..but then i actiuly liked it..very good..but i prefer formaggio di pecora..thank you..😊😍
Very very interesting. On a completely different note could you please tell me what sort of stainless steel pan you cook with. It’s amazing a nearly non stick.
what beautiful animals, I wish we as societies respected them more... they helped us so much throughout the ages
I remember having a milking goat when we were kids and learning how to milk, drinking it, seeing the fat skim. Loved it!

Great to hear Alex, I think it's something to do with the proteins being smaller resembling more human milk, hence more digestible.

How awesome! I really enjoyed this video. Makes me wanna go buy some goat cheese.
That's great, I think it should be part of everyone's diet a few times a week. 👍
This is awesome, well done! Very well shot docco.
Big fan of sheep cheese but haven't eaten a lot of goat cheese. Hoping to see some future recipes using it!
You got it! Cheers! 👍
God bless you for helping people, thank you
Always a pleasure ❤
Thank you Joel !!!
Pleasure Lilly! 👍
Wonderful! Goats are also excellent for getting rid of evasive plants like blackberry. I hope the salt added to the cheese is Himalayan to avoid micro plastics.
Thanks Anita! 😀 Himalayan salts are actually quite unhealthy. I stopped buying them.
@@recipe30do you know what’s unhealthy about them? Not enough iodine?
Thank you!!
That was very interesting, thank you.Where I am..Germany.,we buy lots of these products from Greece, mainly.I enjoy them all . I would love to visit that nice ladie´s farm shop. I also like Goat meat...if I can say that :)
Happy you enjoyed it all the way from Germany. 👍
TFS✌🏾
Cheers Marneen, yes give goat cheese a go and see how you like it. 👍😊 Glad you liked the farm. Joel
Aussie: Chef Joel, I’ve been wondering where you’re based. Thanks for this informative video on goat products.
Glad you like it Tom, I'm a Melbourne based Frenchman. 😉
That 🐐 🧀 on Toast looks good & delicious 😋.
❤ all your video's mate 👍.
Thank you buddie 👍
@@recipe30 your welcome 👍.
Loved this video 😊😋
So glad John, cheers 👍
Sheep and goat cheese are the best. And indeed, any milk from those animals are much better for health than cow milk. And the cheeses are the best if you ask me (I’m French, I know about cheese 😅) I eat goat cheese daily and I prefer sheep yogurt than those with cow milk (or a mix of two milks)
I'm Also French, and love many cheeses, but goat and sheep are definitely healthier for humans. Sheep yogurt is my favourite 👍👍
l must be say I'm so happy Chef Joel 😊,
When you said [The Cheese Factory] my heart was pounding as if it was going to come out of my ribs, wow, I wanted to be there, wearing like them and stand amongst these incredible cheese makers.
and that wonderful lady is very humble, I felt that when she says,(oh my god someone 's bought a jar of our cheese...wow that person is actually going to eat our cheese, really?!!)
I think she has a big heart and good soul, thanks a lot for her🌷about these goats are happy which make great milk to make the most delicious cheese and the most delicious and creamy yogurt,
And Thank you so much Chef Joel for all of that wonderful things in that GREAT video😃, for that way to making cheese and that another to making yogurt, for that's wonderful walking between golden fields which are sparkling under the sun's rays and beautiful landscapes..It's paradise 💚
And your amazing recipes I really liked the mango with yogurt and this magical combination of beets, cheese and walnuts.
