CR Avery, captured live at Woodland Sound Studio in Vancouver, BC, May 3, 2024.
CR is an old friend of mine, and one the most dynamic musicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is an unstoppable force on stage: he plays keys, harmonica and rocks the mic with conviction. He floats effortlessly from folk to blues to hip hop beatboxing. We have collaborated a lot over the years- he recorded with me at Woodland back when it was still called Redlight Sound, and years ago I played drums in his band, performing live in Vancouver and touring B.C.
We got together and captured 3 tunes in about 30 mins. This is the first one.
