Late to comment because youtube didn't notify me on time. Anyways great review as always. You are the first one to make a detailed video on vayu while most other are posting short cinematic reels which does little help in understanding the watch. You also showed the watch for 20 minutes from different angles beside different watches which definitely gave a better perspective about the watch. This watch definitely is more value for money than the ALBA offerings in terms of case size, crystal, movement etc. The ALBA might beat it in finishing because of the expertise and equipment seiko has. The cons you mentioned about date window and automatic/sapphire/water resistance markings are fine with me because I will choose the cleaner look over all those. The thing you mentioned about sharp edges is the only real con and is also pretty acceptable from a boutique brand at this stage. Hope they improve in near future. I found sharp edges in benyar but never found on casios. I dont own a seiko yet but I know they will have better finishing. So I think that is expected from new small watchmakers. However I am not pulling my trigger because I am low on budget and I want to compare it with the other models they launch in 2024 first half. You can see their 2024 roadmap in the about section of their site. They are going to launch more mechanical, quartz, chronograph watches pretty soon. So I will wait before making a decision. Also in this sale they are going to sell 500 watches. There will be in second batch in mid 2024 for selling rest 500 watches. So I will wait till then to see their other offerings. If I had enough money I would have bought at every launch they do. The value for money proposition and limited edition badge does make it a lucrative option for sure. Also a suggestion for you, wear that watch with Olive green nato strap. Looks so good, I saw it on instagram, gives it that proper pilot watch look. I also heard DWC is going to sell nato straps soon because of customer demand. Many people are surprised to see the watch stay in stock. This is because of the price. Even though the price is worth, 8k isnt a small amount for average Indian buyers. So the stock is going to last for a while. I am also excited for their future offerings. They are going to launch new designs as well as renovate old design with new movement just like they did with vayu. They are going to use japanese movements , Seiko and Miyota for quartz and automatic as far as I know.

I also strongly feel that Vayu 2.0 was just a stepping stone for DWC to enter the premium segment and they intentionally packed features like SEIKO movement, Sapphire glass, Screw down crown and case back with 316L SS to raise the price and give their customer a feel of premiumness. If they are successful - we can definitely expect more premium offering from them - I am eagerly waiting for an Indian brand to enter the premium market again when Titan is the only Indian brand in premium segment now. And I am not sure how successful is Jaipur Watch Company as well.
@@WatchandmoreIndiaofficial I never considered buying titan because I am not a fan of their dials except the grandmaster series, timex also has limited options in india, the Qtimex is overpriced and they even discontinued the successful weekender. In India we have limited options in the budget segment. I keep an eye on casio for good dials but their recent launches are too overpriced. The casio prx homage and the new casio duro without the marlin logo😂 are all overpriced for entry level quartz offerings. I bought the enticer MTP 1335d blue one for 2500 last year and that was worth every penny. In my opinion that casio has the best dial below 5k and maybe even below 10k. HMT is also not a good option for me as their budget options are always out of stock and their automatics are way overpriced. The quartz ones like tareeq are good and will be good options if available. In this current situation DWC can create a mark. The automatics will definitely sell less in the beginning but the budget quartz chronograph they are going to launch under 3k will sell like hotcakes if they are able to nail the dial and overall aesthetic just like the vayu but under 3k. It's mostly abt trust factor and brand recognition. DWC is only know amongst the watch enthusiasts Even amongst them ,money matters Around 3k is easily spendable. people this around 8K Even I would have pulled the trigger but since I spent almost 40x of this price on my luxury watch, had to pass on this

I think DWC is targeting the next segment now after being successful in the entry level segment and they are trying to create an entry point for them with this Vayu 2.0 model. I strongly feel that the watch is very aggressively priced although few called them overpriced which I disagree. I do foresee that if their experiment is successful then we can expect some more feature loaded models from them of course at premium price. And they might have plan to enter the premium segment - I would love to see an Indian brand entering premium segment.
Totally agreed. If they can come up with some interesting designs at this price point they can be a success. I like this watch, it really is a value for money watch with specs that are being provided at 8000rs especially for an automatic watch with a Seiko movement which is reliable. Great Review 🙌
The watch specifications are very good. I didn't buy it because of the design. I love pilot style no nonsense watches. But if they are going for a pilot watch then, they should have gone with the Type A flieger design. I do not like the pencil hands in this watch. A proper pilot style hands and a larger 12 o clock triangle would have sold it for me. Also they can at least write automatic just above or below the IAF roundel. Otherwise the watch is just perfect. Hope they will take these into consideration for Vayu 3.0

Par PD aur SM watches isse kaafi higher price range me hai. PD to asani se mil jata hai India me - par SM to milta hi nehi. Aap kaha se dekh rehe ho San Martin - mujhe bhi ek leni hai.
Can you buy a pagani design in India at their MRP if you dont have a relative in foreign? No you cant. You have to pay lots of custom duties. Thus the actual cost also increases. So you cannot directly compare them. I am also looking at PD watches from past 3 yrs. After Aliexpress ban it is even harder to own those watches. DWC is the only option we have right now.

Good option by DWC, I just wish they could have priced it more agressively (below 4/5k mark) may be by cutting down some of the unnecessary/optional features like screw down crown, transperant case back or even safire crystal. Additionally, I feel design and colour combo is little uninspiring at least for me. They should have played with some colours and given us options like Green Blue Yellow Orange etc.

They have already succeeded in the budget segment as we can see all their mechanical hand wound and budget automatic watches were sold out - they can anytime launch another batch of their successful models and again they will be sold out. But they are willingly loading features like selecting SEIKO movement instead of Miyota, Sapphire over Mineral glass, screw down case back with 316L grade SS, etc which obviously will increase the price of the watch. I personally feel that this watch is very aggressively priced as I could not find any alternative which can offer same features at this range. We can expect wider range of offering from DWC if their experient with Vayu 2.0 is successful.

Great video The details were good!! I was expecting a comparison with the HMT automatic( Stellar) considering the price of both are similar. On paper DWC beats HMT stellar on specs.. but it would be interesting to see how the fit,finish and reliability comparison works amongst them The downside of the vayu mentioned in your video is a putoff for me considering i do have other mechanicals/automatics. However people who keep asking for automatics less then 10k should definitely conaider this.. they wont be dissapointed. Again on specs this even beats ALBA

I have purchased fossil automatic heritage at 8000 it has citizen miyota movement 21 jewels Real watches are automatic not quartz as automatic lasts 50 to 100 years also
This will not withstand the extreme pressure which our army endures. They are better off with solar powered digital for better sync and accuracy with reliability
Selling with Seiko Movement at limited edition tag, fooling people as usual in Delhi style. just you are paying big money for a case, dial and hands. you can make on your own ebrose your name with limited edition.
Sorry to say that I disagree - Seiko movement is used by wide variety of companies and using a third party movement is also done by brands like Timex, HMT. So I do not see any intent to fool people.

Getting back to your point - not sure about others but my channel never gets attention for any paid promotion and the watch I reviewed was purchased with my hard earned money 🙂and all the opinion I shared was of my own. I honestly think that this watch is not overpriced, rather just the opposite - its aggressively priced. I could not find any alternative under 10k where we get 1) SEIKO Automatic NH35A movement, 2) 316L grade SS case with screw down crown and screw down case back, 3) Sapphire Crystal. Please share if you have seen an alternative at lower price.
For the specs of the price is justified. Don't know the quality but Seiko same specs(NO SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL)ki watch 25k ki bechta hai HMT ki automatics miyota movement use kar k 11k mang Rahi hai without sapphire crystal and a good movement Alba Seiko ka purana movement use karke 11k mang Rahi hai Price is based on the value it's providing. HMT ne apne regular mechanical handwinding (not even automatic) watch ko 6.5k ka kar diya Titan and Timex ki automatics are at similar price range or more So not sure Kahan se overpriced hai!! Benyar ki 4k and Tevise ki 2.5 K me automatic milti hai.. but then the quality is also that way. Maine Dwc purchase nai kiya.. but on pap r kafi sahi specs hai for 8K

On paper DWC beats HMT stellar on specs.. but it would be interesting to see how the fit,finish and reliability comparison works amongst them
The downside of the vayu mentioned in your video is a putoff for me considering i do have other mechanicals/automatics. However people who keep asking for automatics less then 10k should definitely conaider this.. they wont be dissapointed.
Again on specs this even beats ALBA

I got my Vayu 2.0 today. 166/1000. I remember you had ordered first received and reviewed it first , how did i get one with an earlier serial number even though I ordered after your review.
I do not think they were shipping based on sequence of serial number, may be in the warehouse, all 500 were kept together and randomly shipped.

Real watches are automatic not quartz as automatic lasts 50 to 100 years also

Selling with Seiko Movement at limited edition tag, fooling people as usual in Delhi style. just you are paying big money for a case, dial and hands. you can make on your own ebrose your name with limited edition.
Sorry to say that I disagree - Seiko movement is used by wide variety of companies and using a third party movement is also done by brands like Timex, HMT. So I do not see any intent to fool people.

Getting back to your point - not sure about others but my channel never gets attention for any paid promotion and the watch I reviewed was purchased with my hard earned money 🙂and all the opinion I shared was of my own.
I honestly think that this watch is not overpriced, rather just the opposite - its aggressively priced.
I could not find any alternative under 10k where we get 1) SEIKO Automatic NH35A movement, 2) 316L grade SS case with screw down crown and screw down case back, 3) Sapphire Crystal.
Please share if you have seen an alternative at lower price.
For the specs of the price is justified.
Don't know the quality but Seiko same specs(NO SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL)ki watch 25k ki bechta hai
HMT ki automatics miyota movement use kar k 11k mang Rahi hai without sapphire crystal and a good movement
Alba Seiko ka purana movement use karke 11k mang Rahi hai
Price is based on the value it's providing.
HMT ne apne regular mechanical handwinding (not even automatic) watch ko 6.5k ka kar diya
Titan and Timex ki automatics are at similar price range or more
So not sure Kahan se overpriced hai!!
Benyar ki 4k and Tevise ki 2.5 K me automatic milti hai.. but then the quality is also that way.
Maine Dwc purchase nai kiya.. but on pap r kafi sahi specs hai for 8K
