I am unable to screw back crown from position 1 on my dwc everst 2. Could it be defective?
We are required to push and screw back in. So instead of only screwing back from position 1, we need to push in and in same process screw it back.

Push back and screw in at the same time.. i.e. Push the crown back, hold that Push and screw back in without releasing the Push. Once the crown is tightly screwed back, it's done.
If you are new to this mechanism, you may need a few tries. Once you know how it's done, it's a day to day habit then.
Can you suggest, how to adjust Everest II bracelet to required size ?

You should not set the date when the time was between 21 hrs to 3 hrs. Because at that time, the date gear was engaged with time gear so chance of breaking of gear teeth.

Which is better vayu 2 or Everest 2 because price is same?
Both fall into different categories, so basically can't really compare despite of having same price range. Vayu 2 is a field watch and Everest 2 is a dress watch! So it depends on what you are looking for.. 🙌✨️
How to set the date in such a way that the clock understands if it is AM or PM?
Rotate the crown.. once the hour hand is past 12 and the date changes it's AM and if it doesn't it's PM..
