Perfectly said....you knew you were getting 60 minutes of all out fist fight. That's the last era where the NFL let men be men. Not today's sissy NFL where the QB and punters and well everyone is 2 hand touch. But they can destroy roethlisberger at will but he's a beast and takes it. That's why I love college football anymore....go Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers

3rd & 19. Take nothing away from pittsburgh for converting that down and distance but there is no excuse for baltimore to allow that conversion when we all knew the only play that could be made was deep and got flagged for illegal contact which was just added insult. Starting with the Ray Rice fumble to that 3rd & 19 conversions sums up what the 2nd Half was like for the two teams.

@Jacob Gonzalez It's too bad this year's week 17 game is, unbelievable in preseason, a Ravens 1 seed 'rest your starters' game. Maybe RG3 will pull some heroics, and the Steelers we already know are driven to play hard. (This is EXACTLY why I pull my starters, against a team that plays this hard and hates my guts hates everything about me) I gotta respect such a coaching job, when your HOF level QB is out for the season, it's a 5-11 season. But wait, THEN your 2nd string QB is bad enough to get benched, AND YOU LOSE your 1st and 2nd string RBs and WR's? And the team STILL plays hard enough to be a playoff hopeful? As if you're gonna go all the way on the road like 2005? THEY are not taking week 17 easy. 2019 Steelers season is a testament to what good coaching and organization can pull off. I'm not a Steelers fan, but they gave ticket holders and commercial advertisers their money's worth.

I don’t think I’m speaking only for myself when I say that as a Steelers fan, I tend not to revisit this amazing game, and the AFCCG against NY…they’re marred in my mind by PIT’s choking against GB in the SB.
But it shouldn’t be that way. These were awesome games, and there’s no shame in barely losing by one possession to Rodgers.
This here game in particular does hold some great memories. We were at my extended family’s Christmas gathering, and let’s just say we live in another NFL city and they don’t have much love for PIT. My dad and I, as usual, were the only Steelers fans near or far, and this was the first Christmas my future wife was spending with my family. She got a kick out of how we argued sports, and I have to tell you it was very satisfying that we never showed any doubt we harbored when Baltimore went up, because when Pittsburgh came roaring back I tell you no lie cousins and uncles got up and left the room.
    Ah, the good old days.
Now Ben is retired and we’re praying we get someone half as good

I don't think I have ever seen a game where the momentum swung so dramatically and completely. The Ravens were in total control until that Ray Rice fumble early in the third quarter. Then, as if rushing to fill a vacuum, all of the momentum swung the Steelers' way and there just didn't seem to be anything the Ravens could do to stem the tide.

The 2010 playoff Steelers team were just one half teams sadly and it caught up to them in the SB. Look at their 3 playoff games. This game they are flat in the 1st half and then open it up on all gears in the 2nd half outscoring Balt 24-3. Next week against the Jets they continue the momentum by dropping 24 points on the Jets in the 1st half, then almost let the Jets comeback in the 2nd half by being outscored 19-0. Then the SB where the flatness continued where GB jumped out to a 1st half lead. Come 2nd half Pit opened it up and were looking to be ready to takeover the game and then the Mendenhall fumble happens and the rest is history.

Said it before, and I'm sure I and many others will say it again. From about 04 to 2014 ish. the matchup between these two was a mini superbowl every time. Almost always the two top 2 in every cat defensive leaders. They know each other well. Different that the rest of the AFC North. There is some hatred with the Ohio teams from each. But not so much respect. These two hated each other, but also held a deep respect for the others game. That is what made these games legendary. And in post, an even god like event. Many will say that was an exaggeration. But if your were old enough to watch these back when, it was not. And because of these, quite a few, and futures in the Hall of Fame. Don't even need to take me at my word. I've heard many (players) from each team say the same. And almost always, it came down to 1 score. Unfortunately though, how these two hit back when won't fly in todays game. Fuking soft the NFL is now.

I’ve been a Steelers fan since the 1970’s and I feel like Big Ben is the last of the old school type players for us. You would have to know the style of play and attitudes of Lambert, Green, Bradshaw, Blount, Ham, Webster, Swann,
Stallworrh, Shell, Kolb, Sam Davis, Rod Woodson, Greg Lloyd, Mike Wagner..etc I mean I could go on, but it I hope that some new players come along that epitomize GRIT and getting the job done.
By the way much respect to the Ravens.

Wow! Didn't watch this game when it happened. Didn't watch much NFL that season for some reason. Got to feel bad for Flacco. Down 24-21 late, he throws the go ahead TD, but the WR Boldin drops it (he would make up for this in 2012 against NE). Then, Pittsburgh has 3rd & 19 with the game tied and about 2 minutes to go. BAL should be able to get the stop, and have 2 minutes to get a FG. Instead, Big Ben heaves the ball 100 yards down the field to Antonio Brown, setting up 1st and Goal.
But the Ravens defense steps up, and it's about be a relatively long 3rd and Goal, from like the 5. But a questionable defensive holding penalty gives them 1st down.
Still, the Ravens D forces 3rd and Goal from the 2. A great run by Mendenhall gets him into the end zone.
But the Ravens still have time, and a short field due to a penalty and squib kick. But on 2nd and 10, the 3-4 defense Steelers execute one of those confusing 3-4 blitzes that worked so well against me, back when I played Madden back in the day.
The RG literally chooses to block another rusher, allowing the DT to go untouched and smash Flacco for a bone-crushing sack, forcing a seemingly impossible 4th and 18.
Crowd is going crazy. They're playing that awesome song "Renegade".
But somehow, Flacco completes the pass on 4th and 18, giving them new life.
But wait! His WR drops it. Game over.

As a football fan watching this game when Ray Rice fumbled that football you felt a complete shift in momentum go to pittsburgh that entire 2nd Half. They won't admit it but I'm sure baltimore was panicking on the inside.
That was a hell of a play by Big Ben on the deep pass to Antonio Brown but there is no excuse for baltimore on defense giving up a 3rd & 19 conversion when you know the only thing you have to defend is the deep pass. I still can't believe they allowed that conversion.
