  • In this easy cooking video, I make an onion burger in my Comfee Air Fryer Toaster Oven. The ingredients I used in my onion burger are 1/3 lb of ground venison, 3 chopped onion slices, Worcestershire Sauce, Johnny's Seasoned Pepper, and salt to taste. The cooking time was 10 minutes at 450 degrees F on the air fry setting. Then I flipped the burger and cooked for 3 more minutes on that side.

Ha, Annie collected the cheese tax! Beautiful weather here today, I’m going to make some onion burgers! Sadly no venison so beef will have to do.

Why would you buy deer meat from New Zealand when you could hunt your own here?

So you rough-chop an onion with a steak knife, mix it with venison mince, and decide to call it an onion burger? Tony Bourdain, God rest his soul, would have been impressed. Why didn’t you build a better, more meaningful burger by using a toasted sliced brioche bun spread with oh…a garlic aioli, Kewpie with an added squirt of Sriracha mixed in, and just a hint of Dijon, then dressed with a tomato slice, green or red leaf lettuce, and as a real treat, two slices of bacon? Your Gouda idea is good. I’ll bet if you omitted the chopped onions and instead used homemade pickled red onions on top of the melted cheese it would have really slapped it upside the head. Your venison would have had plenty of moisture per bite and not be dry. It also looked like there was plenty of fat in the mince anyway, at least enough for a patty. I would leave the Johnny’s out! Yuk! It’s almost as if you’re trying to kill the taste of the mince. Air-fry some French fries, pour a good microbrew and assemble a pretty plate for your audience using proper utensils. Now THAT would have been a game-changing burger presented to the cult. Otherwise, this is dorm room food created whilst drunk.
