agreed. we have a 2008 going to start looking for a 2012 next year i think its just too bad that ford stopped putting a proper 4x4 system in it thats its one and only down fall for me i miss that from my 04
Love it. Drove some of those. Makes me happy to drive it. Makes me happier to drive the Kona 1.6T. But for a couple of years I want to get a 2010-12 Escape Limited.
Hence the use of the 3.0 Duratec in the Escape. 240HP and a good torque figure. I was talking about the engine in the base Explorers not the Explorers themselves. The Explorers are excellent vehicles in general and it did hurt me to see so many die in the C4C program.
The Escape XLT was widely used by cities and thus were serviced 100% correctly. If you have a used white one? Probably utility company or inspector driven. Bought one last week. 1 owner XLT from a local Ford dealer. 2011, 240 hp, 3.0 V6 with 46,000 VERIFIED miles with FULL servicing documentation. Price was $11,021 total...
My 2012 has passed the 100K mark and shows no sign of slowing down. Love it. I get about 24 mpg and it makes a great growl when I pass someone on these rural roads. A friend told me to get a V6, they had a 4 cylinder and felt it didn't haul as well. It's funny to hear this guy get all excited about the 2013, which looks like a cockroach with lousy visibility, while slamming the 2012. "Most buyers in this category don't believe in sportiness." Huh? Where did they find him? To me, this was a lousy review, nitpicking tiny things that only matter to the anal-retuentive, while not pointing out how great it is for hauling grandkids and dogs and going camping. Comfortable, loads of room, and the high driver's seat gives you plenty of open space.
The main reason I want the escape is the high seating position and all the room because my son is playing golf for school next year and we can't fit his clubs in what we have now so I thought an escape or focus hatchback would be a good choice.
This looks so much better than the escape XLS my aunt has. That thing screams cheap to me but this one looks excellent. I think I would still rather have a Tiguan or CR-V instead though. Can't wait to see the 2013 model!
I really want one for these but a focus hatchback has more features and better gas mileage but I really do like this car! Ugh I am so torn between the two!
Look, I really don't give a shit about any of those engines you listed. I like the 4.0, I know it's not the most powerful, but I have 204,000 miles on mine and it's still going strong. It gives enough power that I like, anything smaller, I won't bother with. I don't even think they make them anymore. I think they're now the 4.2, which I'd gladly accept.
that escape with the 3.0 sounds nice, but why only 3.0? why not like a 4.2? they must have newer tech with other parts of the car to makeup for the power. what is the C4C program?
I have a love/hate relationship with the new Escape. They should have called it something else and kept the old Escape. I consider the new one nice in a luxurious, family packer way, whereas the old Escape was a bit more practical. And the new one def isn't unique, but the old one was different.
are you sure about your horsepower numbers? I wouldn't say the 4.0 is 'awful'. I have one and it's great. But what are they adding in the new cars to make them more powerful with a smaller liter?
Also..... I was wondering if your dealership would bring, ship, or trade a car closer to where I live because I saw a couple cars that I really like but your dealership is just too far away to drive to.
Obviously hes not a top of the line car appraiser. Maybe he borrowed this vehicle from a friend. My Escape has very little flaws, one being the driver side sun visor, aside from that I only wished they (Ford) offered duel exhaust with the 240hp V6.
I never owned a 4.0 in an Explorer because I know it's a POS due to it's low output and harsh qualities. IDC about fuel economy, no car gets the EPA rating anyway and I rather sacrifice some MPGs so I can get power and enjoyment. If I can get that power out of a smaller and well engineered engine then yes I'll go for that. I test drove a BMW 545i with the N62 4.4 with 325HP and man is that thing heaven. At that time Ford managed 260HP out of their 4.6...
ohh. i see.. i really like your videos on the japanese cars. like the acura tsx (your parents car) Please do more reviews on the Japanese cars. Thanks!!!
Pathetic? I think it's impressive that automobile engineering has gotten to the point where you can put a little 2 and a half liter 4-cyl in an AWD SUV. For it's time, the 4.0L V6 was powerful, but by todays standards, it should make at least ~270 HP with the same or better MPG's.
I say 1960s mentality because back then engines had a huge displacement. When did I stick up for the 2.5? Let me name similar sized and better engines in terms of power and refinement from the time of your shitty 4.0. The Nissan VQ30 engine, BMW M52 I6, any Toyota V6, Honda/Acura VTEC V6, GM 3800, Audi 30V V6 and the list goes on. All of those engines were smoother running, more durable, and far more powerful for their small sizes. On top of that they won multiple awards for low NVH levels.
Yeah!! First lol good thing ford has a new escape. This one with sport or not styling just looks boring. It may have looked great in 2004 but not today. Good video
low output and harsh qualities? what do you mean? Those explorers are like tanks, they're a good vehicle. I honestly don't car if this explorer in the vid had a 4.0. But something bigger than 2.5, I mean that's rediculous and 4 cylinder... You do need more for a vehicle like this.
you just need to test drive Ford's latest ecoboost engines. They are adding turbochargers and direct injection to their motors. And go and double check my numbers if you don't believe me, I'm glad your 4.0L has been reliable but its an old, dated engine with measly power rating by today's standards.
Uggh you and your 1960's mentality on engine displacement. What's so good with the harsh, unrefined and underpowered 4.0 that barely produces enough power to move a vehicle?
Sorry, but that 4.0L V6 was awful... only 210 measly horses? The 3.0L V6 in the Escape makes 240 hp... the 2.0T engine in the Focus ST makes 252 hp... c'mon, big engines are the past, todays modern engines make a lot of power from smaller displacements
You don't give a shit but it doesn't change what is fact. Those mentioned engines amongst others are far better in every aspect and the way those cars perform show exactly what I mean. You're burning up more gas and not experiencing great performance just because you feel macho with the large engine displacement. Hell even the GM 4.2 I6 is far better, 275HP and I believe around the same if not more torques. 4.0 = Metallic Garbage.
Very good video! It's so hard to find neutral, unbiased reviews.
I agree 100 percent with you pancake. I HATE the look of the 2013 Escape...it's ugly as hell. I'm actually considering the 2012 model as we speak...
My favorite gen escape. I'm hoping I can get a 2012 black XLT as my next car!
agreed. we have a 2008 going to start looking for a 2012 next year i think its just too bad that ford stopped putting a proper 4x4 system in it thats its one and only down fall for me i miss that from my 04
These have some of the best stock sound systems. V6 runs great but the 4 cyl are built to last
i just got this model a couple weeks ago. I love this car
Makes you happy to drive it?
I literally just got this car the exact model and year for my birthday!(: it's in a gunmetal gray tho!
still have this model w/ 120k....still running great!
Hi how is the gas mileage? Thank you
Love it. Drove some of those. Makes me happy to drive it. Makes me happier to drive the Kona 1.6T.
But for a couple of years I want to get a 2010-12 Escape Limited.
we had a black one too, but it was a V6 and I wanted to show a test drive with the volume 4cyl and automatic
I live in UAE ford escape 2012 is my first car m excited
it will deliver to me next week first ever experience of owning a car
I wonder if Sofyan ever revisits these older videos lol, it’s crazy to think this was 12 years ago!
Wow that's one great looking escape! Well at least much better than the normal one!
Yes I work at Jerrys Ford but I'm hoping to start going to other dealers soon to review cars on their lot, working on that now
Have the same escape color and all except it has the 3.0 v6 and fwd minus the leather. The v6 is a angry little motor in a 3300 pound SUV
Had 3 Rav 4s, loved them all especially the 2007 with a V6
Hence the use of the 3.0 Duratec in the Escape. 240HP and a good torque figure. I was talking about the engine in the base Explorers not the Explorers themselves. The Explorers are excellent vehicles in general and it did hurt me to see so many die in the C4C program.
Love my 1st gen. 230,000 and still runs great.Check your cats and coils!!!

the new 2013/14 model looks ugly! very emasculated and feminine.
AMEN! I like the models showed in this vid.
I agree.
You took that personally?
@@eprahs1 exactly who calls a car feminine 😐
@Issa Vibez not really lmao
I'd say there is your reason to go with the Escape then, plus Ford is offering great deals on them too so thats a bonus :)
What a beauty!

I`m buying this model with the V6 engine. Should have it sometime this week or within 2 weeks.
Very good choice.
I really want one for these but a focus hatchback has more features and better gas mileage but I really do like this car! Ugh I am so torn between the two!

I do believe the numbers you gave me. The 3.0L V6 sounds nice in an escape then.
I have a 2011 with the 3.0L V6
I didn't want a 4 cylinder.
I have a 2008 escape and having problems with the rear shock tower, gets rusted easily!
that escape with the 3.0 sounds nice, but why only 3.0? why not like a 4.2? they must have newer tech with other parts of the car to makeup for the power. what is the C4C program?

What the Escape offers is AWD and way more room, so I guess you got to decide which is more important for you :)
are you sure about your horsepower numbers? I wouldn't say the 4.0 is 'awful'. I have one and it's great. But what are they adding in the new cars to make them more powerful with a smaller liter?
Not as much as I thought. I didn't know they pack more horsepower in smaller cars now.
I hope Ford brings back the Escape hybrid, there are still a lot of customers who want one but they are all sold out
Awesome Video Sofyan! :)
we had a 2010 escape v6 that thing was a fast fucker now we have a 2013 1.6 not even as close to it but 10 M.P.G better
Also..... I was wondering if your dealership would bring, ship, or trade a car closer to where I live because I saw a couple cars that I really like but your dealership is just too far away to drive to.
y u no do 2013 ford flex
ford has great interior
we do DX's (trades) with other dealers, where area are you from?
What does 201A mean?
Give this body style the new interior & make it a hybrid, I would buy it.
Obviously hes not a top of the line car appraiser. Maybe he borrowed this vehicle from a friend. My Escape has very little flaws, one being the driver side sun visor, aside from that I only wished they (Ford) offered duel exhaust with the 240hp V6.
Where do u get all these cars? im sorry, im new.
If anyone has this car and has any tips for putting in subwoofers cause I don't no where I would put a head unit please help

it certianly is something! especially a car like this needs more than 2 and a half liters. I want my 4.0 with a V6 god dammit!
he used to work at a Honda dealership
the new escapes remind me of the new toyota rav 4
But I would argue that the Rav4s are decent looking while the design of the new Escape doesn't really cut it.
ohh. i see.. i really like your videos on the japanese cars. like the acura tsx (your parents car) Please do more reviews on the Japanese cars. Thanks!!!
bc we haven't gotten one in yet

he gets these cars from a ford dealership he works at he reviews the new and used cars

Necesito una camioneta Ford escalaba 2021 pero nuevo misma figura pero de 4 cilindros estándar equipada, soy de México

This car is the same as the Mazda Tribute
Car start-up like Honda starter.. =)
I live in Northwest Arkansas but I'm pretty picky like Eric (mercmilan06) so I will probably have to end up ordering what I want. :)

To me, the 2013 Escapes are ugly
You should not be able to get the Sport Appearance Package with the Steel Blue color...that thing looks hideous

Size isn't everything
4wd o Awd
Ford markets it as Intelligent 4WD, but it's really an all wheel drive system.
No vehicle lasts long where I live, road salt destroys them long before the drive train goes bad.

why are all these cars comming with like 2 or 3 liter? that's pathetic!
lol
Get a v6
This is the best generation all the other and newer ones are ugly
I consider the bronco sport the continuation of the original Ford Escape.
