please fully read! Earlier I had put a stupid comment to the effect that this job is hard and that I won't be touching my door... Well this gentleman in the video made the job a total breeze for me. I've done plenty of car jobs but my hats off this video was phenomenal. Thank you so much! If you have doubts like me don't let the steps intimidate you, trust me follow the steps in the video and you'd be golden!!
Thanks for the video. I did it a little differently and wanted to share in case it helps anyone. I didn't detach the entire white water shield material, just the half on the side of the door lock mechanism. I left the half closest to the door hinge attached. I also detached the door handle rod at the lock mechanism area instead of at the top of the door, so when I removed the lock assembly, the rod stayed in the door . By removing that 10mm bolt for the window track like you did, the window track was able to make enough room for the lock assembly to come out without having to remove the track too. I think this made reassembly easier for me.
Thank you very much for detailed video, took me about 90 minutes to follow all the steps and replacement went successful. Wouldve taken longer at the shop (including tike to drive and back) and saved money as well.
I guess I should have started with those screws on the door sill; I spent an hour taking everything out just to discover that I cannot crack those screws even with Liquid Wrench and a hand impact driver.
sorry to say you have a very large problem. Both my rear doors won't open(both require the actuator), and the front door only opens from the outside handle(needs cable) . I'm afraid to lock the car incase no doors open again. NB: To open the rear doors, unbolt from the frame a little, then jiggle open. 2004 Acura TL 300k

Great help, looks very intimidating but actually pretty simple

Great tutorial thank you very much you did the whole operation with the window down the whole time?
Very helpful video!
All this work for a small fix man idk if I want to do it. I’m so scared to mess something up.
The steps look a lot more complex when you're watching a long video than it really is when you go to do it. One step at a time and you got it.
how do you get the door open there is no way of me actually opening the door

I followed all the steps , and the door locks and unlocks but when I put the key in it only unlocks . It doesn’t lock at all
Beautiful video thanks I’m actually going to tackle this my self , thanks the links can you provide where you got the pick from ?
It keeps auto-locking, when I press the unlock in the car, and when I turn my key it re-locks itself.. idk what I did
What if the new one unlocks now it didn't before, but now it doesn't unlock
Anyone got a video for a 2005 acura r RL?
What a great video, but what a F*ing job this is 😂
