Well when you use Sig as your basis, ya it'll look great. As a 226 owner, this Rex Zero is god damn amazing for what they're charging for it. Arex hit it out of the ballbark with it. Kudos to them.
I watched this review a few weeks ago and I bought one a couple days ago. I'm not a striker fan so I really like this gun. Shoots great, very nice quality.
I shot one today. Instantly fell in love . Best shooting I've ever achieved with a pistol and just so comfortable in my hands . Instantly fell in love 1st mag .
I just bought this gun and it's certainly gorgeous. I just love the look and feel of it. Mine came with the G10 handles, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Rex fan for life.
I want this gun so bad. I've evolved as a gun enthusiast, and I'm still willing to take advice from others, but I wants what I wants, and I likes what I likes. Lol.
Absolutely love this pistol. It looks just like the Sig p229 but handled the gauntlet test better than anything I've seen. I'd love to get my hands on one of these...
I bit the bullet and went with the LEGION 229 instead. And it’s not getting run through the gauntlet. Though the REX is not being ruled out of my collection. Thanks SOOTCH!
If you could 1789 as the beginning of this one and thereby eliminated Shay's Rebellion, you can say that the Republic lasted about 8 years - until the Sedition Acts of 1798. The public acquiescence and total lack of Federal officials hanged in public proves that the Republic was dead. Thus endeth today's happy bedtime story to bring pleasant dreams to all.
Have to check the local range and see if they have this for a test. Love that it it's double action with a dedicated decock mechanism. She is a beauty.
Such a gorgeous firearm. I'd love training with it but at the same time I'd probably avoid actually carrying it cuz its just so beautiful. If you can Don, I'd love to see your take on the Beretta M9A3.
That is a really cool firearm, it never really got my goat though if you know what i mean. Idk what it is, kinda seems like a generic tacticool pistol to me, but that's what's great about this wonderful country, we have so many options for fun guns, and defense arms.
My pistol is a 1936 FN 1910 32 acp. 😎 I found it while looking for some suitable rock for knapping some flint points for my Atlatl darts. It needed some new parts but shoots well. I did find some really nice agate for knapping too.
Dont get the delta. Its nice, but the grip texture will rub a raw spot on your palms. If you get one, be prepared to buy the stippled frame for another 150 bucks. I traded my delta.
@@selfreliance1014 yeah, i got some big meaty hands, even with the small backstrap, i was gettin a blister after about 200 to 250 rounds. Im glad you enjoy it! Its built well, mecgar mags, metal sights...couldnt ask for more, except different grip texture!

That is one of the nicest looking guns on the market today. I love nickel finish for the looks. Be a nice gun for the range when you just want something sharp and classy looking. Secure it in an equally good looking shoulder holster and when wearing a suit you'd feel like a million bucks.
Arex makes some nice pistols. I have the Rex Zero1 and Zero 2. The Zero 2 is a beautiful, great feeling and outstanding shooting pistol. The people at the gun store were drooling over it as I was doing the paperwork to do the FFL transfer. I'm sure the Zero 1 CP is of the same quality.
I have it all black compact. Its an awesome gun and I highly recommend it just not for conceal carry. The slide is too slick its not just a nickel thing. Its pretty much impossible to sling shot it if your hands are sweaty. Super accurate great single action trigger. Double action is like pulling a bus with your teeth.
These pistols may look like Sig knock off's but they're great guns, tested to the max, dependable and made from very high quality materials. I am on the fence about this and the 226 Legion, same basic functionality and appearance but at half the cost almost and I actually like how they incorporate the slide lock with the decocker, that's pretty effin cool and you get a safety if you want it, if you don't, just don't use it and keep it with one in the chamber and decocked. Man, it's going to be a tough decision on which way to go, this or the Sig. I have the P220 Legion and I love that so I'm leaning toward the Sig but man, this is such a great value.

I have this firearm and must say that out of my inventory it is one of the must accurate firearms that I have at 25 yards the groupings is about 2” not bad for 68 year old eyes; younger ones could probably do better.
Really excellent review. This pistol should be a worthy competitor to the Sigs, but the controls are getting a little complicated. As an old man, I'll just stick with my canik55 manufactured c100 lightweight compact with a manual safety. I had a decocker fail on a random vis35 so no decockers for me-lol
Very nice firearm! Yes, it does have a lot in common with the SIG P226, but it reminds me MUCH more of the Zastava CZ99/EZ9. I also prefer a lower bore axis. I have 2 CZ 75 platform guns. but my crystal ball is clearing... YES, I think I see one in my future!
@Hewhoremains420 I got a Tristar "P200". an all steel CZ clone made by Canik. Unfortunately Tristar no longer imports them. I also have a Sar USA B6. It is a polymer clone of the CZ75, and a really great gun, at a really good price. Sarsilmaz got started producing that gun as a contractor for Tanfoglio, who sold it as the polymer "Witness". The bore axis on the Rex zero is pretty low, but I don't believe it is comparable to the CZ platform.
Thanks for the review sootch on this great looking and shooting firearm as I will be ordering one this week just like the one in this review. I am a 1911 45 man so I like the cocked and locked feature on this Rex Zero 1 cp. And I will have 2 9mm in my house as I bought the Kimber micro stainless that you did a review on as well. Happy shooting and God bless the USA.
Agreed, this video also makes me slightly wish I bought Nickel instead of the FDE. Out of curiosity, do either of yours have any chips in the anodized finish on the frame rail? I only had
Nin Thi I've had my two Arex full size for almost 2 years. I do have a cpl chips out of the finish at the end of the gun (barrel side). I do have a streamlight flashlight on one and a streamlight/laser on the other. These guns are definitely worth the money. Fuck how it looks...its gonna work when you need it, so long as you did your part and loaded it.
I'll be taking a very close look at this pistol if they come out with a decocker only (no manual safety) model. I've been looking at a CZ P-01, but the Rex Zero 1 design is probably more reliable in more trying conditions than a CZ. The specs are better too (a little lighter, an extra round, etc.) But CZ is tough to beat in shootability and ergonomics, and I love the excellent .22LR Kadet adapter for CZs. At present, I've decided a manual safety is a dealbreaker for me for a carry gun, so for now I'm not considering a Rex.
i'm looking at these guns as well. Prefer not to have a manual safety, but it's not too hard to sweep your thumb down on a draw even if you always keep it off. I'd get both a P-01 and a Rex CP but can't justify spending so much money.
Carry with the hammer cocked and safety on. All shots are uniform and train yourself to automatically slide it down on draw. It's faster than screwing with pointless decockers. Obviously with modern striker designs a safety isn't needed.
That 22 adapter sounds cool. I just got a classic sp01. I don't get why people are so offended by the safety. I can decock it manually if I want double and pretend the safety isn't there, or of I want it cocked and locked I use the safety.
Looks comparable to the P229 which I really love. This is my first time seeing one of these Rex pistols. The RUclips Algorithm actually recommended something worth watching, lol. Looks like you can find these on Gunbroker for around $500 or so. Not bad. But... That's not a lot less than you can get an actual Sig for. My question is do you think it's worth the savings? Not only is a Sig.. well, a Sig but the parts support, both new and used, is huge. There isn't a lot for the Rex 1 even now. Which is my biggest trepidation when considering one. Otherwise what a sweet looking pistola. Also. Thanks for mentioning the Lula mag loader. I've seen them in other people's videos but not mentioned by name. Now I know what to search for.
Oh the irony! Hangun review, while wearing a Levi Stauss hoodie. Handguns are a cornerstone of our freedom and the Levi Strauss Co. is against handguns (and probably all guns). BTW, love your vids, Sootch.

If you have any experience with the CZ p-01 I would love to hear what your opinion is on pros and cons between the two guns. Since they are roughly the same price, which would you choose?

Way better than sig

RUclips is like, he fired a firearm with a hoodie on, issue third guideline strike...
I'd like to see some checkering on the grip front and rear straps and some higher profile sights.
What a sexy pistol! This Rex Zero 1 CP is getting on my nerve.
Somthing not polymer and black. Very nice.
Awesome review. I like the design and wish others would follow. Need to check one out.
Oh the irony! Hangun review, while wearing a Levi Stauss hoodie. Handguns are a cornerstone of our freedom and the Levi Strauss Co. is against handguns (and probably all guns). BTW, love your vids, Sootch.
beautiful piece
Slovenian Pride!
Wow! Beautiful
Thanks I love the finish on this and this video shows it off well. Great stuff! Thanks for the discount codes too!!!

Sootch is awesome. Great videos.
As always your reviews are excellent thanks a lot
Nice handgun. Little pricey but, nice pistol. Never heard of Rex Zero...LOL, no big surprise there.
Like the Levi 'hoody' !!
Good review, thanks shipmate !!!
God Bless us all
I would like to see the compact models set up with a rmr slide cut or. Set up that way . I think they just set up the tactical model.
This was the only gun that Tim did the torture test on that passed without any problems. No other pistol has surpassed it yet on the torture test.
Braxton Miller HK usp did. Plus the Glock wasn’t far behind either.
Unscientific for entertainment purposes only internet test...
Es ist Technik von CZ 99 von Serbische Version nur mit anderen Materialien gemacht und CZ ist copy von SIG p 226
That is one good looking handgun!
Thanks for watching Brother!
The notch in the slide for the take-down lever is obviously in the wrong place.
Great review my brother I hope you and your family had a great merry Christmas
The special Cylon edition.
Nice looking gun. Definitely going to have to get a hands on look at one. Thanks for the review.
If you have any experience with the CZ p-01 I would love to hear what your opinion is on pros and cons between the two guns. Since they are roughly the same price, which would you choose?
I was hoping the hot babe from Rob Zombie Thunder Kiss music video was going to demo the weapon 🤩🤩🤩, great music on video, liked the other gun review with AC/DC 🤘🤘🤘
Nice alternative to digs, especially price
I have a Rex Zero 1S, I love it! Now maybe just maybe... maybe.. Arex will do one in 10mm..😁🤞🤞
