Great review! I have three of these in different configurations and love 'em. Because they're such a huge chunk of metal they soak up recoil. I can make shot after shot - my Arexs always make me look good. The grip is thick and for a guy with medium/small hands that took some getting used to. Don't let it put you off; there's a way to make it work. Same with the trigger; it's different, but put in the time.
Thanks for shedding light on the lineage. It's really much more like a Zastava CZ99/CZ999/EZ9 than any Sig. I read somewhere (but can't find it) that one of the early Arex employees (or even founders) was an ex-Zastava employee/engineer who heavily influenced the Zero !'s design. I have a Sig MK25 and I love it, too. Different gun with different features; they're both wonderful in their own right.
Not sure what happened business-wise. They're an absolute bargain right now. I've read that the Ukraine/Russia conflict may have impacted the business; maybe more focus on military deals than civilian sales. But that's just hearsay. I'll certainly purchase a Zero 2 at some point.
I just purchased a Zero 1 in .32 ACP which is super unusual in the United States. I can't wait to get my hands on it; all that metal soaking up the recoil from .32 ACP should feel like nothing!

I think this rex is criminally underrated and it's a damn shame. For the money it's a fantastic value. I own it and standard sig 226. For me, it feels different than the sig when you fire it. Not saying the sig is bad at all...at all, just different. The rex seems to come straight back into my hand with minimal muzzle flip. Like you said, the rex makes you look better shooting because you can accurately really rip off some rounds.

It really is such an underrated pistol, don't understand why, I absolutely luv my ZERO 1 so much that I own 3 of there 4 models, the S, T, and TC. such smooth shooting pistols, you can just feel the quality in hand.

Maybe people confused it for the Sig because Arex makes the Rex Alpha which is definitely a P226 Internally. Their new WForce is quite literally an X-Five Clone. It also helps that the current Arex CEO used to work at SIG Sauer Germany in the pistol manufacturing.

It's a walther p88. Arex is direct descendant of zastava 88 too. It has a sig shaped spring and barrel but not interchangeable. Also has a sig like hammer innertia safety

Nope. It is a zastava clone out of Hungary. Also known as the cz99. The Alpha is just an extended Zero 1S. Not even close to being like a sig

The spring is not like sig. Sig uses a braided spring where the Arex uses a standard coil. Barrel may look similar but it is missing the support rings and the relief cuts. Not even close in my eyes.

One of the few things about this gun that I did not like, was the safety--it is too small/low profile to use for cocked and locked, and it is almost impossible for me to swipe it off during a draw from a retention holster without breaking my grip to do so.
I think that if the left side grip could somehow be contoured thinner, the safety might be ok as-is, but the problem is that the grip panel kind of has to be the shape that it is, due to the complicated slide release/decocker mechanism underneath it...maybe still some material could be removed to make it easier to reach the safety, but probably not much.

Can someone advise me, which is better to buy between the Arex Delta gen 2 and the Rex Zero 1 cp for a beginner ? For Someone whos never owned a firearm...

I bought one based on my experience and ownership of both CZ99/999 and P226 pistols. I was sorely disappointed with the Arex. I even had Lok send me some G10 grips and although better, it still was not my cup of tea. Check out my vids on Zastava's and Sig's. I also have a video on my Rex with Lok grips installed.

Is that the short and sweet about the pistol or your female preferences?

I have the tactical and the 01s and I love both of them.
Yes the gun has a break in period and dry firing and going through the motions with the slide and controls will help with this.
As far as the safety it is close to a 1911 but pretty far from it. Yes you can confidently carry cocked and locked but you will have to break your grip with the safety is using your primary hand. In stead grip the gun and drawing use your secondary hand to drop the safety. It works fin and you draw lime a sig should be drawn
