I got my CDL at the beginning of June with H, N & T endorsements and TWIC. Then I landed my first job two weeks later which is a home daily, weekends off dedicated route for an LTL company delivering to auto parts stores. In 2½mo of busting my ass proving myself, I went from $22/hr to a daily rate that equals $27/hr which translates to over 80k/yr. Despite what the general consensus was that I have to be a slave and go OTR for 6-12mo, I prevailed. Where there's a will there's a way. God helps those who help themselves. 🥂

Apparently, that's not an option in trucking. I'll be jumping back into the profession, finally ready for the sacrifice. All to get much needed experience & open some doors. Great videos by the way. My brother has 3 months OTR experience and 5 years local, he makes $30 an hour but started at $25, his job required 1 year tractor and trailer experience he only had 6 months and they still hired him
Dump truck does not pay good. Look into operating a hydrovac truck I got started at 28 bucks an hour they’re always looking for guys to operate them trucks

If she is not going to college for a direct degree for a certain job then she is going to struggle. If she is going for general business or finance or economics or something random like that it’s most likely not going to be a good deal. Hopefully she is not doing that.
