YA GOT THE GOOD JOB I DID DUMP FOR 5 YEARS LOVED IT WHEN WINTER COMES THEN LAYOFF KEEP IT OUT HERE IS HELL NO LIFE TRUCKING GET THAT JEEP DONE ***FOCUS*** CHEERS
Been following your channel and enjoy your content. I know you mentioned you needed to make six figures to be up there in Jersey. FYI local company I work for called R & L Carriers has a terminal in Philadelphia. They are LTL and home every weekend. Pay is excellent hourly and benefits are good. Check out the employee resorts they own. Keep that in your back pocket for the future. Good luck from a Army vet. God bless you and your family.
It's ridiculous how expensive it is just to live in a basic 1 br apartment in a bad neighborhood much less a decent one. Living in America is not what it use to be.
I know you don't want to, but if you came back because they started calling you, say, you can tell them only at $0.50 or whatever. I forget what else I was going to say, haha. I swear the new admin needs to do something about rent, it infuriates me, and I own my home.
Its not like being local you have tons of more time.. you're only there to eat sleep and shower...thats about it lol..not sure about running a dump truck though
@wilE6764 they find ways to dock your pay. They also say they pay you deadhead but take it out the next check. You also deal with office staff and instructor's who talk down to you like a dog. I spent 8 months in Afghanistan as a seabee. Part of my job was to get local driver's delivering building supplies from outside the wire onto the FOB. I never once talked to them like a good portion of stevens transport staff would try and talk to the driver's as a group or individually. You call them out on it and they report you as difficult and investigate you. The recovery side isn't bad. The woman who runs that side is good. She just tells you were to go, books you a flight and you are left to your own. The DM's on that side of the house are much better as well. Plus it was $250 a day, didn't matter if you were sitting around waiting on loads or spent the day flying.
Yeah I brainwash myself into thinking local trucking is better too. I just keep telling myself that. It’s turn out pretty well 4 yrs now. Some companies won’t even hire without recent OTR within the last 3 years. Even if you did it for 10 but it’s a conditioning thing. Local guys aren’t fit to roll out 600 miles a day
Yeah I'm seeing that been local for 10 +..recently divorced...and the only one that will hire me is Western Express..thinking I could last 6 months and be good lol
@@wilE6764 no way just stay local. I suggest Ryder, I went from local LTL to Ryder hauling steel OTR for 7 yrs. Back local since the pandemic and still miss OTR

Bro you're missing out on otr. Screw rent. Stack that paper. Money solves problems. Go to a better company. Love your channel!
OTR is good if you net 1900+ per week
Might be time to move to another state, down south/ cheaper rent. more dump truck work year round too

I heard Rock haulers make no money
The estimated total pay for a Dump Truck Driver is $92,686 per year in the Houston area, at least that is what came up online.
@@KEVINBAKERREALESTATELOL that’s hilarious… in Alabama dump truck drives make 35k - 50k a year.
40 cpm is extremely low. Stevens transport was paying 50-55 cpm. I still wouldn't advise anyone to go there.
Where Stevens?
@wilE6764 it's in Dallas
@lonner98 No I know that but was asking why you wouldn't advise anyone to go there.i was thinking about it
