I'm a normie, Steamworld Heist itroduced me to you guys. So hearing your song in the announcement trailer of the sequel gave me the giddiest smile of nostalgia. I am glad that the Steamworld team still has tour contacts, and I know for sure that those 15 songes are certified BANGERS
The Spine getting real there at the end. They might consider doing streaming concerts I know those have done well for a couple of other smaller bands I follow.

Can't say I was ever a fan but every once in a while, I get that albert alexander song stuck in my head. Happy to see you guys are still chugging along releasing new music and the best of luck to your band in your future endeavors!

Also for anyone curious, the math for listing to the album on Spotify to equal the same price to pay out to the band, it would take listening to the same song 6500 times or listen to the album as a whole on loop about 434 times to equate 19.5 USD. So if you subtract the cost of producing the physical CD, that 300 times to listen to the album on repeat The Spine Quoted is probably spot on.
It really is a shame how laptops generally don’t come with CD drives anymore. I want to support musicians in earnest by buying physical media as I know Spotify doesn’t pay artists anywhere close to their fair share (and I imagine Apple Music’s probably not much different). I’m hanging onto the CD drive built into my desktop PC for as long as I can! Meanwhile, I got to hear Lacey Johnson at MAGFest this past January and had no idea who she was prior to that festival, and she was fantastic! I could totally see this collaboration between you both working splendidly. This turn of events does make me wonder whether MAGFest might also be graced with Steam Powered Giraffe’s presence at some point in the future. Not every performance there is solely derived from music made for video games. The Protomen played the last main stage set this past January and for those of you who aren’t familiar (and I was not either, prior to that show), they’re a band loosely inspired by the storyline from the NES Mega Man games, but all of their songs are their own compositions, not remixes or rearrangments of bangers from the Mega Man collection. All that’s simply to say I imagine SPG would certainly fit right in at MAGFest, if that was in the cards in the future somehow… In any case, I can’t wait for this game and for your new soundtrack!
