Btw:
MR Rathalos Investigations get unlocked after killing nargacuga and Glavenus hence you can switch that chest piece to rathalos and the waist into urugaan waste once you get a mantle.

I think ita pretty much early gane guardian set, early iceborne like on the video, and post shara ishvalda which is zinogre spread hbg with some equipments, you can easily check other videos on yt
LBG: Defender LBG is broken, like turbo broken. It's the most overpowered defender weapon in the game and it is not close. I used it all the way until Nargacuga RF P2. You can use this all the way to endgame LBGs in all honesty, though that would be kind of boring. Defender all the way through LR and HR. If you don't want to use Defender for some reason, Jyuratodus Spread is the best.
If you want a spread, you can use Beo Shooter 2 (only switch to it at 2) and use Spread 3. This is slow reload though. This will last you until either Velkhana RF S2 which is a minor upgrade, or Frostfang Barioth S3 (meta spread). You can also use Yian Garuga Spread 3 if you want another minor upgrade after Velkhana, though I don't think it's worth farming just for that.
Pierce is Nargacuga, then Yian Garuga (these both use evade reload). After that, Safi Aquashot (meta set).
Sticky isn't worth using until Yian Garuga LBG. Then Rajang, with Aquashot being the infamous sticky king.
Elemental LBGs are not worth using at all until Safi, with the very niche exception of Shara Ishvalda who gets hard countered by the Beo LBG ice ammo. Aquashot for Water, Alatreon for everything else. If you need one to beat alatreon, use any Safi weapon or Frostfang or Kjarr. They are all fine. Use Safi armor for sure though, its required.
You have sidegrades for Spread 2 and Pierce 2 with Nami LBG -> Safi Frostshot (Spread) and Safi Boltshot for Pierce 2. These use normal reload if you are not comfortable using slow reload, which is required for the ammo 3 guns.
HBG: Defender is fine, but you have to use Pierce. Jagras Spread 2 is also very good and is usable all the way to Master Rank and Early MR. KT Glutton is best in slot for MR, but its obviously not worth grinding at all for just progression.
Your biggest upgrades here are going to be Viper Tobi Pierce 3 (showcased in the video, it is VERY good) and then Tigrex HBG Spread 3 to switch with your Jagras. After Tigrex, Zinogre Spread 3 which is broken. Then Safi Burstcannon with a sidegrade to Fatalis (Safi with Shields, Fatty with no shield).
Viper Tobi -> Safi Piercecannon -> Fatalis HBG. This is meta pierce.
Normal is Bone tree-> Furious Rajang /Ruiner Nerg -> Fatalis.
Sticky is Zorah -> Rajang -> Furious Rajang. Aquashot is kind of better for sticky in general but this is solid and hits the cap easier due to higher raw.
Elemental is trash on HBG, if you want it for Alatreon and refuse to just switch to melee or LBG, use Kjarr. Your best bet is just to use Fortify though with Pierce 3 and tank the novas. Elemental is pretty not great, mostly due to ammo problems.
Notable armors here are Black Diablos in HR for normal shots, Nargacuga for early MR pierce, and Lavasioth gloves for 1 Spread Up. Easiest way to get those 3 slot decos is steamworks. Armor doesn't really matter that much, just pick armors with good general stats like Weakness Exploit and Crit Eye.

My return to MHW had me exploring ALL the other weapons I didn't use before, trying to reach enough proficiency with all to at least defeat Tempered super angry monke without carting. So far From my main CB I managed to do it with IG, SwA, GS and SnS.
Have to delve into a HBG that allows me to achieve the same feat, since I barely use Guns or bows in this game. Hope to see some of your vids to get some inspiration.

I can't handle the HBG.
It is stationary to me.
I don't have to worry about the armor because I can craft almost anything.
I was hoping you could give me some weapon recommendations.
Otherwise I would have to craft everything on the 2nd game state and test all the weapons. I would then create my favorites again on the first save because I also like to play in multiplayer there.
Or I could create all of them on the first score and end the lbg run. But I wouldn't want to do that so much that I would like to master the weapon.
In the first game, I wouldn't have a hunting goal that would motivate me to continue playing.

They weren't able to help me much in a Discord chat, where I was suggested Groß Jagras lbg as a recommendation for HR.
I can't imagine that the weapon is any good because it reloads many types of shots individually.

Im not very good at the game and cant for the life of me get wing talons+ to drop I’ve had 2 mantles and i just aim at wings all day.
