Extra note: I meant to say something about using attack combo decos, especially in the scope builds, since I used 4 attack+ decos. This was to show that you could use 4 attack *combo* decos to still get attack 4 for the +5% affinity and still get 4 other QoL skills of your choosing!
Thank you for this. All the builds I've found so far use the special scope, and I can't do that in multiplayer. I like to play with other people and I like having the shields.
Thank you for starting with the shield builds. I've never liked using the special scope but most builds are just damage focused
As far as spread goes, i really love the loyal thunder HBG.
It’s good for shield chump but safi is better for shield and dps as well
@@tempered9134 how much better is having multiple shields? I just use 1 shield with guard up and guard 5 on all my hbg sets. with guard 4 I can survive AT namielle ult
@@atcera8714I’ve normally ran 3 with max guard and it feels exactly like blocking with lance
on the first pierce and 2 spread build u got 4 attack up 4 jewel and 1 normal attack up 1 jewel so u got 9 attack up u can get a expert 4 jewel to get 100% affinity without needing to fully go for affinity on augments so u get can get health augment

Well done video but who could have possibly known that fatalis gear was the best gear in the game, I didn't see that coming
As much as I love fatalis armour, having had played world from release it felt like a such a reward to have come so far, but I can imagine for newer players it just feels like nothing is good enough in comparison. Which to be fair isn’t far from the truth, unlike sunbreak, where so many armour pieces are super viable

@@LordViettner fair enough, i guess I came looking for something more like "these are the general skills you want, here are a couple sets that are a good jumping off point, just add some decos" I had about 2k hours on ps4, I recently passed 350 on pc and I've never given the hbg much of a try. Ive progressed much farther than I ever did on ps4 and so im trying all the weapons. Hbg seems neat, so far it hasn't quite captivated me the way the sns, cb, or hammer have but I'm warming up to it.

Personally i’d recommend Safi’s burstcannon, the shield is just broken, with 3 shield mods and guard 5 you will never get knockback or chip damage from anything except for ultimate attacks. It is a pain in the neck to farm Safi though, and I’m pretty sure the damage is basically the same since the Vor Buster needs way more recoil mods so you can’t use as many close range mods. It’s also easier to build for since you don’t need to repair the affinity nearly as much so you can fit in more comfy skills like heat guard for example if you’re farming teostra which is really nice, or more damage like peak performance, coalescence, whatever suits your fancy

@LordViettner honestly its why i came into comments. I easnt paying attention for a bit and saw a spread build with no shields when with shield it basically nullifies all monsters.

nah, those were supposed to be there as a showcase that you can put in 4 attack/'other skill' combo decos there, I just forgot to say that part xD
that way you're still at attack 4 (for the 5% affinity bonus) without needing attack+ jewels

Is Mind's Eye not needed in the pierce? I only ask because everyone always seems to place it in their pierce builds so it seems different not seeing it.

yes
What augment do you have on or what should I prioritize
if you need to get to 90-100% affinity, go attack and affinity, if you already have 90-100% affinity with your decos, then just double attack
Will try making these sets, though did you have to show off your attack 4 decos by putting in one more than necessary? :D
Edit: in your Special Scope sets
the best thing to do is to throw in attack combo decos, you realistically only need attack 4 for the +5% affinity, the extra 3 levels are nice for damage but some people prefer combo decos to get extra quality of life skills!

the dragonhead a + has 3 levels of guard, and the other 2 come from the ironwall/release jewels in the chest! hope this helps :D

How you craft item when fighting monster.. without go back to camp
you can use the radial menu or in your pause menu you can use the crafting list. you just have to be carrying the items required to craft it
I've been trying for a while now to get rid of the blinding confetti that comes off of every crit spread pellet. Are you using a mod for that?

Excuse me, I'm not really familiarize with endgame things and I would like to ask what's causing the continuous stun on the teostra. Thanks in advance
He has a mantle that makes head hits stunt hits/makes the stunt more powerful if the hit already has stunt capacity! It's not really and endgame thing, mantles in general, although I started really using them in late iceborne jajajaja

there's 2 things contributing to this, first, as already mentioned, the impact mantle causes stun with my attacks, but the second thing is that Teostra has a head topple mechanic, so after a certain amount of damage is dealt to the head, he'll get knocked down. So he's constantly stuck between getting stunned and head toppled xD that's why he's the easiest elder to farm for decorations!

yeah each shield mod changes the level of shield you get.
1 = Light (SnS)
2 = Medium (CB, GS)
3 = Heavy (Lance, GL)
then each level of ironwall (guard) that you have lessens impact and stamina lost when hit, this is important since guarding uses stamina and you can't block attacks if you don't have stamina, even if your shield is facing the attack
