lol same, the Boca Chica one must have a different boom configuration as it doesn't seem as wide at the base as this one. It's going to awesome seeing it in action.
Exceptional crane to work with, the tracks weigh aproximatly 78 tonnes each, around 16 Lorries running at 100 tonnes each (STGO Cat 3 in UK) just to move the Ballast, Tracks and Car body, then the boom sections and everything else, seriously impressive to see working up close
That fact alone does not mean they are international since German and Netherlanders understand most of what each other says, share the same work ethic and similar cultures. They are on the other hand very international for having truly multinational operations with major regional head offices on every continent. They do work in over 100 countries.
I'm really impressed with the crane giants they put together for such lifts, and no lifts are too big. OK says the operator who has been given the job, and assembles a crane that fits the lift to be performed. You'll never hear no from their mouths, even when it comes to lifting an ultra super tanker to the top of Mount Everest.
Yes, flying to the moon, cracking atoms, transplant a lever from person to the other, lifting 350t up to 140m and....! Destroying the live base of mankind. Yes thats truly very impressive

But a little bit more actually: "Citizen" is a "Bürger" (with "ü") here in Switzerland, and a "Burger" (with "u") is somebody who's family originates in the village/city and is native to the village/city and therefore has part of the communal land and forest (the so called "Allmend") And "Burger" itself is a very common swiss familyname also.

Weldex lifted a bridge section for a new road 3 yrs ago, in s Wales in the uk, same crane as this, 250 tons, big group of people watched it for 7 hours. Inc me .
@@artfess I think the big yellow LR11000 is for the tower. LR11350 is (likely) to stack Starship because the tower won't be complete with it's own crane by June 20th, their target for the orbital flight test.

It is strange that this behemoth that costs who knows how many millions of euros has an ordinary household aftermarket A/C unit in the operator's cabin...
the aftermarket unit is good enough, why waste time on making one of their own is like spacex and the seats for their dragon capsule... they worked with formula 1 teams instead of wasting time and money in "reinventing the wheel"

I'm here because of that. Tankzilla is apparently a Liebherr LR 1600/2, however, SpaceX is possibly taking delivery and assembling a Liebherr 11350 right now. There is a an aerial photo on twitter of a crane with the caption "Liebherr 11350", and a video on RUclips last night of what look like large yellow crane boom parts with the word "Liebherr" visible.
The good thing about these crawler cranes is the mobility within the work area and with booms with high heights and can withstand loads of 3000 tons or more compared to the road crane on wheels, not forgetting the road type and the advantage of this crawler crane is that it does not need support and can move the load without the need for the crane is stopped because the crawler has mobility to move with the load lifted, the only disadvantage of these crawler cranes is the high cost of acquisition and the time for it to be mounted and have another disadvantage that it cannot walk on public roads.
Somehow i feel like if i were german id be on a crane by now. Certified operator here with no opportunity cdl to operate. Great video though. Love cranes especially the big 1s.

How much energy has each turbine got to produce just to off set its on construction? These cranes use 10s of lorrys to move them about just for one lift. Awsome what humans have done.
this makes me wonder how cost efficient a wind turbine is. the, i guess, few million dollars/euro's to place it. meanwhile parts wear down and require maintenance and replacement. a day of 'no wind' generates no power, on that day its an expensive statue. and ofcourse one day it has to be broken down and scrapped (scrap should make money instead of costing money). and sure a few other things that dont come to mind now. dont get me wrong i do think green energy is the future, just not sure if wind turbines are.
Cannot wait to see this mammoth be fully built and to be used in Boca Chica, Texas for SpaceX activities.

What impresses me the most, is the center of the crane. It taking on weight, counter weight and the crane itself.
I have seen the lift with my own eyes,and mouth, because my mouth stayed open for several hours.its just unbelievable that such is possible

I saw my first crawler crane back in the early 90's. This crane makes the one I seen look like a Tonka Toy!
Glad to see that this crane is now being used for something that's not a complete waste of money.
Some serious tensile strength and elastic modulus in those cables. Crane is nothing without them.
