I'm pretty sure in Infamous 1 and 2, being evil sees you getting gradually paler, like your blood is falling out or something, and you get big black cracks/veins all over your face. Like Shadow of the Colossus apparently.
What about Black&White, If you are good, your towns are flower filled gardens with people skipping across the roads. But if you yourself skip to many people across the road and start getting evil, the entire town becomes dark, the ground is volcanic and your hand becomes a claw.
Now I just want to see a game where Good Karma gets you sweet tattoos and glowing eyes, and Evil Karma gradually turns you into more and more of an Expensive-Suit-Wearing-Dude.
Megaman Legends 2 also had the dark MegaMan after doing bad things like kicking pigs or such, but actual negative effects: shops charge more and certain side quests become unavailable though you do get access to the black market. You say Ellen's the hero but all of that Fable 3 capture came from the account on one 'London Rose'.
Mike has come back from death twice and broken out of jail, Ellen's a robot (her self-destruct button is with Luke), Andy is a sentient planet hell-bent on acquiring planet supremacy over Earth , and Jane is.... well, Jane. They're ALL villains.
Except Luke, I guess. He's nice.
ellen is more like this cute npc, but not a hero
I was gonna say that Jane is having too much evil fun in Fable, then I saw it's Ellen's footage! That's some good bad influence!
How do you know?
Shadow of the Colossus is genuinely the most depressing game I've ever played
Never has the weight of one's actions beared so heavily on me
Downright masterpiece
Incredible game, I teared up at the end, truly depressing. Loved it.
Well, can't say it was going evil so much as being the new vessel of that god's power. And it even keeps its word. The real problem was that it demanded your entire current life to achieve this and damnation for all your descendants. And maybe didn't actually spell out how bad this whole process would be for you personally. But hey, not like you would have listened anyway!
Everybody have their depressive game experience. mine was dark souls
Play Journey. Quite a depressing ending. Both Shadow of the Colossus and Journey are among my favorite games of all time though.
You have never played hollow knight
“Being pale and veiny” well I feel attacked
Worry not, my brethren. We shall one day otherthrow the day walkers...
Soon I hope cause I might go sunbathing at the pool ;w;
And me there are a few of us.
You forgot the zombification/corruption of KOTOR and KOTOR II.
Cos yellow eyes don't drive the point home far enough.
And you change your underwear based on how evil you are. Talk about sticking to a theme.
I only came to the comments to see if anyone had mentioned KOTOR, thanks I can leave now
Never heard of those games...
@@noahtackett6264 Knights of the Old Republic, and Knights of the Old Republic II. Play them.

To be fair, a lot of Renegage options involve physical violence which could damage healing. Anger also weakens the immune system and affects hormones, causing migraines, high blood pressure, and reducing the number of antibodies produced. So while the worsening scars make sense, it's not gonna give you glowing eyes.
Still, it's also not possible to stick some scraps of human DNA into a microwave and reconstruct an entire person, complete with all their memories and skills so I'm not exactly demanding BioWare drop peer reviewed citations.
0:25 “evil ways coming back to bite you in unexpected fashion,” in many cases literally unexpected fashion
"Wearing all black means you're evil"
Of course Andy's the only one wearing all black in that footage.
lol, yep i noticed that too :)
Also it is clearly demonstrated by Jane wearing red that evil wears red.
@@thedannydeathstroke Well of course evil wears red. How many evil female villains have you seen wear something that isn't a red or black dress?
*realization I only wear dark colors and look kinda evil*
Hmmm
@@lostaccount8222 How many orphans have you toasted recently?
I knew Jane would be the first voice to speak.
Wow - missed one (well, two, technically) really obvious choices.
KOTOR 1/2
Going to the darkside changes you so much that squad members actually bring it up to you.
And some missions cannot be done if you are neutral
I mentioned Star Wars: The Old Republic because it featured a similar system.
In KOTOR 2 if you had high influence with a companion, they start looking evil as well. I remember Bao-Dur started to look like Darth Maul.
@@azuredragoon2054 But in SWTOR didn't the morality affect nothing but which companies you could get. I don't remember it particularly affecting anything else. Than I never did try being an evil Jedi character.
@@clothar23 It affected some dialogue options, but it has been a while so I don't remember what else was affected.
No wonder my horn grew in MGS5 despite tranquilizing most of the enemies. I did beat up my own men A LOT but to be fair, I heard that it was supposed to improve their morale.
they also did want to train, so I obliged.
The beatings continue until morale improves.
I’m surprised hitman didn’t come up, of course the suited up FBI Andy is visually good compared to the clown costume mike, it’s a side effect of going evil after all
"A magic amulet that deflects gunshots"
Did you guys even watch the ending to Red Dead, or are you just pretending it never happened?
What never happened? I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about? They got it completely right.
I'm not in denial
I think it's the latter
I recall that Andy said in one video, that John lived happily with his family on his farm and I have no reason not to believe him. Andy wouldn't lie to us.

Cerberus sounds less dangerous as a hellhound and as a paramilitary organization if you consider it probably translates to „Spotted“. Which means Cerberus‘ english name would be Spot.
That's why it's called that because of their spotted past.
It probably doesn't help that said paramilitary organisation's leader has an alias that can be abbreviated to T.I.M... Though it might explain the name choice.
Pet Spot
I see somebody was watching "The Punisher" and paying attention. Yep, from the greek word Kerberos which is spotted.
Themagnificent7th actually, I got it from Overly Sarcastic Productions who mentioned it in their video sometime. Can’t remember which one it was.
I'm upset there wasn't a "you become even sexier." On the list. Can't think up titles immediately that it occurs in, but pretty sure that happened regularly.
What Jane failed to mention is that Cerberus is her pet.
hades gon be pissed
"...and extremely attractive."
Andy, we ALL know Ellen is a goddess. You don't need to rub it in.
The Megaman one actually wasn't irreversible, it was just INCREDIBLY tedious to fix afterwards. I believe what you'd have to do was essentially go to the area where you could be in a game show, and do that over and over again, and that would eventually get you enough good boy points to lighten your armor (and the opinion of the NPCs you could hear behind closed doors) to acceptable levels.
Yes, you heard that right, you could literally get away with robbery by having good PR.
Just like real life!
What about Swtor. When you do bad things like murdering people and stuff, your charakter first gets Sith Eyes, and then his face gets dark. (Not a native english speaker)
You say the side effect for being evil in Shadow of the Colossus is becoming "pale and veiny".
Like, honey, you turn "evil" no matter what you do in this game and you literally showed that the *real* side effect was being possessed by basically the demonic embodiment of the afterlife and then having your age regressed until you became the "horned child"
Love your content though, you guys. :)
Peter Molyneux loves a morality tracker almost as much as he loves over-promising and feature creep. On top of Fable there was also Black and White, where the appearance of your pet creature reflected your morality as well.
God I miss Black and White...
The temple becoming either a bastion of light and rainbows or a demonic spire of pure evil was fun as well
...but that also happens in fable 2 and mayybe 3...the dog morphs my dude
Snake: Throws soldier off of Mother Base
Shepherd: "What the hell were you thinking?"
Me: "This is the interaction I've never known I needed until now."
If you end Mass Effect 2 as a Renegade without using that medical equipment, those scars clear up for Mass Effect 3 before they can start again lol 🤣
My favorite side effect of going evil is the massive amount of victory and success I get
Posted 13 seconds ago and got 49 views. Are you people watching this with vibranium powered internet
You don’t?
Well of course, how else will we download the system update for our death ray?
Anyone here wants to join me in a Super Smash Bros Brawl online multiplayer game with no lag?
Says you, the 50th person to watch this video, having watched it only 13 seconds after it was uploaded. lol
Remember, Mass Effect fans, the underground ethnocentric paramilitary organization named itself the Greek equivalent of "Spot."
Because Cerberus/Keroberos was Hades' wuvvly widdle doggie-woggie, yes it was!
lnsflare1 you read the Dresden Files too, didn't you?
"Where DID you get your medical degree? Was it nowhere?!" Lmao
*sees the popup for the 7 chickens having the worst day* I can't believe you missed out on a perfectly good pun! Chickens having the worst day of their fowl lives would've been a GREAT title!
But in shadow of the colossus it wasn't a player choice. Having never played the game I had hoped there was a way to spare them.
That IS how you spare them -- by never playing the game.
@@patrickd8654 _Shadow of the Colossus_ at least doesn't seem to be an ass about it; it's Wander's "sin," not the player's. That doesn't bother me; it's games like _Spec Ops: The Line_ that are real jerks about it, since in that case the game explicitly tries to call out the player for daring to play the game they paid for.
I'll tell you what the real side-effect of being evil is... Wealth! Success! and Power! ...also an unexplainable desire for large chairs.
Of course when you are such a massive *ass* you need a larger chair
I will have you know that the inexplicable desire for large chairs comes whether you are good or evil, it's power that makes you want a big chair.

How can Infamous be on this list without mentioning that your morality affects your powers. Good Del has while smoke, evil Del has black, sparky smoke.
The biggest change is the video powers melee attacks, all the others have color changes, and also general changes to what their effects are, but using video powers lets you either use a heroic sword of justice, or badass claws of devastation.
I’m just so happy that Andy appreciated Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Middle Earth Shadow of War, talion gets betrayed so he wears an evil ring and his eyes go all black
Not really evil. He defends Middle Earth for years until he became a Nazgul.
The actual transformation is (spoilers) Celebrimbor becoming an Eye
My Shepard always has a sexy cheek scar and a slight glimmer of questionable decisions in their eyes.
Sadly a lot of people didn't see Godzilla: King of the Monsters, partly due to weird marketing and partly to moving it to the same month as Avengers: Endgame came out. Here's hoping for Godzilla vs Kong will be good and not too delayed again.
I was one of those who DID see it, mainly because I - controversial opinion, here - don't think the Marvel films are any good, and pretty much only really wanted to see G:KOTM and the DC Comics version of Captain Marvel that month.
@@sgtraytango Well the MCU films are no good. Like, most are fun, but they lack any depth or meaning. The DC film universe is doomed if they're taking the MCU as the highest standard. I mean, they should take pointers for the connected universe bit, but when it comes to actual film making, films like Sam Raimi's Spider-man trilogy, Chris Nolan's Dark Night trilogy, and Tim Burton's Batman films come to mind.
Yeah, I really couldn’t have cared less about Endgame. Godzilla was what I was excited about. Honestly, I can only get that excited about Godzilla and Jurassic Park these days. They’re the only ones that can give me that “I *NEED* to see this in theaters!” feeling.
strange cause i didnt even know they made another godzilla thought the last one was in 2014 damn finna go watch it
Arthus from Warcraft 3 would of been good for this list. From golden haired Hero to undead Lich King. Heck, even before he went undead he looked like an aging rockstar in his first week of rehab.
Maybe Shepard's scars are actually an intentional thing from Cerberus? Like they weren't sure how sane Shep would be after the whole 'resurrection from a chunk of meaty charcoal' and so they programmed the membrane mesh thing as a warning sign for if he/she had come back as a murderous asshole?
8:36 - Is that character from Fable 3 not just straight up Ellen? It's Ellen, right?
The physical transformations of the dark side in Star Wars: The Old Republic are pretty nuts with the features getting all weirdly streaked and then there's the bright yellow, glowing eyes.
Being evil: wearing a mask
Wait.......
Jane at the end sounds like she's still having a hard time believing there's side effects of being evil
Jane: And looking like that you'll have a real hard time trying to convince the people to reelect you as the nations leader. Oh wait, thats right. This is a monarchy, never mind.
Me: Riiiiight, because poeple electing an openly evil leader would of course never happen in a democracy. Excuse me while a continue this conversation by rolling my eyes so hard they'll most likley drop out of their sockests. OWH!
I'm pretty sure in Infamous 1 and 2, being evil sees you getting gradually paler, like your blood is falling out or something, and you get big black cracks/veins all over your face.
Like Shadow of the Colossus apparently.
I knew about all of these except red dead and I haven’t even played most of them
How about becoming creepier/sexier? That’s a pretty common one, and Kerrigan from Starcraft II is an example of both.
Somewhere, nine people are suddenly typing with pale, scaly hands on red-tinged keyboards for downvoting the video.
2:32 I just watched Carrie for the first time the other day, then I watch this video and there's a Carrie reference. I wasn't expecting that. Lol

I honestly didn't even realize the thing about the Dark Horse looking like Micah's horse. It's been too long since I've played the first one.
I never knew aboot that Megaman Legends honor system wow and i played that game so much (*-*)(XIII)
Tbh I feel like this is actually how it is irlmy tatted homies good ppl
Megaman Legends 2 also had the dark MegaMan after doing bad things like kicking pigs or such, but actual negative effects: shops charge more and certain side quests become unavailable though you do get access to the black market. You can reverse this by making donations at the church, around a million zenny will change dark MegaMan back to normal and a second million will change to light MegaMan who gets discounts at shops.
12:21 Not to mention your powers have a visual change. I love the video claws.
Fable 1: a literal demon
Fable 2: an Elder Scrolls dark elf
Fable 3: contact lenses
Edit: so glad you put the Fable 3 battle music over the video, it’s arguably the best song in the series, the only competitor is Temple of Avo/Interlude

What I like about Mass Effect 2 is that if you choose not to heal the scars they will still be with you in Mass Effect 3, at which point I think they are now permanent.
Nr 1.
Getting wrecked in the end of the game
2- getting your party wrecked near the end of the game
The Black and White series took this approach to the extreme.
That actually makes so much sense with Micah’s horse!
I honestly had no clue about the MGS5 one. I played the game from start to finish by just straight up murdering all of the bad guys in the missions. Really didn't notice the horn growth and figured my game just glitched and the blood was stuck on me for good.

A date with Barrett in Final Fantasy 7.
There’s a hidden points system in Final Fantasy 7 that determines who you go on a date with at the Golden Saucer based on your actions and dialogue choices. If you’re mean and indifferent enough to the ladies in your party then your date will end up being with Barrett. You’ll also nab the Bromance achievement if you’re playing on PS4. Considering Aerith starts with 50 points and Barret starts with zero, you’ll have to go out of your way to be unpleasant enough to not get Aerith, Tifa, OR Yuffie (if she’s in your party) as your date. And being mean to someone as pure as Aerith is evil.
