To do the ball link use Dubro 2-56 threaded rod, Dubro 2-56 threaded coupler, Dubro 2-56 ball link, cut threaded rod to length and solder the threaded coupler on the end. Use blue thread lock on the ball link threaded screw. Make sure the new ball on the control horn on the rudder lines up with the hinge line and that you get right angles on the servo arm.
AXI Gold Line 2820/14 860 Kv 5.3 ounce perfect match for this airplane. $115.00 at Hobby Lobby. I have tried a lot of motors with this airplane and I like this one the best. That is why I am able to do those fast torque rolls using throttle blips. Thrust motor is not even close in power.
I have never owned a foamy, 40 years of flying RC and the flight simulator. I have flown helicopters and pattern airplanes many fuel planes before electric. Strongly recommend the Addiction as a 3D trainer. Right now one of my favorite airplanes is the 3DHS Vyper Bype but it has been discontinued.
Yes, 2200 mAh will fly it 5 minutes and 2700 mAh will fly it 7 minutes. I would buy the X first and buy the Katana MX later on. The X is light and fluffy the MX is heavier and more precise more like 3DHS airplanes. The X is in a category by itself you will not be disappointed. The Katana MX is a beautiful airplane, good enough to put in a display case.
Jesus christ I have the x and I bought all.the stuff the manual ask for..64 grams I added to nose. And still nose heavy what the hell. For a nice looking plane and awesome videos made. This sucks..the hardware sucks to. I have noisy servos. I honestly think its do to all the carbon fiber in the plane. Can someone please help me?
Very informative, will be assembling an Addiction and Addiction X in the near future

Awesome. Thanks! Will the 2200mAh batteries work with this setup? Also, have you flown the Katana MX? I'm trying to decide between those two models.
Du-Bro Micro Sport 3 Inch Wheels they are for flying on rough grass.
What AXI motor are you using on this model??
The weight of the model in the video is 50 1/8 ounces with battery.
Wow! Great flying at the end! She really floats around and performs very smoothly! What is your AUW flying weight???
realize my question is dated, but the motor you used is discontinued. Any other motor suggestions? Like your setup
Thanks!

What type of Wheels do you use?
I couldn't hear what motor you used. What was it? Are you still happy with it?
