Thank you for this pattern. So far I have made 5 pair for the homeless as well as other patterns for hays and gloves. Everyone deserves to be warm and many still need shelters. This is an easy pattern to adjust sizes as well. Many thanks.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing a pattern and technique that I can actually follow and understand. Other people have made it way more complicated than it needs to be. I think you just explain it better and show it more. Thank you again. I'm getting ready to start my sister a pair of socks. I do like knitting them better, but this I have to try now that I'm not intimidated by the pattern.
My first pair of crochet socks, ever! I usually knit socks but decided I'd choose this pattern because I love HDC'g. I finished 1 sock in about 2 hrs (I was distracted with homeschooling) - - and that's a record because if I were knitting, 2hours in I'd just be on the heel. My foot is a 7.5M, so leading up to the heel, my row counter started at 5 and I stopped after completing 21, then for the leg, my row counter started at 2 and I started the cuff (FPHDC/BPHDC) when the counter was showing 22. The fit is perfect!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the ease and completing the heel was a snap (compared to the mental gymnastics needed when knitting that part of a sock)
I have made these twice now (with some alterations for my boyfriend's size 11 feet) and I love them so much! So easy to follow and beautiful results. Thank you!
@@JeyIrwin I added a row using two hdc in the same stitch at the beginning so there were 20 stitches instead of 10, and then I skipped the row of 3 hdc / 2 hdc same stitch (row 4 I think). After the increasing rounds I had 40 stitches. I did 20 rounds for the length of the foot, and I did 8 rows instead of 4 for the heel. I hope that makes sense!

I have made these several times now, it's really helped me to improve my crochet! The first time I couldn't do the front post back post ribbing, but on my sixth sock today I did it!

I made myself some bed-socks as a medical condition means my extremities are often cold at night, and I now have family members asking me for pairs, too. These are so quick to make and lovely once finished. Thank you so much for putting this video on RUclips!

I love this pattern and how you teach it. I've been using a different pattern & got so frustrated. Had to tear it back several times before I understood it. Your instructions are way easy to follow & the sox are awesome. I made mine with different colored toe, heel & trim. Too cute. I'd send a pic but don't know how...LOL. Thank you soooo much.
Looking forward to trying this. Thank you! I attempted to knit socks years ago with double pointed needles. Grrr. Didn't get far! I've been mostly crocheting last few years because it's faster and if you need to remove a row because of a mistake it's easy to unravel. I'll have to adjust the sizing but if you break down pattern into the three sections, foot, heel, upper...you can make any sock you want! 🙏

great instructions which I can follow easily! Have made 6 pairs already for the family. The only thing is that I find the heel a little thick cause of the finish. Maybe I can try sewing it together on my next pair.
Thank you for this pattern. I made it for my husband using Bernat blanket and an 8mm hook, and only needed to adjust a little for a men’s size 14 foot.

Very nice tutorial and walk-though. Socks have been kind of scary for me as every other tutorial I've watched has been utterly confusing, no shade to the creators, I just need very clear instructions 😂 I had to tweak some of the measurements a bit but this was no issue with this technique. Socks turned out perfect and I probably wont have to buy any winter socks again ❤️
