If Eddard Waters is the only representation of the Secret Five it makes me wonder if Daenaera and Daeron was cut entirely from the show. I’ve speculated this for awhile, but I’m getting the sense that Daeron and Daenaera will be cut and Jaehaera will be the mother of Aegon III’s children for time’s sake.
@@lambeflores6456 which fans? I mean side book readers, but the vast majority of HotD’s viewer base are casual fans who probably haven’t read the book and therefore wouldn’t know or care who Daenaera is.
I like the Marston option the best. And of a brief aside, I wonder if Viserys would've had the Silent Five's tongues removed if they'd given a vague explanation for why Daemon beheaded Vaemond- something like "a succession challenge was made that offended the Prince" without specifying the reason for it and declaring it just. Cause they have to answer their king; but they can't answer fully because of Viserys' declaration. I wonder how Viserys would've responded to that.
I think a good explanation for this could be that Eddard Waters was a bastard, but Vaemond treated him like a son, paralleling Jon Snow. He can operate independently of his house since he doesn't carry the family name, so he sides with the Greens to get revenge for his father, joining their kingsguard. I'd love to see him fight Daemon or Corlys, and accuse them of betraying his father. I really love this idea.
Estermont representative and the trio being present at funeral and sharing enough scenes with green side means they're new kingsguard. Eddard Waters must be condensed Marston Waters who they renamed -- to remove confusion with Martin Reyne? Marston plays important role during Dance proper not only during Regence, to they need him now.
I still don't get book fans who support the Greens saying that Rhaenyra's sons being bastards means they can't inherit. Well, Rhaenyra is legitimate and we 100% know her children are her children, even if they're only legitimate on her side. They're still Targs. We can't 100% confirm that Alicents children are Viserys's only that they're Hightowers. Rhaenyras kids being bastards shouldn't affect their abilities to inherit.
Well same for Jon Snow, he carried the blood of his father Ned Stark, and was his second oldest son, still the succession skipped him and that's because he was a bastard. In Westerosi tradition (at least for the 6 kingdoms excluding Dorne) bastards are looked down upon and are seen as power-hungry monsters. So it doesn't really matter that Jace, Luke and Joffrey still are Targs because they're still Strongs aka bastards. (As we can see by their appearance unlike Alicents children who we can 100% confirm carry Targaryen blood) So even if the dance never broke out a succession war would've still been unavoidable since Rhaenyra had trueborn valyrian sons with Daemon, who would have a stronger claim than Jace, Luke, and Joffrey, which would have probably sparked a war, an ever bigger war than the dance. Thats why Alicent is so scared of Rhaenyra ascending the throne, she knows that her sons have a greater claim than the Strongs, aka putting her sons' lives at risk. As we can see in both the show and book, Daemon and Rhaenyra do not shy away from violence, often choosing it. (Killing Vaemond and feeding his body to her dragon in the books because he told the simple truth) Same with Jace, Luke, and Joffrey who choose violence when Aemond claimed Vhagar even though dragons are not inheritable through lines. (In the books the Strongs stood waiting for him with wooden swords, clearly meaning to hurt him physically) Oh, and Id also like to add that Rhaenyra demanded that a crippled Aemond should be tortured because he called her sons bastards. It is no wonder that the Greens band together since it is not only their lives that could perish but also Helaena and Aegon's children (As we can see when Rhaenyra and Daemon ordered the death of 6-year-old Jaehaerys in the books) And wellll i wouldn't really call Rhaenyra legitimate, yes she was his named heir but was she the first option that the realm would've chosen? No. Since if she ascended multiple succession rebellions would've happened, a woman ruling is a very foreign concept in many parts of Westeros so many wouldve not taken it well. We can see this by the Great Council that King Jaehaerys I commenced, showing how much the Lords and even Ladies preferred Viserys to Laenor (as he went through a female line unlike Viserys) But these are just my thoughts ig, sorry if it got too long.
@@Thrawn23.I’m aware however “I might’ve lost an eye but gained a dragon” is still injustice since for example just because Caraxes was Daemons then Aegon and Viserys should be the only ones who should be able to ride him. It was always first man to the dragon, there were no rules. If i’m not mistaken Caraxes was ridden by Aemon, so should Daemon lose an eye for claiming Rhaenys dragon?
Hm, the Eddard Waters being Marston is an interesting choice. I’m also curious to see how they handle that with regards to Vaemond’s children.

i agrée. i think this is something they will change
No, fuck... I want Daenaera!
Sounds like cope. Fans will be extremely pissed if they make a change that big.

they could have just specified "Vaemond accused them of being bastards"....they went that extra step to reiterate "and we agree with Vaemond"

then why invent the name "Martin" for the Reyne guy?
@@thedragondemands5186 🤷
Confusion? Martin is an invented name, and they have no issue with having Rhaenyra, Rhaenys, Rhaena and Rhea, and Erryk and Arryk!
I love your videos man!
is a video on the lannister stuff coming ?

I wish they made Eddard a legitimate Velaryon son of Vaemond's. Daemien maybe.
Book Marston Waters is from Dragonstone not Driftmark. He is not a Velaryon bastard.
He move in with his uncle on Dragonstone after his home at Spicetown was destroyed
At lease Vaemond kept his tongue. 🤭

They can inherit just not before Aegon, Aemond and Daeron
