I walked through a mall as ghostbusters with my sister and I can't say this for every cosplay but that one definitely made me feel powerful and confident even while out in public. To make things better as we walked through the dollar store before heading back to the con this young girl started singing the theme song and got really excited because it was her favorite show! It was so sweet.
I can relate, I legit walked through my neighbourhood and ran into some people from school and didnt even care in my Wirt (over the garden wall) cosplay which consists of a giant blue cloack and a pointy red cone hat. Idk how I managed that when I was first starting I was so nervous walking through Dublin before and after a con when I was cosplaying Dipper (gravity falls) and he LITTERALLY JUST WEARS NORMAL CLOTHES 😅🤣
11:45 I think armsocks and tights are easier to use when you’re gonna cosplay characters with an entirely different skin tone. I see many other cosplayers use this, and it seems like it works pretty well ((:
I think we typically don’t necessarily want to watch cosplay tutorials for our own specific cosplay s, but rather to just watch how you put stuff together and your methods for like, picking stuff for whatever! As a fun thing and not so much the tutorial part (but also like picking up tips and tricks here and there that can be applied to our own stuff). That’s why I would love to see you do that anyway
@@AnyaPanda Oh okay, for example, cosplaying rapunzel from tangled versus cosplaying a Sailormoon version of Rapunzel. (Drawn by a fan) Or cosplaying Rose quartz versus cosplay a witch version of Rose quartz. (Drawn by a fan). I hope that helps.
I'll be honest, I've always loved Halloween and dressing up in costume. But only recently got into cosplay. You were the first cosplay channel I looked at, due to the need for help with wigs. Love your channel, the experiences you've had and share and the general advance you give. Keep up the great work, and have a blast doing it!
I usually cosplay at animecons and my first time cosplaying at a comicon was weird because there was like, only comic characters. As opposed to animecon where it’s like, you’re dressed up as a neon unicorn? Great! You’re dressed up as Princess Ariel from the Little Mermaid? Awesome! Idk the atmosphere of animecons versus the comicon was kinda intimidating whereas animecons always feel super casual and more welcoming. Maybe it’s just me tho :p
When I was younger, about 12-14, my (now ex) best friend would talk me into cosplaying in public with her all the time. I dunno how, but I always had such a chill energy and I was never nervous or shy, save for this one time where I embarrassed myself in an anime store.
As long as it is a character I'm a serious fan of and the costume is well made, fit me properly and is accurate enough for my standards I have no problem with cosplaying in public.
If its to a convention, the road when u walk to the convention can be difficult because normies can give u weirds looks but in the convention, you'll see that everything will be fine
I hope you get better soon. There are lots of channels that all ready do "How To" on youtube. I sub to at least five or six and they all vary on uploads. But when I come to you I'm looking for the stories you get from having been to a con. Also the reviews you do with stores like Unzzy. Which thank you for doing, My sister is in love with it since she saw their goth style outfits.
Just catching up on my AnyaPanda watching backlog but so glad you had an awesome year and that we got to hang and collab! Lots of great advice and always love your insight on cosplay and what keeps you motivated to do this RUclips thing....the struggle is real Looking forward to another great year of AnyaPanda in 2019 ma dude! 👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥
I’m a very very new cosplayer (like, I haven’t even gone to a convention yet), but your videos keep making me really excited to start getting into it more and to make new friends through it! You’re a very inspiring person and I love how you’re so confident in just doing what you love to do. I want to try to make a career with RUclips (with a different channel I’ve been working on), but I know it’s not the most steady job ever and my uploading schedule is horrible, but it’s people like you who remind me that I can do it if I work hard and I enjoy it and put my heart into it and stop worrying about what other people think. So thank you so much! Keep doing what you love, cuz you’re amazing at it!💜💜💜
AnyaPanda awww Anya!!! The Squad will always be here for you! You deserve mor subs than PewDiePie, and that’s not a joke. You have inspired me to become a cosplayer myself.
ive never cosplayed in public, but i remember when i dyed my hair pink i noticed the people that liked it would tell me and complimented me and the people that didn't just stared and didn't rly say anything like... fan behavior... honestly rly easy to feel confident when everyone's hyping u up and the people that aren't r silently judging u like a fuckin loser!!! :P
So at my school there are obviously popular kids but I am friends with the popular kids’ friends so when I go to school in cosplay I don’t get bullied because my friends think it’s cool so then their friends (the popular kids) also think it’s cool and now a lot more people are starting to cosplay at my school

I really want to make an Eileen cosplay (from Regular Show) because that show means so much to me & I relate to that character so much because she is basically me in cartoon form but I don’t think anyone would recognise me. I think people would maybe recognise me if I was also with Mordecai & Rigby or some other recognisable character like even Muscle Man or Benson but I really don’t think anyone will recognise me so I feel like I shouldn’t do it but that show means so much to me & I feel like I have to 😂 help
If you can get ahold of a plush of another character or two as a prop or do it and photoshop a themed background it can help make it more recognizable. Alternatively is you’re able to find a con with a regular show meet up that would be ideal
unrelated but i was in my kokichi cosplay and someone ask me if i was elvis i just said "yes" and ran to the bathroom wheezing and imagining *elvis ouma*
For a long time now, even before I did cosplay, I've been doing dance competitions. When I go I have to wear some pretty ridiculous things... in public.. more often then not they can't be passed off for a cute outfit so I get some pretty weird looks. I guess when I started to cosplay I was already used to people giving me stupid looks...
Ok I doubt anyone will see this comment and respond but anyways: I'm trying to ask my mom to let me wear makeup for cosplay but excusively cosplay. However, I feel like I've been asking her for too many things lately. Like, I just asked her for a new wig and some elf ears (for tamaki amajiki), all these supplies for making the costume, and con tickets. But I wanna complete my beginner (tho I've been cosplaying for almost a year) cosplay set with an Instagram account and makeup but I'm too scared to ask my mom. Any help?
Honestly same, I just started cosplay and I do feel like I'm asking for too much all a sudden. I mean my mom sees how happy it makes me so I guess she doesn't mind as long as I pay her back 🙃. Honestly I feel like if they know how happy it can make you they would let it slide. But just make sure your always asking nicely I guess is what I can say
You say your female Mario wasn't a good cosplay. But to me, it still looks pretty good. I'd definitely come to talk and to give you my honest compliments.
Aww me too. ;^; You can always try requesting me as a guest panelist, that's the best way to get any cosplayers/artists/actors/etc. you like to come to a con near you! ^^
Tutorials take far more time and work than my usual videos, and since I do RUclips on the side outside of a fulltime day job, more intense videos aren't something I really have the time to accommodate.
Oh okay I didn’t think of that, sorry 😂 I meant more as you go along making a cosplay that you wanted to make but I understand that it might still take a lot of extra time because of editing & stuff

If you could, can you do a video cosplaying pop cutlure characters versus cosplaying a character or concept of them?
Not sure I get what you mean, could you explain it a bit more to me?

Happy new year anya great content like always
Happy New Years!! Can’t wait to see more vids, I’m so glad I discovered your channel earlier this year!!
Happy New year Anya!🎉
