As a bachelor starting over at 40, after the end of a 11 and half year relationship, this thing is great. While I learn to cook and take culinary classes, the brava lets me eat healthy and get meat perfect every time. Money well spent.
Hello. How good is the air fryer? I have a June which I love, but the air fryer is horrible. As June as a company is gone, being absorbed into Weber and discontinued, I will eventually have to replace it. I'm said that the Brava doesn't have food recognition, my favorite part of the June. I literally throw in 5 pieces of bacon, throw the tray in the oven, and boom it see's I'm cooking 5 pieces and it cooks perfectly. So it looks a lot slower (Like plus one minute per time cooking) to get started with the on top menu, but I guess it is what it is. Is the Air Fryer excellent or just passable? It looks like the glass door is sealed. My June always gets filthy inside the door which I hate. Its almost impossible to clean. Have you used the June, and how do you compare the two if you have?
When I get my Brava, I would be suplementing what I already have, as you cannot make pastas, soups, sauces and/or stocks with it. Furthermore, I will be using it to replace my microwave, as I always felt that the microwave was inferior and my toaster, as that the toaster takes up counter space that which I would like to use for other things. I would note and report, that I would use it for all of my baking, that unless I need to bake too many things at one time, during, that which time I would use my conventional oven. And even if the Brava is not a steam oven I'm pretty sure that I can use it to make artisan breads with a hard crust, by simply boiling water on the stove, transferring the water to a glass pan provided by Brava, place it on the very bottom and then put the loaf pan with the dough on the rack hanging from up above. You cannot heat up or reheat liquid in The Brava, as you mentioned, that which is why I would boil a small saucepan of water on the stove first and then transfer it to the shallow glass pan provided by the manufacturer. I would note and report that I tend to like artisan breads, particularly that when it comes to baguettes and loaves of French bread. Checking out the Brava website, that there is a no-knead bread, that which I would say, is a quickbread. I say this, because that while it requires yeast, it does not require any kneading. But I won't make that one. The final thing I want to say, is I live by myself, but that then again, it will not replace my stove, but that will replace my air fryer, my grill, my microwave, my rice cooker )even though I don't see how you can cook rice without any water( and my toaster. Sorry for being so long-winded. But I thank you for hearing me out.
I was told by. brava that the flickering is because I have a dimmer switch for overhead lights. So basically I keep lights off in kitchen as the flickering drives me crazy. When you got your dedicated outlet was there any flickering of lights if on a light dimmer?
Yes, we still experience some flickering but not only with the Brava. When the HVAC system comes on some of our lights flicker too. We live in an older house and the electrical work is likely not what it should be.
Oh my house is 30 yrs old and I just put in a HVAC last spring but have not noticed that causing flickering to my cam lights with dimmers.Brava said if I got rid of the dimmer switch the flickering would cease but I like the dimmer function so that won’t be happening.I usually just turn the lights off in kitchen when food is cooking. Thanks so much for your input. Take Care
I have the original and thinking of the upgrade.I really don’t need the accessories again though and wish you could purchase one without all the extras. My biggest concern is the glass staying clean.I’ve had other high quality countertop ovens and although I clean after every use in time the glass looks cloudy.Any thoughts on Brava glass staying pristine

I have no experience with June but the Brava has been working out great for us. See michaelkummer.com/brava-oven-review/ for more info.
Love your honest review, the pros and the cons.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!

Question, can the brava cook a steak / chicken from frozen? Thank you
Do the wireless thermometer send data to the oven, like when the steak reach a preset temperature?
Yes, it does!
Michael, the discount code is not working, tried using it on the Brava Glass set…nope. Can you give me a code that will work please?
I reached out to Brava to see why the code isn't working. Stay tuned!
The discount code should work for all Brava ovens now!

It's only been a few months but the glass on our Brava still looks sparkly. We'll see if that changes over time.
@@MichaelKummer Has the glass managed to stay clean a year later?
@@GlobalHometown Yeah, but my wife does wipe it down every few weeks.
Hi and thanks for the informative video. Is the 200 off the Bravia Glass still valid?
Yeah, it should be!
How does this effect your power bill ?
It doesn't (that we have noticed).
It seems to be available in the US only, so irrelevant in Europe, unfortunately.
This was invented by a former electronics student of mine at Swarthmore College. He hired my department chair as CEO.
What is the country origin?
Very dangerous carrying that pan of hot grease over your dog.
Life is dangerous...
