I’ll be honest, this inspired me to get back onto my Vivillion hunt. Luckily I already have postcards from Honolulu, Poland, Sweden, Japan, and some other places to get me started!
This is super impressive, congratulations! I just connected my Go account to my Scarlet for this first time today and got my home pattern of Vivillon, Archipelago! I'm hoping to get tuem all someday, but probably not shiny ahaha

For the desert pattern i took 52 day because i don't get the gift back from the other back but now i can Shiny Hunt all off them Just like you (thanks for the idea and remainder)
Quick question, if you catch a shiny scatterbug does it always evolve into what the vivillion form was at the time (eg base form with no postcard) or can I pop a postcard and evolve it to get what form I want?
Unfortunately, whenever you catch a Scatterbug it's pattern is already decided. So if you were to have say a Meadow postcard on, catch a Scatterbug and then wait a day to eolve it, it will still always evolve into a Meadow pattern. hope that helps 👍

I have had the worst luck. I have wasted 8 sandwiches b/w vivillon and scatterbug hunts and don’t have a single shiny to show for it. My game is cursed apparently
Before Scarlet and Violet that was the plan, Really the only extra thing you would need would be a 3ds that isn't linked to a Nintendo Network ID and then you could change the 3ds' location without it breaking. But yeah, that would've taken ages because you would be looking at 17 full odd Scatterbug on route 1.
@@9Tailsfan Surprisingly that's what I initially thought too but you can actually change your 3ds' location as long as you are not connected with a Nintendo network ID and then all you would have to do is generate a new save file of X or Y while having your 3ds' location set to wherever. Then the scatterbugs will evolve into their respective patterns based on your 3ds setting location and then you trade that scatterbug and reset the save and repeat on that one copy and you'd just need to do that 16 more times. Ugh, see how long that takes, thank goodness for scarlet and violet.

Just an FYI the post cards don't work on eggs. They only work wild Scatterbugs, Spewpa and Vivilion.

Honestly have no idea how you were able to see those shines. I just decided to catch shiny Scatterbug and evolve them. It's way easier on the eyes
