- In this epic Total War Warhammer 2 custom scenario battle, the Forces of Order and good march to war against the Forces of Chaos and Evil. The High Elves and the Order of Loremasters, Kroq Gar and the Lizardmen Last Defenders, and the Empire colony of Sudenburg fight Skaven Clan Pestilens, the Dark Elves of the Cult of Pleasure, and Sarthorael the Ever Watcher at the helm of a Warriors of Chaos army in the ruins of Araby.
Honestly I think this is the coolest, best, and most exciting replay on Total War Warhammer 2 so far. I hope my commentary lives up to the epicness of the replay!

How does this work? Was that actually six players competing? I didn't think that was possible. Or was some of it AI allies, or what?
Yeah it was a 3v3, all with real players. You can play with up to 8 real players in multiplayer in Total War games
That High Elf spear unit that held the chokepoint from 11:00 to 13:24 was the MVP. Gave the forces of order time to set up a firing line. Wouldn't have been able to do that if that spear unit didn't hold as long.
Jimmy K high elf spears can hold the line really well.
yeah with a few chevrons their melee defence goes above 60 and they will hold (whilst doing no damage) forever
Yeah man they were complete badasses, definitely played a big role in this one
Tier 1 Spearmen. It's amazing how good a T1 unit can be. Really suits the High Elves.

It was pretty satisfying battle. When the forces of evil pushed Order out of the city and Chaos overran the Sudenberg line, I thought the Evil dudes had it in the bag. It was pretty amazing to watch a comeback and things swing back around.
Chaos says it will devour the world. We who live in it say, "Not today."

it got recked by hand-gunners i think
Gala Tse It was getting focused down by handgunners and steam tank, so I just pushed it through to disrupt the handgunners for as long as it could, pretty much a giant distraction carnifax.
Was doing everything I could to keep halbreds and handgunners off the Chaos knights so I could break his right and get into the backline, but then the dragon princes showed up haha

Who knew one day we would see the table top come to life! I collected and painted and collected lore books and would always imagine how it would be. Now I can see it come to life. God I love warhammer fantasy. Loved this replay its like watching a movie.

Dark Elf Player here, had fun, thanks for letting me join you guys! God, that was alot of skaven dead by spells. And i charged my horsemen into the spears because if they had gone anywhere out in the open they would have been arrowed to death in 5 seconds. T^T

Kroq-Gar astride Grimloq and flanked by two star dragons. If that's not nightmare fuel that causes Kholek to wake up in cold sweat, I don't know what is.
Kholek is almost as powerful as Settra
The second oldest Dragon Ogre would kill them all in a day
The only beings that Kholek fear is his dad (Karanok the Black) and the Chaos Gods (which includes Hashut and the Horned Rat)
Christian Dauz Not know who Settra is, it’s hard to imagine how a 6ft skeleton is more physically imposing to Kholek than a 8ft tall Dinosaur riding a 40ft long trex.
@@natedagreat19 That 6ft skeleton has skeleton muscles that is so compact, that if you were to uncompact it, it'd cover the entire planet.
Wow, at first I thought that the forces of order would win easily with those dwasting spells at the very start, then their lines break and the forces of chaos just star killing everything, and then the battle turns again! The best warhammer battle I have seen yet

I don't know how you stage these but you definitely doing it right. CA should just use your battles instead of wasting money on cinematics lol
Not staged! Just told everybody to bring relatively balanced armies and not just gen snipe super hard. After that it's all up to the players to play how they see fit, and occasionally we'll get an awesome battle like this one :)

There needs to be a Last Alliance of Empire, High Elves, Dwarfs and Lizardmen defending against the forces of Chaos, Greenskins, Skaven and Dark Elves!
Joakim Ängehult i dont see greenskins working with them grimgor would just probably go "fuck it" and attack both sides
Unlikely considering the state of Dwarf/Elven affairs and the fact that Lizardmen have been doing nothing but killing High Elves in mass numbers recently.
What about the undead?
Jacob Erin lore wise there has not been many scuffles between HE and Lizardmen, and actually the only race that the liazards have fought side by side with is the HE
Maybe Empire, High Elves, Dwarfs and Lizardmen Vs All Skaven

that dragon kill was cool
This was by far one of the most epic replays ever! My heart was in my throat for the entire match. Have you ever considered doing a second iteration of this battle, albeit focusing on one side/perspective of the battle (i.e. the Empire, or the Lizardmen)? With the scale and scope of the battle, it can be a little difficult to see the critical moments.
SPOILER:
- I have to confess, I thought for sure that the forces of order would lose this fight, espeically when the Empire got its ass handed to it by the initial fight against Chaos. What happened to the Steam Tank and the Greater Daemon?
- I have to say: the High Elves were the surprising MVPs of the match. They managed to support the Empire on the far right and provide the rearguard force that bought time.
- What are your thoughts on the Lizardmen? Would it have been better for them to have faced Chaos instead of the Empire?
I think Indy did good damage to Chaos. He said he lost his flank but iirc the Chaos Troops were really tattered albeit after punching through his line.
I don't necessarily think Lizardmen would have done a lot better against Chaos this match. Saurus have high WS, but no AP focus so they probably would not do too good against well-armoured Chaos. Or at least they would not be as cost effective as Halberdiers and GSs. Also I don't remember seeing any Kroxigors that could have fucked with the Chaos Infantry Core.
What left me wondering were the low kills of the hellcannons though. What happened to them? Drunk Dawi Zarr?
Really glad you liked it! I think in this battle Lizardmen would have matched up better vs. Chaos, armor piercing cav and dinos, temple guard and high weapon strength saurus to hold the line, and the Lizardmen cav would definitely have performed better than the Empire knights vs Chaos Knights. However, I think Empire would have been quite bad in the city itself where Handgunners have much less room to fire and retreat, so the idea to bend but not completely break on the right flank with the support of the Dragons and Dragon princes was tactically sound. I wouldnt change the deployment in terms of who lined up where. High Elves were definitely MVP's, although their Swordmasters didnt perform particularly well in this one. Greater daemon got eaten alive by Star Dragons. Steam tank survived to the end of the battle on low HP
like choking on a pretzel.
milkandcookiesTW sword masters are underwhelming to me if they don't have the hero with them they have no spells no magical sheild they can't deflect bullets or arrows they don't attack fast they stare at the enemy most of the time they don't do gracefully flip around they are just basically just over glorified greatswords puzzles me off one of the coolest units of table top unless your healing them along the way wish you could attach the hero to a unit to follow it around healing the shot out of them he is so expensive. Also cant wait unroll units of renown cone out for HE.

Chaos Warriors/Chosen do not get tired from marching or fighting
Their armor is tough enough to make halberds break when hitting them while bullets sometimes just bounce off the armor with no dents
Skaven/Beastmen should be flooding the map with their armies
Norsca should have twice as many armies as the Empire!
Warriors of Chaos should be able to move twice as far in the campaign in a single turn!
Holy hell this battle was the best battle ive seen since your video on the custom map of Aldorf the map was beautiful and the new animation and units made it even better

This is my favorite Wharhammer 2 battle, I think i've lost count of How many times I've rewatched this.
This was so good I re-watched it. I feel like the elf spear wall at 13:00 might have saved the game. They helped keep that flank secure long enough to get things under control elsewhere. I love those sorts of moments. What a fight.
Loved the High Elf play all round and the Lore of Fire casting. Forces of good ftw

This was very entertaining. usually these kind of videos I tend to get bored. It as you say though the map adds to it. And now the diversity in troops is more compelling than it has been before.
Haven't seen one of these in awhile. Loved this and would love to see more 3v3s. I'd especially love to see a Empire/Helf/Dwarf vs Chaos/Norsca/Beastmen. Keep up the great work!

Your commentary is awesome on these close fights. I was on the edge of my seat until the black dragons both died. You do a great job highlighting the impactful trades without giving the ending away early.

Awesome battle! Very satisfying to watch and listen to throughout. I loved a lot of moments but I got a chuckle when after that dragon duel you see Grymloq ready to charge back in at that black dragon and then it dies and he just stops in his tracks like "aw....aww..dammit."

That was one of the most entertaining battles I've seen on TW Warhammer 2 so far.
Over a year later and this is still my all time favorite total war battle. A desperate back and forth between Order and Destruction with the armies of good coming out on top in the end was nothing short of glorious. I've watched this like ten times and I'm still not tired of it. GG, good sir.

This is the battle I have been waiting for in Warhammer Total war!! Big Army , full of action for every second, I got chilled from the start when I see that cravely running across the battleground and rush in their position,back and fore battle result!! Probably the best battle I've seen in either of the Warhammer games.
The Dragon Princes, Kroq-gar and those Star Dragons coming to the Empire's aid was amazing, I loved every minute of this battle, it was so hard to tell who was going to win until the very end!
The high elves definetly made this win possible. The entire game they provided support to their team, giving the empire a chance to put up firing lines, keeping the sky clear, etc. Great plays.

Surprised I havent seen a 3v3 with High elves, Empire, and Dwarves versus Chaos, Greenskins, and Dark elves, this came close if not for our lizzo boys, but we need the war of reckoning, darn it.

Redo this battle as a 4v4, we need Dwarfs and some undead in on the action. This is easily the coolest Total War battle and it wouldn't be nearly as cool without your amazing commentary and camerawork, but I believe it could be bigger and badder :)

Just try to check the background skirmishes a bit as well. When games become close it's usually those faraway skirmishes that actually decide
