I don't wear anything that is readable, as my chest as a billboard isn't where I need attention. We are zone 3 in central Oregon. This year we have a high tunnel and my tomato starts are on track with yours this year! So the first year our garden joys can line up. 🙌💚 Jess you have definitely motivated me in many ways from seeing the Lord in all things, to dealing with the death of farm animals, to letting kids garden with you, to getting me to start my own garden and believe in the infinitely more God has in store! Thank you! We have a farm and have for years but it was just horses, chickens, and dogs. We never had a garden. So it’s been fun utilizing more and more space for gardening!

(I'm a seedling junkie - I grow way more plants than what I can plant in my small garden, but I love giving the plants away ❤️). Thanks, Jess, for another excellent video.

Great video! Your seedlings look very healthy, and I can tell you take good care of them. My list is not nearly a extensive as yours. I used to grow a large garden, but moved into town about 11 years ago, where I didn't have room. I recently moved a house in the country, with plenty of space to garden, so I am growing a larger garden again. Most of the tomato seeds I planted this year are ones I saved as long as 14 years ago, and the germination rate was amazingly good this year. Here's what I am growing this year, all open pollinated varieties...
    1884
    Black From Tula
    Black Krim
    Cherokee Green
    Cherokee Purple
    Crnkovic Yugoslavian
    Eva Purple Ball
    Flathead Monster
    German Johnson
    Green Giant
    Mama Leone
    Martino's Roma
    Mortgage Lifter
    Neves Azorean Pink
    Pantano Romanesco
    Spudatula Black
    Uncle Charlie's Giant Italian Plum
    Yellow Mortgage Lifter
    Black Cherry
    Red Cherry

Greetings Jess, and all tomato lovers! Have you ever heard of the "Dwarf Tomato Project"? They are all open pollinated, full size tomatos on dwarf (4-5' tall) plants. I am trying them this year because I'm short and its hard trellising indeterminate tomatos in a raised bed!

I grew DTP tomato plants in buckets (20 plants, 11ish types) for the first time and LOVE them. I'm putting them in the garden soon . Good flavor and production plus not having to trellis so much sold me. Good luck!

I'm trying 6 varieties of dwarf this year mostly because I'm going to have a short growing season due to moving and I need some early producers and I didn't have any luck with garden soil last year anyway and all of my full-size tomatoe plant bit the dust as soon as they set their first fruits... So I'm going to do all dwarfs in containers. I'm excited!

Last year was my 1st year growing seriously and I grew a 170 pounds of tomatoes! Most of them were pinks, blacks, yellows, and greens. I had to grow red ones for my husband. The seeds you are talking about come from the Snake River Seed Cooperative, and its from my area in Idaho. It probably encompasses parts of Oregon, Nevada and Washington Maybe even Utah. They are packed in Boise, 10 minutes from where I live. My daughter is in a horticulture program here at this time and one of her teachers belongs to the cooperative and sells her seeds through Snake River.
