When Mario Maker took off, Aonuma said there wouldn't be a "Zelda Maker".

The Link's Awakening Remake has a dungeon creator feature I wonder why it didn't become more popular tho?
@@WhiteEagle8888 It's because that dungeon maker isn't actually a dungeon maker. You can place rooms from ingame dungeons and mix and match them together, but you can't make new ones from scratch. I believe you also have a limited room number you can use, but I am not sure on that.
@@mr_koop2258 Lol that does sound pretty limited, makes sense why it never gained any traction then.
I still do get where he comes from. Playing a crappy Mario level made by a ten year old is one thing, but having to suffer through entire dungeons just to find the rare good one would be tedious.
I already have Super Dungeon Maker and Quest Master has been in my wishlist ever since its reveal.
I really hope this game comes out in all consoles, cuz damn it looks good.

If you're talking about TTYD, which you probably are, Nintendo has never re-released that game until now, so the again part makes no sense.

@@knuclear200x Because any time they create new games, their fans complain. Look at Paper Mario. The reason they're remaking TTYD is because all the modern games get hate.

First Super Dungeon Maker, and now this. Fans really were like "Fine, I'll do it myself."
A zelda dungeon maker has been my dream game since I was 10. The closest I ever saw was Zquest but proved to be a bit too unwieldy for me personally. That said I did enjoy playing through what was there by other people.
Now we're here with the likes of Super dungeon maker (which is definitely worth checking out) and more recently Quest master... I couldn't be happier.

I didn’t last long in the demo. There’s no tutorial so when I tried making my first dungeon I had no clue what I was doing or what did what. I hope the actual game has a tutorial.

Can not even begin to tell you how much I have wanted any of the overhead 2D LoZ games to be co-op. I was ecstatic when ALttP got the treatment and I am hoping it follows suit with other entries like the first, Oracle games and Minish Cap. These games would be an absolute treat with friends.

I hope the PC version eventually has mod support. What’s on offer is good, but I’d like to see users add their own custom tiles on top of that.

This game is more "nintendoi" that super dungeon maker. It's not too hard to handle and prioritise the simplicity

when Nintendo sleeps on an idea they’ve sued people over in the past, someone’s bound to remake the idea into an original game, and make Nintendo regret sleeping on it

1:53 - Zelda has done that before as well.
Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks come to mind.
Not only could you draw a path for the boomerang to follow
but it could move fire _and_ ice with it in the same way.
But it's not in most Zelda games to be a memorable technique.
@@P0chuL1ver That doesn't suddenly make it "less versatile" than this version of it.
Fact is, the ability mentioned has already been done in Zelda over a decade ago.
We've been able to control its path, stop it in place and lock on to multiple targets
(along with the above mentioned fire/ice carrying) over the years. It's just reusing an earlier idea from Zelda.
