How To Map Midi Controls in FL Studio (& Record Automation)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 авг 2024
- This tutorial will show you how to link external controllers in FL Studio, such as knobs and faders on your midi device, or other external hardware to parameters in FL Studio, as well as how to record automation live when using these knobs and faders. Linking midi to parameters in FL Studio can be very helpful because recording physical movements of knobs on your midi devices can be much easier than manually tweaking automation.
Setting up midi controllers in FL Studio is quite easy and in this tutorial I will show you exactly how to set up different kinds of midi controllers and link parameters such as knobs and faders inside FL Studio to your physical knobs on your midi device. There are two kinds of links that can be set up in FL Studio: Global links and per project links. This video will show you how to use both.
What you will learn in this tutorial:
- How to link external midi controllers to FL Studio
- How to record automation live, using your controller
- How to convert events into automation clips

@FireWalk
I am using a Launcheky MK 2 61 and the newest version of Fl. I am able to link some buttons but not all. Been looking for a solution so long but really don't know what to do anymore. Midi is set up and I can play and I can use the pads but the mixer and effect controllers are not useable correctly (linking doesn't auto detect). Please help!!
Hey my friend I have a quick question. You know when you linked your 9 mixer tracks on your controller to Fl Studio mixer is it possible in any way to link the mute mixer track light to the buttons under my faders on my controller?
Reaper and FL on the desktop... My man..
lol great vid thank you
Thanks :D
Awesome video! Question: If I have two vst's cut-off both assigned to a single knob, how can I make FL Studio only change the cut-off of the focused VST? I use my knobs for audition purposes. Currently my unfocused VST also changes when I work with the focused VST
Is there a way to map the "Change Patch" or "Preset" button? Some third party plugins just refuse to accept automation or MIDI In for this task.
Hello. Do you know how to create a set of green notes inside the piano roll, and then have a single key from a midi controller (i.e. Akai mpk mini keyboard) activate those notes? I could not find this information online anywhere.

Thanks :)
This was super helpful. How do I map my keyboard pedal to FL Studio? Thanks

If i wanted to link all mixer volume sliders to one knob on my midi, how would i make it so the correct volume slider is effected based only on the mixer i have selected, instead of every mixer slider moving at once?
Hi, thanks for posting. The challenge I am facing is when I assign the the plugin to say knobs 1, 2, and 3 to plugin X, when I try to link those same knobs to plugin Y, the first three are overwritten using "override generic links". Is it possible to use the same knob with multiple plugins?
i was exactly the 1k like :D
:D
Do you know how to link 2 controllers for 1 parameter? (up and down) I want to transpose the keys using 2 pads, one pad is up and one pad is down??
