  • This FL Studio beginner tutorial will show you how to synchronize audio samples to the project tempo in FL Studio, and also how to detect the tempo of a sample and match the project tempo.
    There are several different techniques available. The technique used depends on the type of sample and what you are trying to achieve. Make sure to watch the entire video to learn all the different techniques.
    There are many kinds of audio samples, like one-shots, drum loops, instrument loops, vocals etc. They all require a somewhat different approach. This video will cover all the available options like how to cut samples, stretch samples, pitch sample, fit sample to tempo, and so on.

    Most fucking useful video ever! Last track I made, I had exclusive use of vocal recording, and it's chops for stuff.. and I literally had a butt load of struggle. Namely, recorded in fl, exported wav in Audacity, did the readjustments there *approximately*, and imported in FL again only to find that the tempo was slightly off, so in circles I went... You have literally saved tens of hours in my upcoming projects..

    Why cant you simply just have 1 long audio clip and cut it up and stretch each separate cut of the audio file?

    • @FireWalkMusic
      @FireWalkMusic  7 лет назад

      I showed something similar as a way of "warping" kind of like the function in ableton, where I imported a wav file, chopped it up and then stretched the individual clips. :)
      This is a good way of doing it if for example you are working with an old acapella that's not perfectly on beat throughout the track, being faster some places and then slower other places. Doing what you said will work nicely in situations like that. :)

    • @EarthmanAdam
      @EarthmanAdam 7 лет назад

      Do you have a video where i can see how to do that? :)

    • @FireWalkMusic
      @FireWalkMusic  7 лет назад

      It's pretty straightforward. I showed it a little bit in this video too, where I imitated the warping function in Ableton. I'll consider making a new video for this topic. I'll put it on my list :)

    That is probably true, unless your sample's slightly slower or faster due to sampling rates or other encoding issues. Happens. I am working with an Aphex Twin track, and after matching the whole track to a clicker, it was a few decimal places under 140bpm. Maybe it was vinyl it was taken from.
