Even if it's the tiniest detail, it makes me like the Italian version even more uwu
i agree, alvaro soler did such a great work with camilo
It's weird that he didn't do it in the German version as well since he provided the dubbing voice for both.
i dont like that he said "è arrivato" instead of "è qui/qua". it would have sounded better imo
an interesting fact, in brazilian portuguese he says "your boy has arrived" because it is a way of saying that two people are meeting or dating especially when you have a crush on one person.

Fun fact: Danish doesn’t have a word for “boyfriend.” Instead, we have a gender neutral term, called kæreste, meaning dearest. Your boyfriend/girlfriend is your dearest. Idk about you but I think that’s adorable
Edit: I love hearing all these translations in the replies
Same with Croatian, well not so gender neutral but dragi means dear for male and draga means dear for female
In Germany, Mariano is/was Isabella's friend.
In Japanese, he says “Isabella, it’s your boyfriend!”
In Thai he said "Isabella, (your) sweetheart has arrived."
Okay?
It's funny how in Polish he doesn't even refer to Mariano as "boyfriend" or any similar term, he just says "Isabela, someone to (see) you" and even if it's not direct translation it still suits

Not everywhere in Brazil, for example, where the word originated was in Rio Grande do Norte in the 1940s, when Americans came to Natal during World War II, and Brazilians started using words like "boy", which in Rio Grande do Norte is mostly used by straight people.

There is a way to point out him being somewhere physical but not here and saying: Your boyfriend is coming! Wouldn’t fit the mouth movement.

plus, he shapeshifts into Mariano
Isabela*, just with one "L" :)
That’s actually funnier!
fun fact : in Malay we change from 'your boyfriend's here' to 'he's here' to make the song feel more rhythm
I’m an English native speaker, but speak Japanese (not fluent) and he says:
Isabela, it’s your boyfriend!
i'm still laughing at how the indonesian one. THE VOICES- LMAO
In Norwegian they did the same thing
And the word "dia" also could pointed to any genders.
I love how mischievous(?) Finnish, Italian and Japanese sound (they give that annoying brother-vibe (or cousin in this case))
(And a random Finnish lecture: "poikkis" is a very cutesy (maybe even kinda mocking) way of saying "boyfriend")
The Japanese one is Denki Kaminari's VA from Boku No Hero Academia, and that is very fitting to both characters-!
indeed, Japanese was the funniest (that YOOOOO)
@@issanagayyesoryes I speak Japanese (not fluent) and he says:
Isabela, it’s your boyfriend!
イザベラ、彼氏だよ!
よ (yo) is kind of like an explanation type of thing. It is hard to translate into English.
Lmao
Um Brasilian portuguese too
Fun fact : German does not have an word for girlfriend/boyfriend it's just "freund" which translates to friend but we do for that have an feminin version for friend which is "freundin". So when we wanna say "my boyfriend is coming over" we would just say 'Mein Freund kommt gleich' (this is not the exact translation bc the exact translation would no one say bc its too long-)
Same thing in Dutch
But in this movie it’s they made it to “Isabella your love is here”
Und das triggert mich hart, die Harmonie von "Boyyy-frieeend" geht by "Freeeuuund" irgendwie komplett verloren finde ich :') und das sie "here" mit "hier" übersetzt haben fand ich auch weird, ja lipsyncing und so was aber wir sagen doch eher "Dein Freund ist da" als "Dein Freund ist hier", oder?
As a German, I can confirm this is true
And then, when people are confused about the "Freund" they just say "Dein Freund-Freund/ fester Freund" and it triggers me. That's why I always switch to english when I talk about my gf qwq
Hearing this one line over and over is trippy even though its across several different languages and I'm not sure why
No definitely something about that melody repeating becomes very disconcerting...
Yeah it gets distorted somehow
It's adorable that, in the European Portuguese version, he says "o teu amor chegou" which translates to "your love/lover is here". That sounds much more like a family member or friend teasing the other about a crush than a real boyfriend and it fits Camilo's character really well!
It’s the same in Latin Spanish. “Isabella tu amor llego” translated to “Isabella your love arrived!” Lol
That's so sweet too! It seems much more teasing and it fits what someone like Camilo would say! Especially when it's family. Whenever any of my cousins gets a crush on someone all the others are gonna tease them about it!
and its ironic that he treats mariano like he's isabella crush since she dont like him 💀💀
it's like that in italian too!
In Brazilian Portuguese he says “seu boy chegou”, meaning “your boy has arrived”. But “boy” is kind of a slang word for “boyfriend”, and just like in European Portuguese, it sounds way better and funnier since he’s teasing her about her “crush”.
I love how the Tamil version uses the word for "son-in-law" because that is the only family-approved version of boyfriend one can have xD

Fun fact:In Brazilian Portuguese, some words are from other languages or adaptations of some others. An example of this is the word Shampoo, which in Brazil becomes "Xampú". And for it Camilo says Isabela seu boy chegou, boy in portuguese are a Popular slang that is often used mainly among younger people. Another interesting fact is that in the Brazilian language we have a very large conjugation of verbs and we have words to express [Another interesting fact is that in the Brazilian language we have a very large conjugation of verbs, This happens because in the history of Brazil, immigrants from all over the world came here, some looking for a job, others fled their countries and came here (As in the case of Venezuela where families from there they came here because the situation was not good for them there)]. And when this peoples around the world came to here , They brought their cultures, cuisine, religion and language making our culture and language rich. The reason I really like the English version cause it's one of the few that has the "BoyFRIend" part, cause it actually stands like hes being a snarky rat child instead of just telling her that her boyfriend is here

Lol snarky rat child xD
In my case since I'm Indonesian so I understand the Indonesian's intonation. When the VA sings his part especially the "datang" part, it reminds me of the typical Indonesians younger siblings/cousins who tease their older siblings and kinda be like " oooooo look, your lover ( we don't have gender specific term for boyfriend/girlfriend ) comes 😏 "

1:41 Latin American Spanish he says: “Isabela your love is here.”
But I guess it could also be interpreted as “Isabela your lover is here.”
More like
Isabela, your love's arrived!
It could be "your love has arrived." or "the love of your life has arrived." "Lover" would be "amante" and they wouldn't want to put that in a Disney movie as in both English and Spanish those words carry much more sexual connotation than "my love" or "my boyfriend."
do they do that to keep it in rhythm? even though “tu novio esta aqui” would work(?)
@@daisha.243 Definitely. Tua-mor-lle-gó is only 4 syllables, just like Your-boy friend's-here. Tu-no-vio-es-táa-quí takes 6 syllables.
@@daisha.243 Yeah, they do that to maintain the rhythm. Because in English it goes like: “Isabella your boyfriend’s here.” This phrase has 7 syllables. It wouldn’t work if you say “Isabella tu novio está aquí.” Because that’s 9 syllables. You know what I mean?
